- A rare interview with a relaxed and open Tom Waits about songwriting, fatherhood, musical instruments, Keith Richards, the chicken ranch and Dracula.
Interview by Denise Donlon, broadcast on Much Music in 1992.
When Tom started caressing the Conundrum I instantly thought of What’s He Building In There, pure genius! Whenever I introduce someone to Tom I always start with Goin’ Out West and they’re hooked! Thanks for the upload mate 🤙
GENIUS
Brilliant! 😊
Somewhere he said music is just something u do with the air,lol hes the ultimate airbender.A few movies missing on the film credits, loved him in 7 psychopaths
😂 "the underwear of strangers"!! Damn...this is priceless...thanks so much for posting it x
for me the best album!
His style is seriously down by law
So many awkward silences that his leather jacket is trying to fill the gaps in the conversation 😄 He really needs quick witted interviewers who know how to react to his funny side.
Anazing
I agree films sometimes become songs See Dead Presidents Day
A film is a rather elaborate song. A song is a compressed film. A song can tell the story of a film in lesser time. Especially if it has a music video to come with it a song is essentially a short film.
Alcoholism at its finest
Cheers 🥂
