I'm always so terrified to ask someone if they want their picture taken, I feel like here there's no way people are this nice and up for it, am yet to ask maybe once I do it a couple times it'll be fine lol

I have asked people before. You just have to realize a large majority of people will say no or just ignore you completely. But no one will ever say yes if you don’t ask.

85MM is really a blessing! I dont know if it is underrated however in my new job as a videoproducer I often end up using it for entire videos. I'd say if the room is a bit cramped I need a 50mm, but otherwise you just have to make room and change positions.

I have this lens and the it very rarely leaves my camera when I do street photography. Love it and can’t wait to put it to work in London in October.

I have a sigma 24-70 2.8, a viltrox 85mm 1.8, (and a 60mm pergear for macro, but...) the viltrox was like $400.. and it absolutely CRUSHES it.. I wasn't expecting a cheap* lens to be as amazing as it is. I love it

Just new to the Sony game and live view. Do you ever use the eyepiece anymore or is it always the monitor.
What would you think about trying to dual purpose Sony's 90mm f/2.8 macro for something like this?
Such a sick video and lens choice. I love the lighter feel of the Samyang lenses but still shoot crystal clear on the A7rIII i use. I've bene using signals 16 and 30mm art lenses as well, really lighten the load and still draw in some crisp shots!

Hey hello, I'm a total newbie in photography. When you speak about an 85mm lens, if I have an APS-C camera I have to use a 50mm Because of the multiplication, or are you talking about an 85mm for cameras with APS-C sensor?

i as the sanyang 84 / 1.4 and the sony 85 /1.4 get great photos from the sony havent tryed the samyang yet
still new to photography. after all the positive words for the 85mm, I was wondering whether a 50mm on a Canon APS-C could bring kind of the same results? theoretically, with the crop factor, this results in a 80mm style, doesnt it?
500mm is equal to about 75mm in a crop factor
I mean you would need a 50 mm f1.1 to get the same blurry background as the FF f1.8...
