Nice video. I'd like to race a 2011 zx10R with a Guhl flashed ECU. The one I raced without the flashed ECU got defeated rather effortlessly.
I have a guhl tune on my 2011 with full exhaust and powercomander, qs, and some other goodies and it made 188.6whp so that seems like legit numbers right there..
It does remove the top speed limiter as well.
From the automotive tuning that I've been involved with in the past, octane is a major component.

Turn around time was great. Sent it out on a Monday had it back Wednesday. No need for a pc5 tell don what pipe your running and he will map your ecu for it. He was also able to enable me to turn tc off on the fly.
Just think how they’ll be blown away in a few years after this. The jump they make in 2016 is just bonkers.
Just pulling the throttle plates did gain some, but not nearly as much because not all of the restriction was done with the throttle plates. Timing change also released more power, so to get the maximum you would have to get the flash, simply pulling the secondary throttle plates would not get you all the power that you could get.
how long does it take to do the flash and return sent my ECU and got it the next day I did pay for overnight shipping

I have a zx10r 2012. I am from new zealand. Is it safe to run a link pipe and slip on with out getting it tuned or reflashed?

So when it was said that just pulling out the secondary throttle plates, that was without a flashed ecu? Or it doesnt matter?
I've just seen that to a point the engine can not use the higher octane as the gains are minimal. i understand what you are saying, don't get me wrong. What i am saying is, for the engine performance wise with a stock motor it would not need the extra octane. Fuel only says how thermal efficient the engine will be without knocking, correct. So if no A/F is being delivered, then we do not need the extra more octane to burn the mixture. I am actually looking into this very thing right now.

mr brock I have a 2011 zx10r w pc5 k&N air filter with ackroprovic half system exhaust, so all I need to do is get it flashed mapped and remove 2nd throttle plates, to get that much power? also in what order do I need to in stall the pc5 map,dyno, flash, af sensor(all add on to the power commander 5) any right or wrong way?
also can you use a programer on this bike after the ecu is flashed? such as bazazz or power comander? Cause those programers go off of factory ecu settings correct? anyways will they work if the ecu is flashed safely?
Thanks for the information. i have a 2013 gsxr 600. Does it make sense for me to flash my ecu before i install a power commander and have the bike dyno tuned? or are these two processes essentially the same thing?
Q: Brock- you said the last time you had the full stock S1000RR it only made 180 on pump gas. Can you post the dyno on a flashed ecu s1000rr then compare the models?
i have a 10 and i could be wrong but i thing the bimmer is mostly unrestricted. I think most gains are achieved by pipe and additions like that. its the kawi that was so restricted
So glad I live in Australia as our zx10r is not restricted well not as much as the poor buggas in the U.S.

You are correct, they are not AS restricted, but by: Raising rev limit, speed limiter disable, fuel cut disable, remap secondaries, tc change while moving, tc retain off setting - we do notice measurable performance gains, just not as large as here in the US.

Would running 93 octane make the bike run lean if guhls flash is for 89 octane? I ask because took my 15 zx10 to a local dyno. Only showed 146 hp but was running extremely lean. Dyno guy said it running lean is why hp is extremely down.

On your website, the information for your Gen 4 ZX10R ECU flash states the following: 'No fuel table modifications'. Why is this and is there any power being lost due to it?
This is because we tune the fuel with the PCV exclusively on that model - this promotes more user control and additional power.
So if i have a bike that i want to buy a zx10r 2011 that saids ecu flashed by guhl motors its this same?
No. Guhl performs custom flashes to our Brock's Performance specifics as well as their own configurations. The way to know 100% is to contact Guhl with the 4 digit code laser etched on the ECU. They can then tell you exactly what has been done to it.

I got the Guhl flash and thought I had 188 hp. Took my bike to Marietta Motorsports in Georgia and only made 167.1 hp...fuel ratio was way off. after they got the fuel air ratio right it made 176 hp 73.85 tq. mods were pc5 , pipercross air filter 3/4 hindle evolution exhaust. Now I had them deck the head to bring compression up and synchronize the cams, now it makes 185 hp. All dynoed may show variations from one to another. Still I was disappointed in my performance.
None of the components you mention are are sold here at Brock's Performance. While we may work with a couple of those vendors, what we sell and what they sell are not the same. So I got a 2012 zx10r me n my friend was driving n as we drive he opens up just for fun so I open up with him but mine all of a sudden took a minute the boosted off is that from the ECU

The bike simply does not need a higher octane unless you raise compression pass the point of regular octane. It will see very little gains going up to 91-93 octane. Thats is what i have been told.

Why 89 octane...?
If you contact Guhl Motors (where we have all of our ECUs re-flashed) at 717-618-4212 they will have a flash that could work for those bikes.

Not uncommon these days due to regulations. Check out our H2 SX video...over 100 hp missing!
