Big E, Great advice on hoarding, I also tell my friends " do not " fall for the trap on gun broker these thieves can keep it ....The problem is that some will pay whatever for powder or primers it's fun to see what people are willing to pay.........crazy times !! I'm like you, I always have loaded ammo for all my firearms and I do have reloading supplies on hand, just in case, I've been through this before not fun !!
My guess is ammo will be more available in 2022, but at higher prices. We will never experience availability and prices like we did in 2019. Too much uncertainty, so people will stock pile.
It's now Labor Day. Covid still a big issue here in Tx. Picked up a Taurus 856 38 at Academy last week $329, not too bad. I found bulk FMJ online for it. Couldn't find any JHP or anything self defense at all. I have an Uberti colt old model P 44 spl. with all kinds of reloading stock for it and am tempted to gouge sell some. I won't be part of the problem, but I feel alone out here with this view as most people are still gouging ammo and primers can't be found. Maybe assault weapon laws are coming in the future but even liberals like me love their guns and shooting sports too much to support blanket gun prohibitions. So keep the faith and we can wait it out and get back to sanity soon I hope and I can find 38 reloading stock.
The Smarter Gun dealers if they Didnt go overboard with Prices ,hopefully they will reap the benefits Is it cost effective to Import Products ,Cases, Primers? Or has that to be done via a dealer? We import Russian ammo ?? Why is that not out on the market ?? They didn't have a shortage or complete shut downs like here in the USA.. They don't use brass???? They use steel case. So why do we no longer have any Russian bulk ammo ?? The import of these Russian caliber ammo must be blocked or shut down. Why ???? No 54r or Ak ammo as its gone too..
i hate being negative ......but its not EVER gonna get back to normal now . and by summer , the prices are gonna be double what they are now . i suggest , if you have the money to buy all you can afford . if you like shooting and dont already have a decent reserve then .....its now or never . i honestly think they will ram thru some insane policies very soon . i would very much like to think it will all settle down and go back to prices and supplies of a year ago . but its not gonna happen.
I've always said that the democRATs can never 'take' all the guns. There's simply too many. But they CAN shut off the manufacturing of ammo and do it almost over night! BTW? I picked up my first 'wheel' gun last week. I bought a Ruger GP100 in .357 mag. (It's also my first .357 mag) Before the background check was even complete....one full week, I bought a die set, 100 shells and a big bag of SWC bullets.
The military and police ammo contracrs are also beig filled first.
Makes sense gman i don't blame them, If i manufactured ammo I would fill government contract first they got deeper pockets. Lol

Big Ed if you are trying to find bullets I would recommend casting you can use wheel weights and it’s a fun offshoot of reloading
Grant I've been looking at melting pots thinking about casting my own, once ski season is finished I'll start investing.

I think soon you should be able to reload 38's small primers are gonna be hard to find.
Shotgun ammo getting hard to find too. Things are pretty goofy.

I have been able to get 7.62 x 39 ,not by the thousands though.
Lots of AK imported ammo coming in I haven't had any trouble. Prices are up and down though between 40 to 50 cents per round
I also see AK 7.62x39 for sale .40-.50 cents around not crazy but not cheap either.
If anyone is in Ohio and has any varget or anything similar I got a brick of small pistol primers 🤷🏽

It is the year 21(agenda 21) and since they lost 4 yrs with hillary to ram it forward, they are scrambling to get back on track.
