Like Dickens's Bleak House (which I recently uploaded), The Idiot is not a supernatural tale at all - but it is extremely dark in tone, and a story that goes to very dark places... purely as a matter of atmosphere I feel that it deserves a place on this channel. It's also a fantastic drama, with what amounts to an all-star cast.
MYSTERIOUS MAGPIE is a channel devoted to ghost and horror stories on British radio, and to dark tales of every kind. I have another channel, MYSTICAL MAGPIE, which is all about stories of fantasy, mythology, and adventure: / @mysticalmagpie-wo5fn

Thank you. ❤
Wow. So badly adapted. The tone is wrong at every turn!
How so?
@sambordley2380 It even has Tracey Ann Oberman.
@@vestibulate Always a bonus. She did a lot of radio work before her name was widely known - including a version of Day of the Triffids that I've got on the channel.
not a very good adaptation. seems to get it all wrong, espcially myshkin
I love this adaptation as an introduction to The Idiot. It has haunted me and I now must read the book. I'll see where the book takes me. I do like Paul Rhys so that also charmed me. I'm looking forward to exploring more...
For someone it is not for the other it's a treasure. It hits my heart profoundly.
