Calling an AI prompter an “artist” is like calling me a chef for microwaving my leftover food from any restaurant.
or someone who uses digital to create art artist, as they don't need real skills hand drawing, and painting needs lol
@@Loki-qo2kb digital artists need almost all the same skills as physical medium artists. I do both, and honestly physical mediums like watercolour are easier.
Both need an understanding of shape, form, light, reflection, negative space, value, composition, colour.
The advantage to physical art is the imperfections become part of the piece and make it better. And you can manipulate the medium in whatever way you want.
The only real advantages digital art has is lower cost (don't need to pay for paints or canvases) and the undo button. Everything else is almost the same. And digit art is better when you want perfect renderings

Is that just the same just like what the other commenters said though all art mediums have different pain and needs.Saying digital illustrator don't have skills is very insulting really, because not having the muscle memory, the knowledge and understanding of what we want to create will just yield dog shit work.
And I will ask,do photographers(professional )don't have skills because they use technology like digital cameras? No I don't think so.

Remember, artists have literally NO limit. Their limit is how far they are willing to go.
AI is a useful tool, but using it isn't art. Even if it is art, the program itself has to be the one credited for creating the artwork, not the person who put the prompt in.
I mean make fun of AI all you want, but it is infinitely cheaper than paying an actual artist to draw a dnd character that I just want art of so I can use it as a token or something.
And that is a perfectly fine use for it.
It's when people take credit for it and pretend to Be artists and get fame for something they didn't even create it becomes an issue.
@@whothefrickareyou8106I’m a big ai fan. Cause of the convenience of it. Now. I would LOVE to commission an artist. And i have done it. Thing is. It’s SO expensive. I spent 120 dollars on art of a character. It was 1 dude. (And I also get artists harassing me to commission them.) it was really fun to commission someone cause they really brought my character to life. But I have so many characters and the cost in the long run would kill me.
And people say “just learn for draw”. I can’t. Don’t know the full reason. For some reason I can’t see something from a blank page. I need a sort of frame. If you gave me a lined drawing. I could add the colour and stuff. Or if it’s a 3d physical model. I could paint it. It’s just been that way for me.
I have one rule I always have when it comes to ai art. Always say it. Don’t claim it’s yours and you don’t use ai. (It’s like when someone says they made something by hand but used power tools.) just be clear you used ai and which one.
I also have a very long process when I do use ai. It involves actually having like 4 pages of lore and details of a character first. Then generating several things. Editing them together in a photo editor. Regen using the thing I edited as a base. Edit it, adding new stuff I liked. Switching the prompt, etc. over and over. So I actually put work into it. I like AI, I am an AI supporter. But I don’t hate traditional art. True AI artists love all the things other artists love, because they have practiced other art forms.
AI haters that think that AI will replace them don’t realize how impractical it is. Every non-AI artist that I’ve seen use AI image software have noted how clunky and difficult it is for it to even give you what your prompt asked for.
AI image generators, like any other art form, require humans to figure out its kinks and quirks to shape it to what they want. It’s a huge amount of trial and error, Way more than most other art form, because you don’t have as much control as in other art forms.
But what is lazier? Using a keyboard or needing to buy supplies, test out all their different mechanics, find the correct erasers, needing to start over when a tiny mistake was made, needing to find the perfect coloration to fit with the lighting and brightness of the image. I have a feeling you have never used a pencil In your life. I will admit it, i used ai image generation before, but i clearly said it was ai and i just used it to fill up space, not to actually use it for *art* purposes. And Elon Musk is also just a Jerk for cropping out the Watermark.
You’re not an artist. AI is literally theft, It’s stealing other peoples work to make your own amalgamation of deformities. Please do yourself a favor and pick up a pencil, and get your butt to work, you lazy bum.
@@b3rnardGamingForeveryes but people are just nasty to people using ai art harmlessly. And yes harmlessly, I know AI steals shit but somebody posting an ai generation that took stuff from your drawing on twitter is harmless.
I agree, ai art is hated on a little too much.
The focus should be on _monetized_ _ai_ _art_
@@gabeitch9142 They''re stealing work to post art that benefits no one but themselves, due to the amount being produced the algorithms push more ai content, making legitimate artists show up less and ESPECIALLY upcoming artists, It's not harmless It's detrimental to everyone who wants to make a living off it
Wow! He did a great job randomly going after someone asking for help!
Was looking for a comment like this. This anti-ai circle jerk is getting out of hand.
Right?
This video seems to have a pro C&H spin, but really it just seems the one artist is kind of a nonce for someone tied to a large company with a long history.
Fr scary the number of people here who support attacking an innocent person because they don’t like the topic
aww, you left out a detail: someone stealing art🥰
@@boredperson491 good thing ai art doesn’t steal art 😉
"this prompt would be blocked" is so very correct. The prompts have to be so specific and can't contain even names of a company or copyrighted character
Incorrect. Stable diffusion is not restricted in the slightest, the only limitation is whatever checkpoint you choose to use.
He have the power... He use his power to draw what AI cant
For the love of god please tell me I didn't just heard "AI artist"
your grammar sounds like southern hillbilly
Ikr, we should stop associating them with artists and call them prompters instead since it fits better and makes way more sense.
Dave is completely in the right because ai art isnt real art its just stolen art mixed together made by a robot real is the creativity which only humans have creativity.
The prompt block thing is the funniest response 😂
Many in the UK are just waking up to this news. Thank you for the sensible coverage.
Ai and artist don’t go together
Except they do, photoshop has had generative tools for years, that's just a simple form of Ai.
And now, it has full prompt generation for backgrounds and shit; so you have no fucking clue brody.
I am actually so sick of this AI shit. One of the manhuas I'm reading suddenly shifted their "art style" to AI, and I've read close to 300 chapters of it already, and I'm beyond disappointed for following the story for 2 years, to suddenly have it gone to shit because the artist was insecure about their drawing skills.
Which one? im interested
calling ai users "artists" is like me ordering at a restaurant and then calling myself a chef
He just wins. Using a example of him drawing something compared to a AI which needs much more effort is gold.
I can have the Ai generate a chimp with a cigar in it's asshole in a few minutes bruv, theres even a free Ai that loves to generate realistic buttholes
There’s no such thing as an “ai artist” they aren’t an artist 💀
If running a prompt through an AI makes someone an artist, then this whole world is fucked
The world it already fucked. This’ll just fuck it up more (also remember, no matter how good your art skills are, you can always draw the ai bros pregnant or getting railed 😊)
Do people watching this have eyes. Twitter post says nothing about being an artist at all. It's not even directed at anyone. Pretty small infraction to send millions of followers after someone. AI problems are real and concerning but attacking small Twitter users is literally pointless.
How is a film director or a photographer an artist?
@@nickbilske8140created and like edited with a human vision and also like hard work

