Leftover hot dogs - we chop them, add to a box of cornbread mix with a big handful of cheddar. Bake them in a muffin tin and serve with tons of mustard!
@@lorrainebarnes4633 make the cornbread mixture just like it says on the box (1 egg, 1/3 cup milk) and you can either chop up the hit dogs real small and mix in bits into the batter with the cheese, OR mix the batter and cheese, pour into a muffin tin, and them put one larger piece of hit dog into each muffin, making it more like a hot dog. If you do that you can use hot dog wienies!
When I was little my Nuna would make us “weenies, noodles, and tomato sauce” and it was so so good! Exactly what it sounds like, think like chicken noodle soup but tomato based with weenies instead..she used egg noodles…now I wish I had watched her as she passed 16 years ago and I’ve never been able to make it as good as she did!
I love so much that you show us your process and give us notes afterwards, regarding whether or not you would change/add anything. Thank you so much for all of your videos and for taking the time to "troubleshoot." I hope y'all enjoy your trip!
I have a recipe for a hot dog soup that is made with canned baked beans. Easy - saute 2 carrots and q large onion that you have chopped in tablespoon of oil, add the hot dogs, 1 1/2 cans of baked beans, 1/2 can V-8 juice ( or 2 small cans), teaspoon salt and pepper, 1 tablespoon garlic powder and 1 tablespoon onion powder
Here in California, I can buy tomato paste in a tube so, you just put the cap on and it saves for quite a while. Then you can portion out what you need instead of opening up a whole can.
When we have leftover hot dogs or keilbasa i like to fry them up til crispy then remove them from the pan amd fry up some potatoes amd onions (sometimes green pepper) with garlic powder ,onion powder,(sometimes slap ya mama or tonys creole) salt and pepper until the potatoes are crispy and golden. Add back in the hotdogs/keilbasa then top with cheese (pepperjack or triple cheddar for me) and it is sooo good!!!! I cant wait to try some of these!
Hey Kristin! Those green tomatoes just spoke to my soul. My granny was from Barbourville, KY and she would make fried green tomatoes all the time when I was younger. It reminded me of the good ol' days. As always, thanks for the great video :)
You could cut up the hot dogs, brown them up & add to sour kraut. Or you could do beans and wienies (baked beans with the hot dogs cut up. Probably everyone has heard of these, but those are the ones that came to mind. Honestly, we would've probably just eaten them as chili dogs for lunch the next day. The foot longs are fun!
We cut hot dogs into slices as you did and let them sauté in a pan until they get golden in color then scramble some eggs over it. Add ketchup when serving 👌🏽
thanks for being a real mom! its all good to cook these big meals sometimes, but you showed how most everyday mom actually cook and not break the bank! thank you thank you!
Left over hotdogs is perfect for a lunch. We chop them up, put them in a pan together with cubes of boiled potatoes and chopped onions. Cook it in the pan until it gets a nice, crispy and brown edge. Serve it on a plate with a fried egg on top. Salt and pepper to taste.
Fried green tomatoes BLT and that Bacon ranch pasta salad....literally MY faves in a meal!!!! I add chunks of tomatoes to the pasta salad AND thank yoy for the idea of adding fried green tomatoes to a BLT ...I love them apart haveto be mibd blowing together !

Leftover hotdogs- I love a comfort food from Finland. It’s called nakkikastike and it’s basically hotdogs in gravy flavored with ketchup and served over mashed potatoes. It’s so yummy!
Leftover hot dogs makes good Ole beanie weenies for me, I know so inventive right, but it's always so good. I always love the idea of roasting potatoes for like fries or wedges or a hash, but I never really am happy with the results and I've tried all the methods, but that's just me. Anyway dinner looked yummy girl
My stepdad has always pan fried or seared hot dogs. I didn’t think my husband would like it, but he loves it and that’s the only way I make them. I put a nonstick pan on the stove turned onto medium heat. (Because I baby they, no need to add any butter or oil. I dropped the hotdogs in, I sprinkle them heartily with Morton’s Nature’s Seasoning and cook them for about 7 minutes until they get color and smell finished. Right before I take them out, I sprinkle them with Parmesan cheese and let the cheese melt down. We serve it with baked beans or Mac and cheese or whatever’s in the pantry. We also make chili dogs with them. Love your videos!
With left over hot dogs us Hispanics use them in breakfast with scrambled eggs. We chop them an fry them up with oil. Add in eggs scramble them an serve them on a warm tortilla with cheese & salsa sooo bomb !

the pale hot dogs omg love u girl! My grandpap made “mush”. Scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and keilbasa. On cheap dinner nights he replaced with hot dogs. Great once it has the flavor of the fried potatoes
My mom used to fry up a big pan of fried potatoes with onions and maybe a little green pepper. She’d put chopped hot dogs in. This was really good when feeding the 6 kids. You could use uncooked or leftover cooked ones, just heat them through
I make Pork n beans and left over hot dogs. 2 cans pork n beans, onion,TBS of ketchup and 2 TBS BBQ sauce and cut up hotdogs. I like making corn bread with it . I’ll have to try the fried green tomatoes on my BLT. Sounds yummy. Thanks for sharing you dinner ideas🤗
I know it sounds funny but I've been watching you since the beginning and it's so fun to see your palate expand! I feel like you try things now that you never would have a few years ago! So proud keep it up
I know you don't love onions, but growing up my mom would cut them down the middle vertically, but not all the way through! Like a hot dog bun, then she would caramelize onions, top them with bbq sauce, and then top with cheese! Either a like kraft single (my favorite!) or shredded cheddar. Then she popped them under the broiler and we ate them with a fork - no bun or anything! So, so good lol!
I be making beans and franks i fry the hotdogs with onions&green peppers then I add the beans a little garlic powder sugar and a cinnamon and some butter make some white rice it be so good serve in a bowl rice at the bottom beans&Frank's on top I use Heinz vegetarian beans

Everything looked awesome. I use the same kind of bacon. but in the Applewood flavor. As far as the hotdog leftovers. We mix them eggs for breakfast. Mix them in Kraft Mac n cheese.
9:10 Crema is runnier than sour cream. They taste the same to me. But I use each on different meals. (I like sour cream on taco salad, baked potatoes. But like crema for chalupas (tostadas) because it has ‘less profile’ and lays flatter on the tortilla. For example. 😄🤷🏻♀️)
