- They use *garlic chives* . In Tagalog (Chinese) it’s *kutsay* . - While *spring onions* we just call *Sibuyas* in Tagalog like the other sibuyas - Western chives are way different and we don’t use them in the Philippines Alsooo. They do make crispy versions of noodles in Thailand so this could still be kinda traditional 😂 Also. “Lasang kawali” do we finally have a Tagalog equivalent to “wok hay” ??? I do like “hininga ng kawali” more though

Ninong Ry same as you, I love to cook and eat 😅, did thai cooking and other cuisines. Tamarind paste is simply our ripe sampalok cooked and turn in paste.Yes, you can use it for sinigang. You can also use that for Vietnamese style of fish cooking. Thai always use fish sauce and high heat. Palm sugar can be used but white or brown is ok. As you will noticed, they have chili and white sugar as part of their condiments on their table. Maybe we can cook together on your channel or I can share with you recipes for your followers. 😊 Sinigang mix can be used for marinade for fried chicken too. Tried it before.

i also use sinigang mix in addition to using vinegar in preparing dinuguan. kasi, the dinuguan seems to lose its sourness as we reheat the dish. my family loves dinuguan that i have to prepare more than what we can consume in a day.
