    Thanks for sharing all the wonderful knitting you've done this year and inspiring many I'm sure. We're now going into our 3rd lockdown in EnglandUK and it's reassuring to think that the knitting continues.... it's been a great support to many of us, and watching your vlogs has been part of that. Thank you! Linda

    I so look forward to your podcasts. This time last year we were in the middle of all the bushfires in Australia, I'm in The Blue Mountains, NSW, and you sent your best wishes to us. At this time now, where I live, we are influenced by the La Nina weather system which means it's raining all the time. You can't win in Australia!! I think this year I will follow your example and keep a little diary of when I start and finish a project.

      Hi Fiona! I use Ravelry to record my projects....but a written record works too of course....whatever you are comfortable with. It is great to be able to “see” what you have accomplished....also what you haven’t :) Hope your weather gets better...it’s all snow and damp here....looking for one of those bright sunny snowy days :)

    Thank you for the lovely year in review. You are so productive knitting wise which makes you a great role model for me. I have a question about your darning...what got you interested and are you partial to a particular style, book or youtube channel?

    • @AnneFeatonby
      @AnneFeatonby  3 роки тому

      Hi Catherine! Darning seems to be everywhere....but in particular, bookhou on Instagram who is Arounna in Toronto, and Hikaru_noguchi_design also on Instagram.....then look at some hashtags and you’ll be gone for a while LOL!!!

    Loved your latest podcast. But what about that cream mohair blend jacket/cardigan you made from a Mode magazine? I was going to try that one myself. I thought that would show up in your finished objects for 2020 as well.

    A happy and healthy New Year to you Anne. Your knitting is always inspiring and a great fun to watch the finished projects. You show 12 colours of a beautiful yarn: what is the companies name? I didn' t get it. Virtual hugs from Germany

      Hi Sylvia! Happy New Year!!! It is Koigu yarn....I believe they were the original hand painted yarn company....it’s 100% wool, it is super wash, very tightly spun so is good for socks....good for garments too! I knit a shawl using 9 shades of it held with Kidsilk haze and it is gorgeous....the Burrow Wrap www.ravelry.com/projects/LifeLackaDaisiCal/the-burrow-wrap I also used Koigu with Kidsilk Haze in my Love Note Sweater www.ravelry.com/projects/LifeLackaDaisiCal/love-note I’m looking for a modular knit or these shades to have something to remember 2020 with (not that I’m about to forget)....and might include 2021 shades.....we will see. Thanks for dropping by!

    Ann, have you seen Visible Mending, the book by Arounna Khannoraj, a designer from Toronto...she is all over IG and her site is Bookhou designs?

    • @AnneFeatonby
      @AnneFeatonby  3 роки тому

      Yes I have seen it Andrea - haven’t invested yet :) Do you have it??? I have one of her zippered bags. Everything she does it lovely :) Thanks!

    • @andrealandsburg8882
      @andrealandsburg8882 3 роки тому

      Yes... my grandmother always mended and used a mushroom to darn socks and I feel it is a lost art form. Arounna also sells mending kits that would have needles to fit inside your mushroom..plus I must confess to owning several of her pouches and bags...she was at Knit City 2019, so I was able to chat with her...I also stitch and embroider and love to see it incorporated into fiber garments as you did with your Rowan poncho..Beautiful.
