I’d love to give you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this video! Your designs are so beautiful. I love the little details you add that take your garments to the next level, and the fact that you show us that budget friendly yarns can still produce a classy and expensive looking item. I’m an older lady and I’ve only ever knit your socks, but this year I plan to stash bust a few sweater quantities, and have added quite a number of your jumpers to my queue. Your such a talented young lady. Wishing you continued success in 2025! 🤩❤
That’s so kind of you, thank you! Which jumpers are you thinking of? ☺️
@@lilykatemakes… well it might be a bit ambitious but I’ve queued the Piping hot Sweater, Movement sweater, 1703, Close to me cardi, and waiting for the new Sweatshirt version coming out. There are a few more, I just have to prioritise. 😳😝 I’ve also bought the Nettie scarf, such a nice little accessory. Go me! 😅
I enjoyed this video very much.
You are one of my favourite designer, and I truly think you are quite underrated in the "UA-cam knitting community". As many others have stated, I love your attention to detail and to human body / form. I also like that you don't shy away from colours. Greys, beiges, and whites make for a very "magazine sleek look", but they do tend to get boring after a while and it is refreshing to see bold reds, or pinks, or blues. I have bought the yarn to knit your calm down sweater and feels right tee. I absolutely love your calm down cardigan (if I graduate with the sweater, I might feel skilled enough to achieve that...). I also like the wishful sweater (and so many others, but they might not be really what I wear in my daily life). I would definitely love some lighter-weight garments, as I live in southern France, and the springs/summers/early autumns can get reaaaaaally hot, but I would not go for bralettes or very thin strap / revealing crop tops, as I don't wear those (except at the beach, but I more often go to work / grocery shopping than to the beach, unfortunately). I also like garments that are more on the fitted side than the oversized side. Or maybe I haven't "met" the proper oversized sweater pattern yet...
Edit : oh, and your checkerplate sweater is gorgeous !
All your designs are so beautiful ❤
@@christinegrigg7323 that’s very kind of you, thank you!
Happy to have found your designs! Definitely styles I like.
Glad you like them! What kind of knits do you generally go for?
@ I find that top down sweaters or dropped shoulder ones fit better than set in sleeves. I have done 2 with saddle shoulders and are interested in how you use short rows to get a good fit
@ interesting! I use short rows with every construction, and almost always top down. Wouldn’t dream of making a sweater without them 🙈
I loved this podcast! I have always loved the details you do in your patterns, but never found any patterns that I felt would work with my age. However, you have designed quite a few patterns this past year that would work for me. Looking forward to knitting a few of your patterns this year.
I really appreciate your thoughtfulness as to construction and details as a designer. I haven’t knit one of your designs yet (thanks to my existing loooong queue), but I look forward to in the near future. Your aesthetic is also lovely.
Thank you! I know the feeling with the long queue haha :)
I always appreciate when you (and your mom) re-knit your existing designs with new colors and small changes. it definitely seems like a good use of knitting time to me. I'm basic in my color preferences and I like the dark gray version of the Close to Me cardigan :)
@@rislachius thank you! Definitely a good use of knitting time. I think colours can be quite distracting (if you’re not a brights person, hot pink might put you off an item that you’d otherwise like) so it’s good to have both 😊
Thank you so much, I found you through this video and am currently watching all of your older videos. I am really enjoying all of them. Thank you so much for all of your content. I also love all of your designs and your creativity ✨
Your designs are incredibly well thought out and every detail considered. I love your ability to make basics and elevate them in the best ways. I lwant to knit all of these!
Thank you! I put a lot of time and thought into them so it's lovely to know that it shows 🥰
Lily Kate, I have watched countless Everything I made in 2024 videos and I have got to say, yours is my FAVOURITE! I loved your designs , you gave the perfect amount of description in a very relaxed and personal style. Off to find your designs on Rav to add to my queue! Can’t wait to see what you do in 2025! 🤩💕🤩💕🤩
Really enjoyed your 2024 run through. Love the attention to detail in all of your patterns. I would love to see a long sleeved T-shirt layering piece as a wardrobe staple. Can’t wait for the Checker Plate pattern too. ❤
Thank you! I do have a slim-fitting, fine gauge sweater planned for spring ☺️
@ I will definitely look out for this in the spring!
