My favourite thing about these road trip videos is the “we’re really tired” before “let’s find some chicken tenders” and Alex demolishing a whole pizza 😂 Admire the dedication of pushing through this trip while your body is probably running entirely on deep fried chicken and RMC hype
Another fantastic looking park. Thank you for covering so much and putting out these really detailed vlogs. I don’t know where you get your energy from Shawn, especially living off a diet of chicken tenders and fries! Watching these road trip vlogs has opened my eyes to so many fantastic looking places. I will definitely be planning some middle America trips to take in parks and learn about the cities and states along the way.
Dude ate an entire cheese pizza and then complained about having a stomach ache? 😐 And what’s up with his milk obsession? Anyhow, love the vlogs. Glad you guys had a great visit to the US.
aww haha i liked what alex said, "thousands of people coming at me as if a shark come out of the water"!! omg that was funny, i had to replay that a few times!!
This channel is one of the most entertaining on UA-cam. It's just a guy and some friends that review theme parks, but they find a way to be entertaining, and that's pretty cool.
Me & my partner saw Alex at Alton Towers last week & he was so polite & lovely to meet and gave us so much of his time. Please can u pass on our love and support to him, the internet is a cruel place sometimes. We miss his adventures with u and Charlotte on the blogs, he is ur Dec to ur ant lol
Its alwats good to see you get locals etc to go with you to make the park wasier to get round as some parks your 1st trip to. Thanks for sharing. The bear has got it covered.
We're always very honest on our channel and like to share our genuine opinion. Overall Hersheypark was excellent and we had one of the best days of the trip there!
WOW!!! You Have Brought Back Sooooo Many Childhood Memories Through These Vlogs!! We Stopped There During One Summer Trip.... Didn't Get A Chance To Go Into Hershey Park, But I Got To Ride The Factory Tour...I Loved It!! 😎 I Really Appreciate You Guys Visiting These Places.... Bringing Back My Childhood 😁 Thanks So Much!!
Oh Shawn we visited Hersheys Chocolate World ride in 1988 on our honeymoon, no we didn't go there for are honeymoon, but visited it whilst on a coach tour of the eastern states. I think we were going from Harrisburg PA to I cant remember where, but chocolate world looks just the same with the smell of the chocolate. We didn't visit the theme park, but like shawn we do not think much of Hershey chocolate would rather have cadburys! Jim and Sue
Those monorail trains look awfully familiar. They brought back a lot of good memories because they used to be at Magic Mountain and now Magic Mountain have no monorail, but some of the abandoned tracks still exist in some areas of the park. That track looks exactly the same. It's a shame though because as big and as hot as Magic Mountain gets they really need a transport system.
Great vid. Everybody say stormrunner is short...but forget about rides like stealth...red force etc. For a intamin accelerator it is not short. I mean if one can use the same reasoning...than top thrill dragster could have been waaaay better if it had 1 or 2 more air time hills and a hellix ..
My husband calls Storm Runner “half a coaster” Just when you’re enjoying it, it ends quickly LOL! This is our Home Park and we absolutely loved seeing your reactions! We’re also not big fans of Skyrush nor Wildcat (I do appreciate its history,) but our favorites there are Great Bear, Storm Runner, Comet, Racers and Super Dooper Looper. Amazing video! Can’t wait to see all the other reactions to the other parks we have also been to! Especially Kneobals and Busch Gardens.
My dad lost his glasses on that wild mouse because someone suggested he put them in his pocket to be "safer." They actually let us down there to find them and we did, but he always wears his glasses on rides now instead of pocketing them lol.
I mean I think his point was that it as a specific coaster type is better with inversions, and especially since he went on flying aces (and baco I guess) first I imagine SkyRush not having any inversion it’d feel like it was missing something or lacking that same intensity.
I do prefer airtime over inversions, but that still didn't make Skyrush one of my favourites. This ride type benefits from inversions in my opinion, however I still enjoyed it and it did warm up later on in the day!
As a Hershey coaster operater, this park is amazing, and so fun to work at, it’s got the best b and m invert, skyrush, candymonium, stormy, cats revenge, farenhight, and the park entrance looks so much different than it does today, im 17 now so I was 13 or 14 when they had the old entrance, dam, it’s making me feel old even tho I’m now
this is what i do, after you ride the coaster i will find a pov of that ride, lol its so much fun, i cant ride on any rides any more since i threw my back out
Hershey used to have a rapids which they took out to expand the water park. It was unique for me as it had the first large scale dryer as you came off the ride. The blowers were awesome and got you dry fast since the rapids were a complete soak. The other reason they had the dryer was the unique water coaster. That was a riot of a ride. I am glad that I got to ride it before it was removed.
You guys are a big inspiration to me and make me want to go to a lot more theme parks to visit like always wants to go to the UK and visit a lot of musement parks there so you guys are so much of an inspiration to me and it's just a blessing theme park worldwide you guys are the best I love how you got to do your videos and how you structure them one day hope to be like you guys
Nice park!! Never been, will definitely take the family there in the near future, 6 and a half hour drive for me, not too bad. Oh, and Alex's face on the start of the chocolate tour...priceless!! 😂😂
My number 1 park. Just love this place. I actually have Skyrush and The Voyage ranked as my number 1 coasters. I live near Detroit which is 8 hours from Hersheypark and would rather go here than to Cedar Point which is only 2 hours away. As far as Skyrush goes, I was there in July. We got in for the last 90 minutes of one night and marathoned Skyrush for an hour. I got in the hour early the next morning and rode it for 75 minutes straight. Then, for the last hour of the 2nd night, I marathoned it again. It's definitely a "hold on for dear life" ride. I have only ridden close to 300 coasters, all in North America, so, I apparently need to travel abroad if there are coasters much better. As far as Great Bear goes, it really needed 1 or 2 more inversions at the end. It just dies off too much. Love the helix at the top and the fact that there is no dreaded cobra roll, though. Anyways, awesome park. I always thought it was just a family park with weak rides until I visited for the first time in 2016. Boy, was I surprised.
I just viewed Coaster Studios Taylor's Holiday World Vlog :Holiwood Nights 2020 Day 1, Bret was there with them, looks like they're having an awesome time.
