"If you will it, dude, it is no dream!" You two are amazing... getting out there and doing it! Your videos and words are so beautiful. I so appreciate your efforts to put these together and bring us along. I'm ready to come back...
True words! Thank you Nate!! If anyone knows how to get out there and do the damn thing, it's you! People like you keep us going. Stoked to see you out here again soon!
You are quite right, Allison; it is not that hard. Yes, there are difficulties, but taken one at a time they are not that hard. Yes you have take precautions before you set out, but those precautions stand you in good stead when difficulties arise. The reward is some of the most beautiful scenery that the world has to offer. In Australia we have lots of desert, which will kill you if the necessary precautions are not taken. Taken with precautions it can be quite beautiful.
Overwhelming at first for sure, we’ll give ourselves a million reasons to ‘not do’ something. We rarely realize how capable we really are! Just a series of little steps. The reward is getting to experience the most beautiful places in the world in the most intimate way. Thanks so much for writing, we love hearing from folks on the other end. Cheers!
I usually comment the day the video releases but we have been preparing for our own little adventure not anything like yours but camping in Arkansas in the fall season is really quite beautiful and our favorite thing to do. I love reflection and the appreciation of God‘s creation around us I’m so glad to see you guys enjoying and appreciating
@@AllisonandJamesSailing we are chasing Autumns rich colors, amazing sunsets and sunrises, the Harvest Moon, and a little TLC for the aches and pains of folks my age, at the soothing mineral baths of Hot Springs Arkansas
What you have accomplished in a couple of years is amazing. Everyone has dreams but few chase after them especially if it’s way outside of the norm. You two are amazing. Look at what you have accomplished. Nature wants everything in balance and that’s true for life too. The more risks you take the bigger the reward. And all that beauty will come with some challenges. Loved this heartfelt episode.
Simply spectactular! What an amazing part of the world to explore. But most of all I liked your conversation about getting to where you are today. From streaming UA-cam, to taking steps to get out in the world. A life decision. Makes me think it is possible and what steps do I need to take to get out and experience the world.
That's awesome mate! Achieving your dreams is totally possible! It doesn't happen overnight but many small steps will get you there before you know it! ;)
Thanks Caroline! Cooking on the camp stove is pretty rustic. We're looking forward to doing some galley (boat kitchen) upgrades soon! But we certainly enjoy cooking in this tiny kitchen with views like this!
I'm doing exactly what she had mentioned. I'm in my bed bing watching sailboat videos. And I'm at the point I wanna sell off my things, buy a sailboat I've been looking to, a 25' and it's exciting, and scary to think about. But I so wanna do this, and sail the west coast of BC. I'm presently in NS east coast.
The mountain you feature in several shots, we know it has an official name, but when we were navigating to Prideaux Haven, as ignorant Americans, we called it "shark tooth mountain". :) And yes, we have had to use our dinghy to row our boat when the engine overheated. You're not alone, and your are doing fine. Just don't give up. we sail the same waters. Highly recommend Heriot Bay Inn on Quadra. Tell Tracy, Juanita and Deb that the crew of s/v Thalia say "hello"! What drone do you use? Ours cannot get the altitude that yours does.
Haha it does have a Shark Tooth look to it.. I believe it’s called Mt Denman? Thanks for validating our row tow tow your boat experience! And thanks for the encouragement & the Quadra recommendation. Will be sure to check it out and say hello next time we are around! Currently up in the Broughtons, have you sailed that area as well?
We didn’t name the boat, but previous owners (whom we’ve never met) were from the US, somewhere in Utah, and our understanding is that ‘Uintah’ is an indigenous word. When we try to look up the meaning, what we find is Uintah valley, or mountain range or that Uinta is derived from the Ute word Yoov-we-teuh, which means pine tree or pine forest? All of that is to say we’re not entirely sure what it means exactly, but to someone or (some folks) it seems to represent a ‘connection to land’ which we can certainly appreciate :)
That was a sick episode

Also liked the variety of videos, from way up to underwater. Phenomenal!
Thank you! Planning to get our dive tickets soon so that we can really capture the underwater beauty!✨
Great video, thank you.
Thank you Jeff!!
My man’s doing something right! She was rowing you with a smile in her face! Great videos!
She’s been trying to ditch me for a long time! Managed to get a rope on the dinghy tho 😂

It really doesn’t take much to move a sailboat. Good job with the rowing Ally ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Remember that time I joined a rowing club? Glad about it now 🤣

My new favourite sailing channel. Thank You guys!
Whoa!! Thank you David!!!🤍
You guys always overcome obstacles and come out the other side of things into magnificance! Beautiful scenery, made me want to go for a swim as well!!
Thank you Colleen!!! Overcoming the obstacles is pretty difficult sometimes, but the tough times make the good times great! :)

Awh, so relatable! I remember sitting in my bed on the east coast doing the same thing. You’ll get there! Small steps everyday✨
You guys are great , thanks for sharing. Maybe see you out there sometime 😉
Awe thank you! Hope to catch you out there, cheers!
I once had to tow my 23 ft with my Walmart inflatable!!! Loads of fun LOL
LOL what a day that musta have been!! That’s awesome. Cheers to makin it work with whatever you’ve got 🍻
Amazing video! Such beautiful mountain and sunset shots ❤
Those mountain sunsets are truly spectacular! Thank you Caroline!! You're awesome :)
Nice Catalina 30! Looks like an amazing trip!
Thanks mate! She's a piece of classic plastic! Amazing trip. Looking forward to heading further North for more secluded anchorages.
Y’all rock!
Awh, thank you! Glad you're enjoying our first season!
My wife an I are gonna head up there on our Catalina 36 this summer! Maybe we'll see you there
That's awesome! Desolation Sound is really nice. We'll be much further North, but hope to run into you out here one day, cheers!
Great filming
Thanks Philip!!!
I had to pull my Islander 30 the same way in the Powell River south harbour. In my 7ft tender. Slow and steady.
Slow and steady sure does do it! We've also been towed into the south harbour in Powell River, popular spot to break down, glad you made it in safely!

The drone footage in this vid was shot using a Mavic Mini. Great little first-timer fly cam. But we’ve since upgraded to a Air2S and it’s awesome :)
I have just noticed your boat’s name. Does ‘Nuintah’ have a particular meaning?
