Could this trip of possibly been a world record? Most parks visited or most rides ridden in a month? Not sure if you know about any records like that Shawn? You guys deserve alot of credit for this trip in all seriousness though. So much driving and all that adrenaline pumping though your body daily must of been so exhausting. A real feat of endurance. Thank you for the series Shawn and alex and any other guests that made it along the way👏👏👏
I’ve loved every single vlog of this trip! You guys really inspire me to make these trips myself when I can afford to. I feel for Alex with the hair loss, as someone two years younger than him I can see myself being the exact same by the time I’m 22!
Awwwww almost the last of these USA road trip videos. What a great series of Vlogs this has been. Thank you Shawn and Alex for sharing your journey with us and entertaining us all ❤
Hi shawn and Alex you are nearly at the end of the road it's been a blast. You both are looking tired now and I admire you so much. You still have enthusiasm and laughter in this vlog fantastic well done👏💟 I feel so proud of you both xxxxxx
My most anticipated vlog when you announced the trip as it's the only park I've been to on your trip, didn't let me down and you described the park exactly as I would
One reason Goliath (Deja Vu) was sent to New England is because SFNE has one of the best maintenance teams in the chain, but it's still not enough to keep Goliath up more than down
Honestly, the Vekoma Giant Inverted Boomerang is not that bad. I rode it 3 times this summer and all my rides were comfortable, smooth and intense! I don't know why a lot of people don't like this ride?! Every time I go eat at JB's I pop on this thing before eating because ITS A GREAT RIDE! 🙂
When I was young, we got our milk fresh from the farm. We didn't milk the cows, they had a store out front. That was good milk, especially the chocolate! I only bring this up because I don't have a lot to say about this video. It's all a bit of a blur, at this point, I'm sure Alex would agree. Just checking off rides. And for the record, I suggested Alex wear a wig not that long ago. Braids!
Great vlog! I grew up at this park and got my first job here, so it makes me happy to hear you guys had a great visit. The most unfortunate part about Goliath is that when it ran with the old Vekoma trains, it was actually very smooth and up there as one of the best coasters in the park. The new trains were promised to make the ride even smoother and more reliable, and ever since they have done the exact opposite. If Alex ever finds a GIB running with the original trains, I'd encourage him to give it a chance.
Fun Fact: Catwoman's Whip was rethemed to its current state in 2007. That statue of Catwoman standing on the dome originally sat atop a Mondial Shake ride of the same name at Six Flags New Orleans before its untimely closure.
I like the Boomerang tbh, always thought the Inverted one looked cool & sounds like it should. What I've learned from your channel is that train design is key. It can make or break a ride.
Yay you guys went to my home park!! I live an hour from there! It’s funny how Goliath is right next to Flashback!!!! I’ve never been on Wicked Cyclone and Flashback but I’ve been on Pandemonium and it’s incredible!
Hey you guys were in my neck of the woods or I should say woods of my youth. Before it was Six Flags it was Riverside Park of Agawam, Mass. I went there in the 60s and 70s . From looking at the park with the main road to your back . Every thing to the far right was the parking lot. Next to the Thunderbolt was a kids park with building that looked like Europe/ Wizard of OZ LIKE. They also had the cable cars in the air. . Glad you had a great time and thanks for bring back some memory . They also had racing there.
Glad you liked the park! I hear that all the other giant inverted boomerangs are actually good rides (especially the one at silver wood) since they have good trains and are better taken care of
Shawn, If you had traveled to California for your mega trip in 2011 instead of 2015 and visited Magic Mountain as you did you could've ridden the same Giant Inverted Boomerang on both coasts. On October 16, 2011, Déjà Vu operated for the final time at Magic Mountain and was relocated to New England and branded Goliath.
The only Six Flags parks you have left to visit are La Ronde, Six Flags Darien Lake, Six Flags Great America (which has the original B&M invert), Six Flags America (which has the original B&M, though it used to be at Six Flags Great America), Six Flags Mexico, and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Same for Alex as well as Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The green pole is from the old park Riverside Park that used to be there until Six Flags bought it. The green Pole is what held of the Monorail that used to go throughout the park.