Thank you. So many interesting and helpful points about each make, in turn helping me in choosing which patterns (of course i really want to make nearly all of them)!
You are one of my favorite designers. Love the details ❤💙🧣🧥❄️
I adore this round up and am just constantly inspired by your work, thanks so much for sharing!
Fab video. I just love your attention to detail and down-to-earth approach 🥰 I’ve made your Erinome sweater for my daughter and am just about to start making the Close to Me Cardigan for me (daughter has also requested one for her too!) 😊
@@janinef66 thank you! Hope you like wearing (& knitting) both! ❤️
@ yes the patterns are beautifully written and the designs are gorgeous 🥰
I’m sitting watching you today from Preston as we are staying here for a few days with family. Happy New Year
@@bevabberley1524 small world! Hope you’re having a lovely time 😊
@@lilykatemakesyes thank you my son lives in Grimsargh😊
Love the technical knowledge you share in your designs, they are more structured than what I would normally knit but I learn so much your skill in this area which i think makes your designs really unique and interesting!
@@cathydonaldson5615 thank you! I love a bit of structure in my knits 😊
Great video! I've never knitted anything from you but now I actually want everything:D beautiful designs with so many thoughtful details!
Lovely to have your vlog pop up. Enjoyed your beautiful tailored designs! I see a new sweater pattern or scarf pattern coming to my Ravelry library! Hopefully, then onto the needles!
this helped me pick my patterns for doing the test knit so thanks for that! I would love to see you try your hand at a skirt, I know the shaping would be amazing. I'm looking forward to see what you plan to do with that sheer peachy colored bobbly swatch you posted on insta, I just know I'm going to be obsessed with whatever it is.
Fabulous! I would love to do another skirt sometime!
You are one of my favorite UA-cam channels and designers! What beautiful work you do and it is always so satisfying to see the perfection and structure and details you include in your patterns. I would love to see you do an updated cable cardigan so much! I know your cables would lineup And the cardigan itself would look so fitted and gorgeous! Have a wonderful 2025 and wishing you all the best!
What a beautiful display of design and knitwear. Can't wait to try a few of these patterns. Thank you
@@brendamacdougall3749 thank you! Hope you like them 🥰
Your video came up in my recommended to watch list and I love your patterns. I will definitely be adding a few of your designs to my project queue!
The Nettie scarves add such a lovely touch ❤
Your designs are so thoughtful and exquisite, bravo!
Thank you so much!
That was such a relaxing darling video. I'm just getting into the idea of knitting, and I look forward to what you make in 2025. Thank you so much❤
Your knits and designs are absolutely gorgeous! x
Thank you so much!
Beautiful designs. Also thanks for stating your opinions on inexpensive yarns : )
Thank you! No yarn snobbery from me :)
I was recommended your video on the youtube homepage and I'm so glad I decided to watch it because your patterns are lovely! I'm so looking forward to making one of your tees to wear in the spring and summer :)
UA-cam algorithm did well! Hope you like the tee patterns 😊
Love your designs a lot 🤎 Keep creating! Wonderful year of knitting!
Thank you so much!
So interesting and inspiring. Last year I knit so many things for other people so this year will be all about me, with lots of your designs. Happy New Year 🎉
Love that! It's so satisfying to wear items you've made yourself. No such thing as selfish knitting!
the way I added each of these patterns to my ravelry favorites, I wish I had 10 more pairs of hands to make them all
haha I know the feeling! Too many ideas, too little time
Same for me!
I love the bright yellow tee.
me too!
