I bought this shoe and have ran in it once for just over 12km. It’s a really good shoe but I got pretty bad heel rub. I’m hoping using the heel lock tying technique will solve it. I’ve never had to do that before. It also does run slightly long. I also have the DN2 (regular, not elite) in the same size and it runs noticeably shorter than the DNE3. It is a great shoe though and so much fun to run in, but the heel rub will be a deal breaker for me if I can’t solve it EDIT 13/07: Heel locking the laces solved my heel rub issues completely, I did a Parkrun in them today and oh my word these shoes are immense, and incredibly fast! I went significantly faster in them (approx 1 min) than any other shoe I’ve ever ran in. These are my first pair of proper race shoes admittedly but still I’m amazed by how much faster they helped me go!
Had the same issue on my first 10k race in them Will try different socks and heel locking it too I didnt notice the heel slipping tho Other then that the shoes performance blow me away 10k and 5k pbs/prs in the same race One of the best racing shoes I own and I have a few
Agree with all of this! I also experienced the heel rub which caused some blisters smack bang in the middle of the back of the heel/ankle. Fixed it by putting one strip of rigid tape on my ankle. Hopefully an issue that resolves itself with more wear in the shoe. Love the shoe otherwise, it’s “elite” for a reason. Using it in the upcoming Melbourne Marathon.
have you noticed that he mentions an issue with his gate and that he has destroyed several pairs of different racing shoes with the same midsole build?
Yeah, that 'form' would cost you a small fortune if he had to buy these shoes himself -) I have a mate who has 1400 miles in a pair of Hoka Celios and they are still going strong, I have 500 miles on a pair of Endorphin Pro3s and they look fine. The ultimate test is obviously the Quasimodo leg drag 🤣
Running my 2nd marathon in 4 weeks. Can't seem to get on with the Alphafly 2s I bought for it, they have caused some gnarly blisters and my legs feel dead 10k into a race pace effort and I've tested them for 80k, so I've just bailed out and bought some Nitro Elite 3s. I ran faster than expectations in the nitro elite 2s in my 1st marathon so even if the 3s are same but roughly as good I can't wait!
Ciao, sono Andrea da Milano. Ottima recensione ben spiegata molto professionale. Detto questo vorrei un parere. Questa puma elite nitro 3 può andar bene per chiudere una Maratona sotto le 03:10' ad un passo di 4'20" al km? Grazie in anticipo per la risposta.
"Not the lightest shoe" Really? While literally true, apparently it's also an "Incredibly light shoe, even more so on the run." Love you reviews guys, but c'mon.
Have seen so many reviews on this..... But none can say or tell you what mileage the sole gives?? @ what mileage this shoe becomes useless? Coz, this shoe costs 230$..... If the sole/cushioning only lasts 300-400miles. Then.... I dont wanna be spending 230$ every 6 months ( coz tats my usage)🤷♂️. Can someone, who has actually used these nitro soles for a long time tell me the answer i am looking for? And is there any daily runner, in which the sole/cushioning lasts a whole lot more than this one?
I like this shoe but ill never buy it for only one reason. I hate how that big cat flutters up the looks of a already busy shoe that has the big nitro logo. I know its the companies logo but if they made it much smaller and applied it to the heel or tongue the design wouldn't have been ruined for me. No one had the guts to say no in the many corporate meetings they must have had before releasing this shoe. They took a clean shoe and made it look like a NASCAR. Every time I would look down and see the giant cat I'd put them back in my closet and regret spending my money on them.
I will use on sale Adios Pro 3s for long runs and sessions (or Boston 12s) but they are touch below the best when it comes to racing. Metaspeed Sky Paris or Vaporfly's are quicker on race day.
Nope. I have every version of the Pro3s and they do not come close to the Sky Paris in terms of forward propulsion. I find the Vaporfly's to deliver the same assistance as the Pro3's but the Endorphin Pro3 from Saucony are faster than both from half marathon upwards. Evo1? You have a pair?
I absolutely froth the Elite 3s- so much more guts to that aliphatic midsole which really level it up

@@v6i838 Nike trail socks work well for getting rid of the heel slip
Did anyone else notice the out sole rubber hanging off when he was praising the quality of the shoe 😂
have you noticed that he mentions an issue with his gate and that he has destroyed several pairs of different racing shoes with the same midsole build?
I did notice 😂. Carbon shoes are designed to only last 2-300 km. It is irony that it's non carbon neutral friendly to the earth 😂
Yes 😂
He took a race shoe on a gravel path. 🤷🏻

I prefer this to Metaspeed Sky for marathon distance as it feels more stable as a 4 hour runner

Clicked on the video, and the first thing I see is the destroyed outsole 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'll watch the rest once I'm done laughing!

This vs. the Adios Pro 3? 🤔
Not the lightest shoe? Maybe not compared to the Evo Pro but 187g is not weighty either😅

Like I tell my kids, don’t drag you feet when you walk…😂
was that outsole hanging? After how many Kilometers?

The king is still adidas either adios pro 3 or evo 1
