It IS some of the best cruising in the world. I grew up in Seattle, spent my first 38yrs there sailing, but for pure visual scenari, the smells, the tastes, the sweet cool breeze, it's incredibly hard to beat. I can still smell the Firs and Cedars cooking off in the sun, the salty air on my lips, the cool breeze in my face, it's intoxicating.
Over the years we have cruised to most of these places. Some very special memories up there. If you get the urge to go a bit farther north check out the Octopus Islands area. Cheers! (My memory is that there is a tidal waterfall between the Octopus Islands and Owen bay to the north. Watch your tide!)
I agree, this is the best video you have every produced. Music, scenery and all. Wonderful music. Perhaps you missed your calling as a movie director versus master carpenter/Cabinet maker. Thank You so much!
Having watched Chernobyl with my two boys tonight, I apologise: which is what the start of this episode seemed like. Have no fear,. we wish you well and also truly love the off-build stuff just as much.
What a great video! That is a dream cruz and so beautiful. I appreciate your effort. It was a little bittersweet to see Geordie but so glad you included him.
It is really spectacular! Living in SE Alaska I'm sometimes envious of the little luxuries you have in BC but otherwise I prefer the more actual isolation of the rugged SE Alaskan panhandle and the relative lack of crowding. It has to be said though that the preponderance of Charter boats do introduce an element of rivalry and even unfriendliness compared to the easy going nature of all other boatpeople as evidenced in your videos. Great video and an amazing amount of work thanks Mr Peter!
I left the PNW in 2018 and moved to Mexico. I do love the 320 days of clear blue sky every year here...but your vids have me nostalgic over PNW summer cruising. Cheers.
Cruising Desolation Sound is definitely on my bucket list of things to do the moment I get a boat. Absolutely gorgeous. I like your cruising route a lot. Good mix what seems to quiet and popular anchorage spots. Cheers, T
Not only Canadians but Australians too would also remember Beachcombers (it aired the ABC- the national broadcaster here). And, as with Canadians they’d have to be over 50 as well - it was a long time ago!
Perhaps one of the best videos you've produced. Fantastic music. Edited with great forethought and obvious planning. You and your significant other, are amazing people. You both have a private dignity, youngsters would not understand. Because they don't have your maturity or a time-line of goals either gained or lost. Anyway - stay well. Blue skies and gentle winds. Thank you for sharing.
I do like the awning on your boat, but suggest a slight a slight re-design when you next replace the canvas cover. Remove the port to starboard ribs of the awning and run them foreword to aft. It would flow with the lines of the boat and look awesome. Keep the camber in the port to starboard ribs at each end. It would be awesome to see. Regardless, I do love what you have done with your boat.
How can we ever forget the BeachCombers eh! I remember it very, very, well. That's what we grew up on, back in the late seventies and eighties even into the early early nineties. Peter, Your living a great life as your capturing such beautiful scenery.
What a wonderful compilation of your summer cruise footage over the years. Accompanied by some very gorgeous steel and slide guitar. A cruise like this is definitely on my bucket list. Have to find a boat and a female companion first. That’s in the works but the boat will come after she is here.
Absolutely stunning, love the way you put it all in one film, I'd love to see more of these. Cruising the cut used to make moving wallpaper films with ambient noise when he was still boating.❤
Truly Epic edit! Worthy of 100k + was my thought I would need to mine out the episodes for a list then lo you do it. Ferro-cement WW2 merchant fleet wouldn’t sink so easy so they towed out to sea and still underestimated the explosives required. Navy got tired of doing target practice on them. Have to be on my list, have not seen a hulk since childhood.
Hi Peter, great channel. BTW, Beachcombers was played in Australia for years with a few runs. I would love to see those boats and cruise that area. That show was educational as my dad was a "Piner" (Huon Pine logger) in the Franklin/Gordon/Spero Rivers in Tasmania in the 1930's towing logs with rowing punts. My father loved the scenery in the TV show promting him to share his stories with us.
You should get a fee from the tourist board for that. I can't think of what would be more enticing. Poem must have a viable future with the potential for such splendor. Nice music too.
Nice video and footage! Really interesting to see a tour of BC waters. Quite different to Stockholm Archipelago wich I'm cruicing. Different geology, with BCs high mountains an gravely beaches and rocks, compared to the low profile of Sthlm Archiplelagos ice age polished granite cliffs. I suppose the waters are qiute shelterd by the high shores and mountains surrounding. Beautiful!
Greetings from Great Island, Maine! Just a great ,feel good and informative series! Thank. you for sharing all of this with us. Engines, beer, natural places, detailed geography= perfect! A quick question: what is your cruising speed and what kind of fuel economy are you getting in either liters or gallons per hour? Is the Beta holding up pretty well? Best to you all!
One item I don’t recall you ever mentioning…when the heck you gonna get yerself a transom door!? I can’t help shuddering a bit every time I see you out in open water with that big hole in the bass end of your boat.
👁️👁️👁️….I noticed logs at the one place you were at…I assume there from logging operations…Can you take them if you wanted them ???….Just wondering…I reside in Florida but would love to see all those places….Great video….👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️
@@b.b.grenade1407 Washington, Oregon, California, Mexico I have lost count of disappearing off Mexico to California this year alone (sailing) I am not against the design just fully aware of its limitations. Watch of mv Bernadine at the moment getting a ride in ‘sheltered’ cove atm.
Hi Peter, wrote you a message to your email adress hopefully you’ll like the item(s), let me know would love to contribute in way possible for me. Best rgds
It's just water, rocks and trees. Why does it make my heart ache so? Lovely episode and very nice to see a cameo of Geordie. Love it man.
Just beautiful!
Gosh, it was really worth it! Thanks.
So beautiful. Could see how much you could like it👀
Cruising Desolation Sound, definitely worth it!!
I loved the Beach Comers! Growing up in Northeast Maine, we had the show as well!

