The skydrifter is based off a archaeopteryx,plowhorn and grimhorn are a pentaceratops, longleg is a terror bird, redeye watcher small raptors, while the clawstrider are bigger ones, sunwings are quetzalcoatlus, rollerbacks are a mix of ankylosaurus and pangolin

I love when games have different biomes with different creatures residing in them, especially aquatic habitats as they are my favourites. Such as snapmaws or tiderippers or slaughterspine.
Oh God tbh the skydrifters have me trouble at first 😂😂 i didn't know how to truly deal with them effectively and died a few times to a group of them on my first encounter XD
Man, while these machines are deadly 😅, they are incredible 🤩. Imagine if the Dark Souls hiden boss song started playing when Tremortusk, Stormbird, Thunderjaw, Slitherfang, Shellsnapper or Slaughterspine attacks 🤔
The machine i had the hardest times with are the Clamberjaws, Fireclaw, and Thunderjaw. A duo of ravagers with the behemoth gave me a little problems but the first three were the worst
I feel like I physically CANNOT pick a favourite. The machines are all just far too awesome (both design-wise and concept-wise) for me to choose one to be my 'main'.
A possible reason for so many variations of the surface mining job in the machines, I think, could for differences in terrain such as rocky ground or grassy ground. The machine would also be designed to traverse and mine on these terrains.
@KriticalKris Well that makes sense corruptors are literally built for war and metal devils are getting huge but they wouldn't be very effective in the game these things over heat like hell so if you're fighting in a place that doesn't have a big Open water source your metal devils are pretty much useless

I think it's based on old Egyptian dogs that were also lynx-like, like depictions of Anubis. The sounds are more canine imo. It would make more sense for there to be a more silent, stealth and frost based machine a bit smaller than a scorcher but more physical than a stalker. We better see em in the next one 👀

I think the clawstrider is more like a utah raptor. Cuz its huge and has feathers. Jurassic parks raptors were volocci raptors. And those from jp are fake. The real life veloci raptor was about the size of a turkey
When the book the movie was based on was written, Velociraptor referred to that whole category of dinosaurs, not just one species. I don’t know why the term changed, but it did.

Me (a monster hunter fan) seeing specter prime. Boy that is as easy as fighting a barroth. (I say this since even the easiest thing in monster hunter world will take with your first fight about 15 minutes) Some battles are even 45 minutes 0-0

Longleg is an emu/ostrich, sunwings are pterodactyls (dont know where you got quetzalcoatlus from), and Rollerbacks are just ankylosaurus.