Did you notice the street lamps in Hershey? They are shaped like Hershey Kisses (some with wrappers, some without). I remember going to Hershey Park as a little kid (the park is about 100 miles from where I grew up) and being fascinated by those street lamps. You can see the street lamps from the monorail. Also, the monorail used to stop at the actual chocolate factory. Originally you could tour the actual factory. But they stopped doing that years and years ago due to corporate espionage and they opened Chocolate World.
Hershey Park is a gem! I truly admire how they have maintained its classic charm, while updating the grounds with new attractions. The new area is going to be spectacular! I can't wait to see how they continue to expand this beautiful park. Great Bear is my favorite ride there. Sky Rush is also great. My favorite aspect of Hershey, regarding its roller coasters, specifically their wooden coasters, is their usage of the classic-style chaser lights. THAT is what makes a trip to a theme/amusment park memorable...how the park takes on new identity at night!! Great vlog!! Keep them coming!
Great Vlog, just a reminder for Cadbury lovers in chocolate world they have small dedicated section to Cadbury. Most of the good stuff is there and it was fun trying familiar yet slightly alternative versions of Cadbury goodness.
Hershey's my favorite park to go to, in fact I go there twice a year once for summer and the other for Christmas Candylane which is amazing, the whole park covered with lights and decorations, plus a light show timed to music over the creek near SooperDooperLooper and Great Bear and they have reindeer there too. I'm so glad that you guys loved Hersheypark, it's pretty hard to hate it there. I love ZooAmerica as well. One of the things I love about this park is usually the people in line with you are very nice to talk to and the ride operators and staff are very nice and friendly, there's this one time I was in line for SooperDooperLooper and this one ride operator was getting the people in line to sing Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer it was pretty cool, he also would ask the riders how it was when it came back into the station. Great Bear is my favorite roller coaster there and of all the ones I've been on which isn't quite as much as what you, Alex and Brett have. I also really like SooperDooperLooper, Comet, Fahrenheit, Storm Runner, Laff Trakk and Lightning Racer, the only roller coaster that I actually had a night ride on here are Fahrenheit and SooperDooperLooper. You guys did really well for a Saturday, Hersheypark is usually very swamped on the weekend and the ride wait times are very close to 2 hours for the coasters and I avoid the water park too because you stand in line for so long there too. Hopefully, you can come back to Kennywood and Hersheypark both so you can ride Steel Curtain and Candymonium. PS: Hersheypark used to have a rapids ride, I think it was called Canyon River Rapids or something like that, I never got to the chance to get on it, they closed and tore it down by the time I started going to Hershey every year. Also, the old entrance you'd have loved because it would have reminded you and Alex of home with the Tudor style buildings, I loved it and is a bit sad they took that out. :'( Pretty nice that Jeff met up with you guys and showed you around. So sorry for these long comments.
During the summer brief rainstorms are very common in America. They’ll come up quickly, rain for about 20 minutes, then leave. Also, I count my credits but I’d much rather get re rides on Fahrenheit and Storm Runner than wait 20 minutes for a kids coaster.
Recent subscriber here after my first visit to Blackpool pleasure beach in 15 years in July, loving the channel and ‘trying’ to catch up on your vlogs. Keep up the good work. P.S off to the states next week and gonna try and persuade family to go to Dollywood and Carowinds 🤞
Or an RMC or a big intamin launched like stealth but bigger ( can’t remember the name) or a big wing coaster or a big dive coaster or a coaster like the famous one at phantasialand that I can’t remember the name of
Formula 1st it’s called Xcelerator. But the thing is, stealth needs to look like the big ride in the park tho so maybe something like expedition GeForce
The uk needs some major investment into rides. Thrope Park hasn’t had one since 2012; they waste money on stupid stuff - bouncy castles or e-sports. If they’re not careful everyone will just take a cheap flight to Walibi Holland, Parc Asterix or Liseberg etc instead because they’re better parks
My Skyrush afternoon ride, which I waited an hour for and was in the back right seat, was ranked behind Stormrunner. I felt like I got no airtime. Then I got 3 consecutive night rides, bumping it up until my favorite coaster at the park and my current #3. I felt the airtime and laterals and the intensity. The drop is one of my favorites, with that crazy banking and that compact turn. I don’t care about the pain on my thighs it inflicts.
Skyrush never disappoints for me. I never notice it running slow, it always runs at its best to every time I ride it. I have been on this ride more than any roller coaster
I'm so glad you've enjoyed the parks of Pennsylvania overall, especially in terms of atmosphere and staff. Folks have a lot of preconceived notions about PA, mainly because of the cities, and the assumption that Pittsburgh is all crumbling factories (when it totally isn't). They don't know that there's these really pleasant bits of the state, with a lot of great people. Now, you guys at TPW know, and it makes me really happy. Knoebels and Kennywood are two of my all-time favorite parks, and I hope you come back to both sometime. Oh, and I agree with you on Cadbury chocolate over Hershey's.
Used to live in NY so been to Coney Island, Great Adventure, Hershey Park and Dorney Park! Moved to MN and been to Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. I want to travel to Cedar Point and also international but doubt it because student loans come first and I owe 200,000
Hershey Park is special for me as Great Bear was my 50th Coaster Credit. And the Hyper they were building at time of filming CandyMonium isnt bad for one of the lower end hypers.
sean i need your help. what american park would yiou go to if you had 3 to choose from?? im thinking out of these options sfmm sfga + hershey weve done cedar point so many times kings dominion/busch gardens
No one ever talks about how Shawn literally uploads a full length 1 hour vlog nearly every day, the guys schedule must be nuts. We really appreciate your hard work as always Shawn!
My favourite thing about these road trip videos is the “we’re really tired” before “let’s find some chicken tenders” and Alex demolishing a whole pizza 😂
Admire the dedication of pushing through this trip while your body is probably running entirely on deep fried chicken and RMC hype
That was very nice of jeff bezos to show you and alex around the park!
genuinely my favourite people on UA-cam, perfect duo.