I’m glad I found this video. It’s very nice to meet you. 😊
Thank you for watching!
Your designs are perfect for me. I came across this video today. I have found my peeps. ♥
that is lovely to hear, thank you!
I'm excited to see your Checker Plate pattern. Every thing is beautiful! - Kimberly
@@thekindles1183 thank you! I’m so excited about the checkerplate sweater - it feels like a fun one to start the year with!
Just found you and loved your designs. I will be adding some to my list, especially the checkerplate sweater.
Thank you! I'm excited for the Checkerplate pattern release :)
Absolutely love your patterns but have yet to make one! I’m off to Ravelry to favorite a bunch of them 😊. My knitting goal this year is to only knit from stash. I’m sure I have yarn for several of your patterns!
Thank you! Which are you thinking of with stash yarn? 😊
I loved this podcast review of all your amazing design knits! Beautifully knit pieces and amazing precise creations. You are clever. Your house looks great. How does it feel? 🥰
@@sharonmerton9812 thank you! The sun was showing this room off to its best (until the last 10 minutes haha). It’s so nice to be in a space that I’ve created myself!
Watching this while I work on my checkerplate test knit! I'd love to see more fingering weight tees/tanks as they're much more suited to our hot Nova Scotia summers than DK weight ones (esp a fingering weight movement tee!) but I always love all your designs and their attention to little details and immaculate shaping 🥰
Yayy love that! More fine gauge knits coming right up :)
Stuck in because of snow..cast on calm down cardigan.. ❤❤❤❤❤beautifully written pattern..Rolls royce of pattern writing loving every stitch..❤❤❤❤😊
Ah that is so lovely to hear! Thank you so much. Knitting definitely makes a snow day better!
You design such gorgeous Knits! I want them all.
Thank you!
Loved your video. Your patterns look so different on. Would love to see a front key hole summer sweater with cap sleeves? Something light ?
Thanks! I'm intrigued what you mean by looks different on? 😊
That bright, "Barbie" pink looks amazing on you. The vest paired with a white shirt would slap. I think I have my next project sorted out ;)
I do love that bright pink! I have a couple other items in that exact colour too 😅 Would love to see it over a white shirt!
I loved this, thank you!
thank you for watching!
Can’t wait for this New design!
yay! It'll be available next week 😊
I love your more elegant knits 😍 But I rarely buy patterns (improvising a lot), so I guess my vote doesn't count 😅 But it is inspiring to see your knits and few I marked as potential buys, when I have more knitting time, or I just want to actually follow a pattern, and save time on frogging improvisation fails 😁
Thank you! Definitely more elegant knits to come in 2025 ☺️
I’d love to be able to knit! ❤
UA-cam is the place to learn!
Love your wallpaper.
Isn't it pretty?
I love that first pattern❤ is that stich beginner friendly?
Regards patterns for 25: what Im hoping to knit this spring is a summer cardigan to put on chilly morning of evening. Short sleeves but not tight fitting on the arms because that feels so sweaty and a lower scoped neck. I used to own one that I lost and I have never been able to find one I liked for sale so it is one of the reasons Im now learning to knit 😊
Thank you! I'd say it's suitable for a confident beginner - it uses twisted stitches, not cables.
Definitely planning a lightweight cardigan for 2025!
I will buy the Checkerplate pattern. I like that!
Thank you! Glad you like it.
I am not much for geometric and maybe it's not exactly geometric, but I totally want to make that truck plate sweater without the collar! Maybe just an icord collar for me?
I just bought a fake kislux and I love the fact that I didn't have to spend 3-4k on it. Yes, it's beautiful, but it's just a bag and no one cares if it's real or fake. I have a lot of real stuff that no one cares about.
I'd like to see a raglan sweat shirt.
My Movement Sweater is pretty much that!
don't block it if you don't want to!
it would need washing at some point anyway so may as well block! And the sleeve 'seams' smooth out with blocking 😊
❤❤❤
