You missed out the biggest bug bare of the VPC-1 Slip tape problems. This is the only downer. After continued use the slip tape moves exposing sticky felt that then causes sticking keys. The only remedy is to take it apart and replace the Teflon pads. Everything else is brilliant about the VPC-1 except this design flaw that plagues every owner.
Great video. I guess I’m curious why you need both a hybrid and vpc-1. Do they not serve the same purpose? Is it the portability of the vpc-1 that makes it a must buy in addition to a hybrid piano? In a hybrid you get the grand action and midi-out right? Seems to me like the hybrid is superior.
Thanks for your informative vidéo. How does the VPC1 compare with the Kawai MP-11 SE? The latter came out in 2017 (vs 2013 for the VPC1) and, in addition to being a midi controller, has embedded speakers and sounds making it possible to start playing in a few seconds without turning on a computer. About the action mechanism, both seem very similar from what I read online.
This guy has had his VPC1 for 10 years, and he uses it daily. I've had mine for 3 years, and I also use it daily. QC issues? Please elaborate, 'cause I haven't experienced any...
@@SeaDrive300 may be batch related. Mine had velocity consistency problems. I'm not the only one though. Seems that quite a number of owners have experienced the same issues. There are videos on UA-cam that bear this out.
Man that piano was dope. I need that sample! :)
Been loving my VPC-1 for years! Got rid of many keyboards but that stood the test of time. The action, the classy looks and did I say... the action?!😉
Excellent and helpful review. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Very enjoyable and informative.
What speakers or sound system were you playing through?

I really enjoyed the feel of Yamaha's AvantGrand series. How does the action of the VPC1 compare?
A lot of helpful info
It's possible to program the pedal to get a modulation and a pitch bend controller? Thanks
If you're using this when composing, but you also need to control mod wheel; you'd have to get a separate box for that, yes?
AMC3 has 3 100mm faders that can help, but no mod wheel.
Quality control issues

Not my type of reviewer. I will avoid his videos.