A lawyer would laugh in his face, this is fair use plain and simple.
Art isn't fair use genius, you do know photographers can sue people who post images they took right?
If I took a picture of Elon musk, and Elon musk used it, I could sue him

Dude was throwing haymakers left & right
Not really, honestly.
The law isn't on his side for suing Elon for that in any universe.
So that's just posturing, as much as we'd all like to see Elon get sued.
Making a picture of a chimp smoking a cigar with his ass isn't exactly the highest form of debate either; Dave made himself look stupid honestly.
1 artist vs 1000 ai bros not even a contest artist no diff
Trying to beef with an Internet Veteran is usually a bad move. Because the internet has always been shit and they've been through it the longest and they've lost any care to hold back.
tf he actually did that that dave guy is a straight up gangster he comes off as a cartoon character someone needs to make a film based on him lol
The most stupid internet beef on the planet
Definitely not the dumbest internet beef
Not the dumbest but it's up there
The guy just asked for advice and then a random famous guy came, insulted him and then actually wasted his time drawing a monkey smoking a cigarette.
Like bro cmon how is one so chronically online?
He didnt even insult him? He just said AI cant draw that
@@Trihexagonalit definitely could
Don't think i didn't notice the "poison" instrumental in the background
Dave really said "FUCK THEM ROBOT PAINTBRUSHES!"
Man’s a legend
ai nerds can not fight against actual artists on what they can make. that is a limitation only ai has and will always have.
I'm an artists and I don't care. Let people use AI.