Beautiful country and fabulous tunes!!!!
I'm feeling the urge to buy a boat and get over there myself, oh boy
Wow, wow, wow, love it, love it, love it, thank you, thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Thank you

Spectacular! Good times
This is certainly the BEST video you have created thus far in the channel. Great camera work, music, editing and dialog. Keep up the great work!
Nicely ironed shirt for the intro, too!
Thanks Peter for putting this video together you have the soul of a film maker with a dash of carpenter.
If it is already beautiful on screen I imagine having the smell of the water and the pine
It was so nice to see a little bit of Geordie hiking through the woods. Beautiful.
Excellent video all around! Really helps with the orientation of where you cruise. Envious!
Great entertainment Peter, absolutely fantastic scenery.

What a truly beautiful part of the world! I hope to visit some day. Fantastic video Peter!
Beautiful!! Nice to see more travels, and less work for you.
Really enjoyed seeing the Pups again.

I never saw it to my recollection, interested now. Was it good? What should I watch?

This video is a work of art.

Excellent Beer of The Week spot. 🍻
absolutely the best video of your time aboard and the scenery stunning moor please

Happy, Sad, Happy. Lovely to see Geordie :)
He’s with you all the time sharing your adventures :)
Wonderful video ❤️
Another great video Peter! Wow, it's getting better by the week. Woderfull soundtrack and fantastic filming!
Loved Beachcombers as a kid in Australia!
Thanks for that tour!
I can't express what Iam feeling.
Even though I have been to all these places and some multiple times it never gets old watching someone else’s adventures to this magical place.
So majestic ❤
It is soo beautiful 😍😍😍and the weather too☀️😎
The beautiful scenery is breath taking.
Back in the 80s I flew my model P51 that high once, and then it just flew away into space and I never saw it again ;)
WOW!!! Great episode.
Peter based on this video I’m planning my next trip now!
Incredible video! Loved everything about. ❤
Thanks for allowing others to live vicariously through you.

I so enjoyed your video, it is by far one of the best , well done
Thanks so much!
Nice cinematography, it reminds me of the Buckminster Fuller theatre they had there ❤
Hi Pete, I love the way that you motor quietly and gently, so no fish are disturbed by your passing.
Seriously ?????? That is what you got out of this. You need help
Is there a history behind the name "Smugglers Cove"? As always, wondeful footage.
Great video, but somehow I really also miss those tattered jeans while viewing the great woodworking skills. Got myself a pair as well
Sacred!
An amazing area to tour. How cold is the water there?
Loved seeing Geordie. Well done video, hope to get there some day
thanks for taking us along, love it love it loveit!
on average how much fuel is used per hour of motoring?

Is there any bear activity on these islands you visit - it looks to be ideal for them.
Hi Peter, Just wondering how deep are some of those locations ?

Some, I don’t know the rules though. One hobby mill up North I follow catches some. Makes for character slabs.
Not my cup of tea... I rather see you work :-) Wishing you a great holiday, you sure deserved it!
Did you ever bump into Arthur Huff he had a wooden boat called Sabi? Looks very much like yours. He looked like Fidel Castro. 😂
I don't believe I have.
I would prefer people didn't know about our little part of heaven!
What is the water temperature ?
70-74 is what we found or 20-22
Peter, are you a Caulfeild Elementary School graduate? (71/72)
Why not a nice cruse to Mexico?
Danger Will Robinson, gentleman’s inshore cruiser offshore passage is not recommended!
@@braithmiller it would do just fine in close to shore up to a quarter mile out. Don't underestimate the design of the boat.