Like i have said before... Rode Superman back in 2003 like 5 times, it was the best coaster ever. Even to this day, after 5 RMC's , El Toro and other high ranked coasters, still this was superior with the t-bars. Shame you missed on that
Been a great few days binging these vlogs and watching this one from my home park. I love wicked cyclone and although small, it great to have a nice modern rmc at our little park that gets overlooked for coasters due to its lack of space. Six flags may not be the best as far as operations but its worth the aggravation for good coasters. Only cedar fair park ive been to is cedar point and i felt that it wasnt all that much better. Glad you guys killed your strata trip and i look forward to following your channel. Cheers
The 12 rollercoasters they rode in order. 1. Twisted Cyclone 2. Superman The Ride 3. Thunderbolt 4. Goliath 5. Flashback 6. Pandemonium 7. The Great Chase 8. The Joker 9. Batman: The Dark Knight 10. The Riddler’s Revenge 11. Catwoman’s Whip 12. Gotham City Gauntlet: Escape from Arkham Asylum It still puzzles me how you guys didn’t get to go on Six Flags Great America (it’s in Illinois) and it makes me sad that you two missed out on a great Six Flags park. It’s said to be the second best Six Flags park in the chain just behind Six Flags Magic Mountain. Hope you and Alex go there someday.
First off, I absolutely love how brutally honest you are about how you're feeling about your experiences, and definitely keep doing them. I don't know how I feel about your locker comments however. Ya'll complain about them a lot but I don't believe you needed to spend so much ($150) on them. I see the lockers at the Six Flags parks but usually there are bins even if they have lockers at the front. No lockers were needed at SFFT or SFOT when I went, SFMM only requires lockers on X2, and SFDK only requires lockers (not for hats, glasses, or bottles) on Superman if I remember right. I can't imagine that many rides at Six Flags not letting you bring bags into the lines. Love your trip, I just kind of feel like your smearing Six Flags unnessesarily by not revealing the fact there are bins on most of your locker complaint rides.
We had to use lockets at most of the parks sadly, all of them (except for Hersheypark) were paid! There was no option to take our bags onto the bins on the ride unfortunately!
First off, man I'm so sorry you two go so sick during the trip. The Vekoma GIB is one of my absolute favorite designs but there is only one that rides like it should and that's Aftershock at Silverwood. Unfortunately that beautiful park is all the way in Northern Idaho so very few ride it. I can't believe what Six Flags did to Goliath, what a mess! Luckily I can pass on it cause I have that cred when it was Deja Vu at Magic Mountain.
Legit I got stuck on Superman’s lift for an hour last Tuesday and got free fast passes but this is a great park and I hope you love it as much as I did
Shawn you were mistaking about the giant inverted boomerang. It didn't have trains with two seats facing forwards and two backwards. Those were the vekoma invertigos. The GIB were always designed to have 4 row seats. The only difference is that goliath has trains build by premier and not vekoma themselves. You can find the original trains on Stunt Fall at Parque Warner Madrid.
I'm thinking you jeep someone who appreciates all flats and coasters with you on these trips...I'd be honored to join you lol...I just feel like Alex don't ride alot of flats and Charlotte doesn't like the intense spinning ones understandably...but I will ride anything and everything with you lol!! My favorite flat ever made is the Zipper. Great ride but only at carnivals
I rode that giant inverted boomerang when it was deja vu at Magic Mountain and it gave me a splitting headache! The area where it used to stand stood vacant until now where they're building West Coast Racers and a new themed area called The Underground.
Can’t wait to see your opinion on the Coney Island cyclone tomorrow, I rode it for the first time last year and was shocked at how good it was for such an old coaster
I believe the Giant Inverted Boomerang has always operated with forward facing seats. When we rode it opening year as Déjà Vu, however, it had a V shaped seating configuration similar to some B&M hypers like Diamondback. Anyway, I've been enjoying the vlogs. I've watched each one in chronological order. Just a couple more to go!
I never thought I'd complain about a TPW vlog being too short, but this one was too short! LOL You missed a 400ft Star Flyer and a decent gyro swing too!

This is the park I grew up going to thirty years ago. It's very different now. Agree with you about the restraints on Superman. They felt like they were trying to bend my legs the wrong way. Absurdly uncomfortable. The fact that it's still a great ride just shows how good it is. Also, yes, that's the Connecticut River. Everything must be blending together for you.
