Before I was gasping for air just after 50m . I am yet to master your technique, but today i was able to swim 1km just after following your training videos for 2 months. I think hip rotation , less kicking and smooth hand entry are the key factors.. Thank you.

The direction is correct, but the amount of work done is still small to achieve the result. You need to practice sliding, stop between strokes. Swim in jerks, with excessive vertical vibrations. Lack of flexibility.

In my opinion ,The important thing is to initiate rotation starting from the leg then hip ,shoulder and lastly the head..

Another problem or potential problem with flat hips is lower back problems. This is the way I used to swim. My lower back and chest twisted when stoking the water but my hips were flat causing back pain. With the hips and back rotating as one this doesn’t happen and the hips also provide the power in the arm stroke.

This is really helpful. I broke my humerus two months ago and looking at more rotation when I’m cleared to swim in a few months.

My suggestion, before you start teaching someone, learn to swim "lightly"

This is very helpful. I have noticed an improvement with rotation, but it's good to know why.

I could never understand what was meant by 'swimming downhill'. Watching this and listening to your commentary, it suddenly dawned on me. It seems the 40 / 45 degree leading arm moving through the water acts something like a submarine bow plane and has a see-saw action to keep the chest lower and lift the hips.

Hola, consulta, patea con cada brazada del mismo lado?, es decir patada izquierda con brazada izquierda y patada derecha con brazada derecha?, no pareciera que lo haga cruzado...
