- Dame Victoria Sharp has been sworn in as the new President of the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court, succeeding Sir Brian Leveson who has retired.
The appointment makes her the first woman to hold the post, which effectively makes her the judge in charge of the criminal justice system of England and Wales.
There were also speeches from the Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett, Dame Victoria, Attorney General Geoffrey Cox QC, Chairman of the Bar Richard Atkins QC and President of the Law Society Christina Blacklaws.

I understand traditions but the outfits are hilarious
Traditional costumes can appear comical, but judicial costumes are not particularly amusing for many individuals making an appearance in front of them.

I find chills running up my body. The Ponce & Circumstance or the Royal Court Impresses upon me the magnate of future processes. I am an American. Here justice is swift & definite. The ritual of justice In England is wondrous. Thanks for letting me witness this.

That’s not all they do, they assist in the writing of judgements (at the direction of the judge) and research for the judge to which they are assigned

My country, which was a former British colony and now is a Commonwealth country still use "Your Lordship" and "My Lord" to address Court of Appeal and Supreme Court justices; we use "Your Honour" to address lower court judges.
One of our uncles was a Queens counciaar many years ago I did not know that util one of his sisters ours mother told me and all our mother was in service as a maid to Justice Tucker many years ago. our mother told us that the present justice tucker at that time might have been the son of his father who was also justice tucker the senior of the two I was taken to meet justice tucker and his wife at their home, by at that time my mother and father as my brother was born some time later

I also find it strange the Attorney General and Treason May that has brought this case to court . Geoffrey Cox ( aka Attorney General) tried to dupe the Public by hiding earnings that he should have declared. £400.000 he earned from rental properties. Tereason May has turned her back on the Democratic will of the People . I think it should be those 2 in the dock. This is a national DISGRACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
