Unfortunately, there seems to be no way for not cutting Kara's hair. I checked around in the internet to become certain. Kara was extremely beautiful with her long hairstyle, and now she will be looking boyish for the rest of her story. I am extremely sad. Changing her hair without cutting them, would have been the solution, Quantic Dream.
