The accellerator pump. When you removed it, were there rubber o-rings? Do you know what size they are? I did a rebuild and all looks and runs good except gas coming out of the accellerator pump area. Thanks.
Are you still around to answer questions? I can't get my accelerator jets to spray even though I replace the diaphraghm in the pump and sprayed carb cleaner through all the port holes and it works fine in a bowl of gas but on the carb nothing comes up to the top jets. My float tangs were set to level and I readjusted the floats and it runs better but the accelerator still does not work. all the jets and "O" rings are new from a kit I got Saturday. I've had the carb in and out for adjustments 4 times today and will do it a few more times tomorrow until I find out what the floats work best at and gets enough fuel for the accelerator to work. thanks.
I have a 97... is this all the same for a later model? I have hesitation and very poor mileage... I just bought it and it only has 23,000 miles, so there had to be times that it sat unused for long periods. It seems to idle and runs fine when the bike has warmed up, but I'm only getting about 15 mpg.
i did it runs ,,,, no leaks ok power ,,,,i can run it for now tx .... but my black round drums dont open up on full twist and i can tell power is missing,, what happen its 94 only 2 vac out and 2 breathers .
No the hesitaion was in the 88/89 years only Honda did a major refit after that to elimate the problem, Your problem sounds like you have a short in the gear sensor, Clutch lever switch, Side stand switch ect that is killing the power for a split second in between shifts or one or both air solinoid valves to the carbs under the right side front pocket is faulty or the sub filter has disinagrated and has been sucked up into the carbs adding carb cleaner to the gas tank may solve this for you
tx now i know the part i missed ....i was flooding big time ...on one side and otherr no fuel ..bike sat for 3 years ..and now i own it ......am gonna go and takemit apart 3 time and do it your way ,,,,,i had it soeaak at the bike show i hope it didnt melt any rubber by the jets.rest was apart ...tx
ok rubber is good the sshop didnt melt any rubber jets are clear ,,,7, 5 mil on float is good neede great and seat tight ,,,why did i flood i drove 3 miles and 2 galons went thu the carbs ,, and thats after the first rebuilt that i did i had it realy close ,,,
Thanks for the video! Did my 88 1500 to your specs, and your advice for setting the floats is a key step. Runs great :)

I'll try both suggestions and let you know what I come up with. Thanks for the great videos.
What size pilot jet did you install? Was that the main culprit for the hesitation? Thx.
Not enough space in the reply box one more thing did you sync the carbs latley re balance them
Great video. You are very informational. Thank you. This helps.
I don't have hesitaion on my 92 1500, but it backfires between shifts ! Does this sound like a carburater rebuild is neccessary?
Hi amsol in the video discription is a link for all the info you need

Very good video help me a lot ….. Thank you so much.
I can't believe I found this while questioning the throttle beginning "dead spot" wondering if 6 cyl motor just needs split second to rev?

i always fallow you on steve sounders... i admire your knowledge, i would never be able to even think about such a job on my 1500.