This park was excellent and we had a great day
Dude ate an entire cheese pizza and then complained about having a stomach ache? 😐 And what’s up with his milk obsession?
Anyhow, love the vlogs. Glad you guys had a great visit to the US.
Leave the Milkman alone, despite his review on SkyRush, I always get the big glass of milk at Dollywood, and have to wait an hour to ride. Lol.
Someone really needs to explain to that boy that no other warm blooded creature on earth drinks milk beyond infancy......

You are like the Energizer Bunny! You just keep going. What a great looking park! Another quality vlog
I try to!
Had a great couple of visits to this park in 2009 when I was living in NYC. Definitely worth the drive.
OMG -- the sound of that Schwarzkopf! My favorite sound ever. Revolution sounds exactly the same.

Hersheypark really needs to consider giving Wildcat the RMC treatment
It needs a re tracking that's it honestly cause in the front cars the airtime is great and for the most part at least for me smoothish
GCI made a statement saying that they wouldn't allow RMC to treat it.
@@edwdscissorhands They need to try though
Or tear it down to build yet another hyper coaster🤣🤣🤣
The non wheel seats arent to bad, but yah I agree, rmc needs to remake it! 🎢

You say you prefer airtime over inversions, but then say SkyRush wasn't as good as Flying Ace because it didn't have inversions? What the deuce?
I mean I think his point was that it as a specific coaster type is better with inversions, and especially since he went on flying aces (and baco I guess) first I imagine SkyRush not having any inversion it’d feel like it was missing something or lacking that same intensity.

We had a fantastic time and I would love to visit again in the future!
I rode storm runner, that was one I remember! Loved it
Used to live in NY so been to Coney Island, Great Adventure, Hershey Park and Dorney Park!
Uk: we have the weirdest rides
America: hold my Donald trump *builds storm runner*
Fun fact: All cows in the Hershey area can sing. It can be alarming to visitors, but we locals embrace it.
sean i need your help. what american park would yiou go to if you had 3 to choose from??

Loved the vlog, looks a great park, I don’t mind the Hershey kisses, but don’t like the milk chocolate 👍
No one ever talks about how Shawn literally uploads a full length 1 hour vlog nearly every day, the guys schedule must be nuts. We really appreciate your hard work as always Shawn!
Thank you very much!
My mom really wants to come to this park. I’m trying to convince her to wait until next year. No pun intended but it’s gonna be sweet.
Thats what I'm doing.
It’s been so long since I’ve been to Hersey but I really hope I can go in a few years or in a few months or when I’m in that area
Theme park worldwide did you sit in the very front for wildcat when I did the airtime was amazing but I could have gotten lucky
Great video! I’d love to go there!
Great vlog. Really excited for when the Planet Coaster episodes come out
A new series will be launching later this year!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide awesome!
Hershey makes Cadbury products for the US. They look look like Bandai Japan and Bandai America/Hasbro toys
22:04 "The staff here are really friendly"
22:08 Are you sure about that?!! 🤨😁
In general we had some brilliant interactions with staff at this park!
Love mouse and bear rides
Hershey Park looks surprisingly pleasant. Hopefully the new area at the entrance will look great when completed.
I really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing the new entrance when its complete
