Great video! I am a single mom of 2 young kids (7 months & 6 year old) and just started clinicals this semester. It's very tough. Mommy guilt is real. This interview was a good reminder to keep pushing & that it will be worth it. Thank you!!
It absolutely will! Modeling resilience is powerful and your kids that are old enough will remember. Turn off that overthinking mom brain and know that they’ll bounce back despite your absence now. I know it’s hard!
Hi Bree, soooo I love this content on how she got the job. I have some of the things already that she used in her portfolio. I have a question. Did she put everything in a folder ? Did she have several copies with individual folders? I thought my dream job would be critical care however I am leaning towards hospitalist! Also, I truly appreciate you replying to me on prior posts. I ordered two suit sets for my upcoming onsite interview. Lastly how do you feel about a recruiter telling you on the phone that the position is a three year commitment? I think it’s due to the fact that it’s a rural area that is underserved. Which to be honest is an area I am striving to help and provide excellent healthcare to! Plus she told me the range of pay and it was a very good range which tells me they are having difficulty filling the position.
Loved the interview! i am currently an AGACNP and would love to see a follow up video discussing her experience as a new grad in critical care and the orientation/transition period, it would be so helpful.
I start my acute care NP program this month! I love your videos! Thanks for doing what you do. I am an ED nurse and you inspired me to get my CEN certification before I start the program and now I can add it to my resume. I feel nervous and excited but your videos, whether interview style or just tips and tricks, have given me confidence to take the leap so thank you!
I loved this interview! I start nurse practitioner school in the fall and you both offer such inspiring and practical advice for future NPs. Nurse Bree, I have been watching your videos for a long time and your advice has helped me decide to take the leap of faith and go back to school. Your videos have truly impacted my life and you really are a true role model! :)
Awe yay Lindsey!! So glad you’re taking the plunge. And thank you so much for taking the time to reach out. this work is very involved and sometimes eats up more time than I want but feedback like this gives me wings.
