people will always confront you when you do street photography. even if you are not pointing camera at them they would think that you are taking a photo of them and start screeching.
Really appreciate how you explained your approach to taking photos and not being worried about what people think of you. I've always struggled with that when taking photos on the street or for events where I need to take photos of people. Thank you so much :)
7:13 the shot with the guy in the suit, the empty window he's looking in, the zebra crossing and the trafffic warden all would have made a sick composition/ shot. Photography is so cool
You take the most simplest things and turn them into phenomenal pieces of art. very inspirational as a photographer. I wish people in the US were that excepting of a stranger snapping pictures of them, people in the large cities over here tend to get violent and irrational very quick. I always have to find models or people who are willing to trade sometime for free photography.
The bits about approaching and taking photos of people is what I came to UA-cam for today. I’m very shy when it comes to shooting in public even when I’m not shooting people. Something I need to work on. Thanks for the vids man, big fan.
I made the mistake of watching this while eating. You tossed the camera in the air and I choked on my broccoli in horror of how badly that could have gone 😂 Always look forward to watching your content, very relaxing (except when you toss expensive babies in the air) and gorgeously composed and edited pics!
Literally just bought this Lens to acompany my Optical Wander Creator Bundle that I purchased. Really want to try out some street stuff which is not what I usually take photos of. Looking forward to this weekend as it arrives tomorrow. Happy days. ;)
When I first starting photography everyone recommended my first lens to be 50mm 1.8, I really hate it cause is not wide enough( every beginner want to shot super wide pictures and knew nothing bout low light cause always crank up the ISO) as I moving on nifty fifty has become such a big help in the process learning about photography.
Big up for talking about the anxiety associated with street photography! What you said is useful for me - sure, people will think you're weird but who cares, it's just a momentary thought.
When it comes to the framing, I used to do it as well, white frames, 3 horizontal posts then 3 vertical posts. I don't anymore. I use mainly a 4x5 crop and roll I tout that way, just provides this cool seamless look in my feed now.
Just what I needed I've used the 50mm for a while and going London to do some street photography and was having my doubts but definitely don't have any more, great video.
Very impressed with your eye. I’ve been browsing videos to see the potential of this camera and videos like this are definitely helping me make my decision
I honestly detest the framing on instagram. Its tough being a fashion photographer, and you can´t really show the whole image as it should be seen. Would be cool if you could click on it and it showed it in full screen mode. And i really love your POV vids, they are so awesome and inspiring. keep it up mate :)
I have this lens I use it on my A7 i It’s really nice but I feel like I want an 85 mm or 70 200 mm Well for now 50 mm is good Thank you for sharing this video Create more videos like this using cheap gear for Street Photography Peace ...
The 50 was one of my favorites on Sony, but my absolute go to lens was the 28mm f2. That is hands down the best street photo lens for E mount, and it's also cheap, and the build quality is actually pretty nice, better than the 50. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. 😉
Absolutely love your street photography… I’ve just got myself a Sony A6000 I’ve be told to get the 50mm lens. Would love to do this street work when I have bit more experience with a camera.. I’m more into drones so this is all new to me👍🏻😎
Awesome shots as always Sam! Interesting that when I've been looking online the reviews for this lens are mostly negative... your shots prove otherwise
7:14 I've wanted to tell that you actually in some countries would be vaunted for it, especially when you are so close to some people like woth taxi driver. I did today session also, 3h of pure 600 street rain photos and after rain. I wasn't too close to people cause there people are quite aggressive. On the day you can see few peoples who will say it too you but the best thing you can put some vibes on and shoot. You will not have to worry about what you do. This is my advice for some people who didn't used to it and feel sometimes awkward like me.

Amazing video. I've got this combo plus two more lenses and I have to say that I felt like going Itú for some photos after I watched this amazing video. Thank you so much. Cheers from Brazil.
I'm at minute 9:30 and I wonder how you soon in to get the focus on the mirror of the motor cycle. Is dat because of the lens? I'm a beginner and I have a Sony a6400 with a 16 to 55mm lens, but idk how to do what you just did
