    Just a quick edit:
    When we discussed the quantities you need to mix, you need to mix 600 grams of Calcium Nitrate.
    Hope this helps!
    If you have any questions, comments or concerns let us know down before and If you have any ideas for future videos, we would love to hear them.

    The ratio NPK/CaNO3/MgSO4 2/2/1
    I read somewhere the ratio is 3/3/1
    Thank you

      It depends on what you're growing as well as the ratio of N-P-K to one another. Normally the ratios of NPK and CaNO3 is calculated so as to hit a target PPM for N. Different crops have different nutrient needs. Here's a really informative factsheet about mixing dry nutrients: e-gro.org/pdf/E305.pdf

    You discussed the quantities of NPK and Epsom salt but forgot to include the quantity of calcium nitrate. How much do you put in with 600g of mix and 300g of mag sulfate?

      Hello!
      600 grams as well. Thank you for pointing that out for us!

    I am living in a country where hydroponic nutrients are almost impossible to find. People who are selling charge over prices which is far more expensive than in USA. What available material is NPK 20 20 20 TE, Epsom salt and calcium nitrate in loose packings. So my question is can you guys make a video how to prepare hydroponic nutrients with this available material. I'll be really thankful to ZipGrow.

    Hey, what plants would you recommend to grow in a very beginner, casual and small hydroponics system? Is Malabar Spinach a good choice? What other plants are similar to it?

    • @ZipGrowInc
      @ZipGrowInc  2 роки тому +1

      Good Day!
      Lettuce, kale, and basil will grow under similar conditions, grow relatively quickly, and are easy to use... a great place to start. We've not yet grown Malabar spinach in our system but it would be worth trying, a great substitute for traditional spinach that you can get multiple harvests from and tolerates a much warmer temperature too.
      Let us know how it grows!

    Thanks for the video. I missed that part of solution B.... what is solution B? Your video shows MgSO4 being mixed with NPK blend as solution A. I suppose solution B is Epsom Salt+water?

      Epsom Salt is MgSO4. I think Nutrient B is Calcium Nitrate

    If I already mixed a small amount of NPK & Epsom salt, but I want to add another amount to it, How can I balance it without making any precipitation ? Can I add Epsom salt directly to this mix then add NPK?

    • @ZipGrowInc
      @ZipGrowInc  Рік тому

      If you would like to add more Epsom salts and NPK into your mixture, it is best to add them one at a time. Allow the Epsom salts to dissolve in the solution before putting in the NPK. If you add both at the same time, they can precipitate on contact because of their higher concentration %.

    how many litres of water is in the big tank?

    • @ZipGrowInc
      @ZipGrowInc  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Moein, Thanks for your question. Our main reservoir is an IBC with a capacity of 1000 L but we have it set to never go over 800L so that if we turn of the main pump the excess water coming back doesn't overflow.

    • @ZipGrowInc
      @ZipGrowInc  Рік тому

      We mostly use it for greens and herbs like lettuce, kale, basil, mint, etc. Fruiting crops such as strawberries and peppers can also be grown with this recipe, but you might need to optimize the temperature to get better results.
