"To Tame A Land". Nothing beats its composition. Its also inspired by the novel "Dune", but David Lynch didn't use it on the movie which lead to create a long rift with the band.
Actually it was Frank Herbert who did not allow them to use Dune as the title of the song that caused an issue, David Lynch has probably never heard of them. That said, 'To Tame a Land' is one of my three fave Maiden songs, it's extraordinary.
@@Ferretbomber Υes. Herbert was, you are correct, but I think it was supposed, like an early deal thing, to be used as the title song. Maybe I'm wrong, its been long time since I've read the interview. On the other hand, Lunch is a musical genius, picking always his music alone and he even used a Ramstein track decades before USA had heard their name. Im positive he knew them.
Maiden has been my favorite band since I was 8 years old. I’m 51 now. That being said I personally enjoy their newer albums. I have four Eddie tattoos. One on each arm and my whole chest is done with 2 different Eddies. My favorite song is a toss up between Dance of Death and The Talisman
I can't pick my favourite song with Iron Maiden. Once you hear a song you haven't heard in a while you're like: "Holy crap, this is good!" Then you hear another song you haven't hear in a while and you say the exact same thing again. Impossible to pick a favourite. I don't have any Maiden tattoos. But in my youth I had a painting of the album cover from Seventh Son of A Seventh Son on my wall above my bed. I miss it. I'm glad I still have a picture of it at least. This song is so incredibly good as well. So emotinal and Bruce's voice is just insane!
'To Tame a Land' is an excellent song, Maiden has so many amazing songs. After that, maybe 'Where Eagles Dare' and 'Powerslave' are my faves, but there are a ton.
greetings and love from Cologne, Germany again...great reaction like always. Ohhh, Travis didn´t got it, Suzi and it was so obivious from you as you slowly said to him:"...I´m wondering if his chorus tattoo is made in "Thin Lines", hehe and, Suzi, you didn't point out your ingenious pun to him after that, you little rascal, you 🤣😍 So,..i´m a MaidenManiac since 1985....well, this song is not one of my favorites from the boys...hard to choose just one...but at the very top of my list is "Hell On Earth".......however, have a peaceful day, you beautyful people..UP THE IRONS 666

Goood from 2000's album Brave New World at what very song you guys have alrrady reacted something like 3 years ago . Have you notice constant transitions in rythm , tyny or big they are smooth . My Hubble suggestion is to listen Empire of the Clouds a song of 18 minutes lenght . Another example of transitions . In random short times i have thinked about tatoos but I have never done one . Every singer in maiden have had several moods in his voice , also soothing although is not very common
“Ohh a fucking miss it “ jaja Nicko
Hell on Earth (2021)

This song as the ending of BNW album. Just perfect imo
Keep reacting and enjoying music! :)
When BNW came I'd listen to it daily for several weeks, and almost every time I'd play this one again
There are so many great songs but Still Life and Infinite Dreams are the top tier for me ❤️
'To Tame a Land' is an excellent song, Maiden has so many amazing songs. After that, maybe 'Where Eagles Dare' and 'Powerslave' are my faves, but there are a ton.

Alexander the Great.... (Greece
In an ancient land called Macedonia)
Not a bad song, but there are easily half a dozen better songs on this same record. I wore this record out when it was released. All summer long!
I love you please Watch Iron Maiden song...
Maidennnnnn

Just think that this is just a song in Maiden's back catalogue that no one really thinks about.....
I wanted to get a tattoo of them but didn’t know which one so I didn’t get one. Too many favorite songs, but one of them is wasted years
