I have the M50manifold swap and with the other mods I have on the car, I feel no lost in torque anywhere. The mods I have are cold air intake, power pulleys, light weight flywheel, and UUC free flow exhaust. It pulls like a train and I love it. Did all the work myself. I agree with you 100% these cars were meant to have and should have all come with the M50 manifold.
Jordan did my tune on my M3 post M50 and it's such a big difference. You already had a CAI and I felt even more pull once I Jimmy rigged my own CAI down to the duct. Best money I spent on the car. Hope you added the burble tune though, so much fun lol
M50 was the first version of the 95obd1 S50 the S52 was built off the M52 motor, that’s why I’m positive the s52 and m52 share manifold and the m50 and s50 share manifolds. Love you car though , we’re twins haha.
I am going a different way. m50 manifold, 24lb injectors, intake, Porsche 3.5" afm, corsa catback, and probably a shark tune for now. Schrick cams, shorty headers and a stage 3 later. I want to be at 270-280rwhp

Broski, do injectors and 3.5" throttle body and run the alpina b3 tune. S52 is essentially an alpina b3 3.2 engine with injectors, tb and m50 mani. Shorty headers help too but yeah

How different did your car perform after the swop and tune at really low revs,say 1500-3000? My 328i is a daily driver and I spend a fair amount of time at low revs so I don't want to lose that torqueness..thanks again for a great channel!
Thanks! Honestly it's really hard to say. I don't feel like it has lost any drivability at lower rpm, but I never really punch it when it's that low so I can't say for sure if it lost anything.
Been driving my 96 328is with an M50 and shark injector tune since, oh, about 2009. Has 265,000 miles on it and I still love it. And NO, lol, NOOOOO low end power is not an issue. I can take off in 3rd if I want to and turn onto highway onramps in 5th at 30mph, 1000rpm and it takes off with no issue. Just yesterday I was stuck in stop and go traffic for 2 hours and spent the majority of the time in 2nd and 3rd. Only needed 1st from dead stops.
@@RobertMorgan Thanks Robert. This is good to know. Here in South Africa we don't always have access to specific tuning kits but we do have some very competent tuning houses. What I reckon I will do is to get the manifold and get one of these guys to do the tune. Does your injector tune involve additional hardware or are the standard injectors used?
*Can you please do a video on buying a used E36?* If you had 7k to invest...go through craigslist ads or whatnot...show how you would evaluate selections, what cars to focus on, what questions to ask, etc. Then the cost for the top three upgrades from your other video...if I have say $7k...I buy at $4k to invest the rest in upgrades that will be needed. Or, just sell me yours...I'll spend more for an enthusiasts' car! I love E30's as well...

Im glad you decided to make a video on this.. its been on my mind to do so as well. have you noticed the car seems to be alot happier to at highway speeds? 60-80mph seems like its effortless for the s52 after the swap. If you plan on FI at anytime the gain's will be most apparent then. Keep it up man!
I got an E36 M3 coupe also with a brand new engine so I wanna know if I should get it dyno tune or superchaged it ? Don’t know much abt cars just got the car but tunning it up like my ecu will make more hp right ?

I actually already have an electric fan and also a lightweight flywheel. The flywheel came already from the previous owner, and I did the electric fan when I rebuilt the cooling system 👍. Thanks for watching!
