Caroline Icarus MK II Preamp/Drive - Quick Taste Demo

We're beginning to get these out into the world, so we wanted to give you a quick taste of what you can expect. We had customers telling us for years that the original Icarus was absolutely fantastic through these amps, and they weren't lying. So we plugged in our Vox AC-15 - a readily available and known commodity in the tube amp world - and decided to show you the Icarus v2 set as a clean boost, an overdrive into a clean amp, and how it sounds overdriving an amp that's breaking up.
Icarus is the preamp/boost pedal based on the preamp sections from our Parabola™ tremolo and Météore reverb, but with a few enhancements: a hybrid of germanium and silicon clipping diodes, two different gain sections to allow for clean boost or drive, selectable buffered or true bypass, and a usefully voiced hi-cut control.

It's two separate gain stages - one set for clipping and overdrive, the other for clean boost, and buffered or true bypass. It's slightly tweaked EQ from the limited edition Icarus V2 and Aaron Graves overdrive we released in March and July.
