    This motorcycle should hit the spot from riders not living in the GS shadow.

    Truly nice! And I say this as a rider of an old, air-cooled GS. My brother rides a V 85 tt, which is nice, but lacking engine punch. I'll go for a test ride for sure!

    I test rode this bike around the loop (even before Dylan did lol), and at 6'7", I can say that the ergos might be the best of any bike I've ever ridden. It's extremely comfortable, both in terms of seating and suspension. The engine is spectacular, as it is in the V100.
    Realistically, it's probably the Guzzi I *should* buy, but I just can't get the stunning red V100 out of my head. Good thing you can't go wrong with either choice.

    Why they put a smaller fuel tank on their off road bike than their smaller off road bike, which gets better fuel mileage has a larger one, is beyond me. Hard pass for me until that gets addressed.

    More than $10K less than the new 1300GS makes it a STRONG consideration. I'm interested.

    Thank you very much for this quick preview, I bought V100 S but I miss something. I realized after riding many motorcycles, that I have the same preferences as you and I am as tall as you. So I plan to trade in V100 for Stelvio. Can you compare suspension comfort with V85? Because I had one and it was just perfect for my needs. is Stelvio same/similar in tis area?

    The design language is not Guzzi. This will be a failure when it comes to sales. Mark my words.

    • @throttlecompany

      You must not be familiar with the Moto Guzzi Quota which ran from 1992-2000. It was designed 100% in Mandello del Lario and before the merger with Aprilia. The new Stelvio shares a lot of its design “language” with the Quota, which is inarguably “Guzzi”.

    im concerned for the heat as the mandelo mondelo i test rode got serious heat from the engine in summer city traffic

    • @throttlecompany
      @throttlecompany  7 місяців тому +1

      I don’t want to appear dismissive but I don’t think this is an issue whatsoever. An engine is a metal container filled with repeated gasoline explosions, the main byproduct of that is heat. This is just part of the experience of riding motorcycles where you are positioned close to the explosion box. I think this idea of “I’m uncomfortable, therefore this is a problem with the design” is just an expression of inexperience.

    • @baklcdcvdfv3434r4

      @@throttlecompany of course there is heat its engine but there is difference between heat and excessive heat.. i got tuareg 660 heat is crazy in city traffic it cooking me i also have the new transalp 750 which is extremely comfortable heat vise ... so technology experience friction and compression of the engine brings different temp levels... for example guzzi 850 tt dont come near that of the heat that mandelo v100 produces and this can be a big issue in heavy traffic if you ride this bike dayli

    • @checker3694
      @checker3694 7 місяців тому

      The only heat problem on Mandello on hot day is right inside ankle, on a 25c + day, heat soak from CAT only when stationary, and then a proper riding boot,with correct socks, problem solved. There is no other heat dispersal otherwise.

      Get the high seat, lowered foot pegs and a handlebar riser and it’ll fit great. I rode it today and at 6’4” I was a tiny bit cramped, but it can easily be fixed. Nice machine that will stand out, for sure.
