Table saw button upgrade and installation of a soft start module

- To add more safety to my Craftsman 113 table saw I upgraded the saw start button. Also I installed soft start module that helps saw to start more smoothly and protects my fuses from tripping.

THanks so much for all the great tips!! I am just in the process of painting my 113. 2752` Craftsmen Red, like you did. Going to put that soft start and switch in as well! Very much appreciated!

By bringing the wire into box through separate holes from the soft start will produce eddy currents which will heat the metal and can be a fire risk.
I think there should be some abrasion protection for the individual wires as well, otherwise they might rub on the punched holes.
I want to see the result
My saw is older craftsman with start switch with capacitor and relay. Can I use this setup with my saw. It is 1 hp direct drive. It has a start winding in motor do I just disconnect this wire and just use common and run connections?
sounds like you have an induction motor. this softitart will not work in that case
@@steven.woodward All of the old Craftsman saws had heavy induction motors.

would love to do this mod but the Hitachi 371468 Soft Start module you linked is no longer available. I can't seem to find anything comparable in the United States for some reason.

You make good stuff but too fast to follow, you can slow down a bit, explain a bit more.
There is a speed control setting on UA-cam on the right bottom corner in settings. You can sloooooow it doown.
why do you and all others on UA-cam speed up when you are demonstrating how to do something you will get more thumbs up if you would slow down.
you can choose slower play back speeds on You Tube. just click the gear icon