Yep. I remember when it was Riverside! The restraints on Superman got changed cuz some idiot ride op let a very obese, very disabled man on... And he fell out in the spaghetti bowl section of the ride..... So like most things, it was ruined for everyone cuz of one dipshit
Antwan Dionte' yea even though it wasn’t as rough as a standard Vekoma Boomerang. It’s still was uncomfortable to me. Plus waiting in that line during the summer with the bad operations and low through put was a nightmare. That entire side of the park with Deja Vu and Psyclone there was my least favorite part. I’m glad they’re both gone lol
Brian California With a boomerang coaster, you cant really expect a high throughput since it can only run one train. Thats one of the things you just have to accept. And the slow operations mainly came from people not listening and pulling down the restraints too early. I never really found the restraints uncomfortable but im skinny so I cant speak for those that are larger than me.
So about goliath, at 20:40 you said it was suppose to be 2 seats front and 2 seat backwards, that is a different model to this. although yes, they did actually still modify the trains on these. it used to be 4 across, now they made them staggered 2 ahead 2 on the back side on one car.
YES MY HOME PARK, just started watching on your trip through the US. Great content, you inspire me to get out there and visit more parks. I'm surprised you liked Superman so much. It used to be so much better, Six flags needs to take care of it. big boy is making some funny noises. What is your favorite park in Europe?
The number 1 thing i've learnt from watching this US road trip is that I can storm past loads of Americans in the queue while they all stand still for their national anthem. 😉
I think the best coasters in the park are Wicked Cyclone and Superman. I also like the Vekoma SLC here, but I'm a masochist lol. I wouldn't recommend the inverted boomerang, the sit-down is much better. And I've ridden way too many B&M floorless coasters to truley appreciate the one here.
imo infusion is one of the worst and best vekoma slc’s. best because it’s over water and the night ride is beautiful, but it’s awful because when i last went, it had the old restraints and it was the most horrible rattling coaster
The Giant Inverted Boomerangs never had forward/backwards facing seats, they were always all forward facing but in a V shape similar to Shambhala/Diamondback/Behemoth/Intimidator. It's a shame the new trains are so rough though, the old school GIB trains still track really well!
It's Sunday, Shannan is at the hospital covering one of her surgeons on vacation and I'm living vicariously through you my friend. I am curious, have you ever encountered a SLC you actually enjoyed?
Hi Shawn, do you reckon youll ever reach 2000 coasters? Almost finished these road trip vlogs now sadly :( keeping me entertained over the last week or so!
Deja Vu didn’t have backwards seats, they were just staggered so two were slightly ahead of the two on the edge, but all faced forwards. Those new trains by Premier ruined it

The Giant Inverted Boomerangs never had forward/backwards facing seats, they were always all forward facing but in a V shape similar to Shambhala/Diamondback/Behemoth/Intimidator. It's a shame the new trains are so rough though, the old school GIB trains still track really well!
I realised this afterwards!
It's Sunday, Shannan is at the hospital covering one of her surgeons on vacation and I'm living vicariously through you my friend. I am curious, have you ever encountered a SLC you actually enjoyed?
Thanks for watching! There’s not many out there that I enjoy!
Hi Shawn, do you reckon youll ever reach 2000 coasters? Almost finished these road trip vlogs now sadly :( keeping me entertained over the last week or so!
Maybe so at some point!
i saw you at okewood theme park and i took a pic i just fin editing my vlog from the park but its cool that my dream came true on sataday
I would donate. Not cause Alex need it but to see his face if he gets it 😂
Great vlog...as always
I'll happily pay a £1 for Alex to have a fitted wig done! 😆
The longer Alex's beard has got the happier you've both become! Alex needs to grow it to the floor and then fold it up onto his head. No wig needed!
you should do a top tier list from the whole trip luke your fav top 10 from this trip or something
Very nice video. Thanks for posting and have a nice day too.
Deja Vu didn’t have backwards seats, they were just staggered so two were slightly ahead of the two on the edge, but all faced forwards. Those new trains by Premier ruined it
I realised this afterwards!
