Michael Crawford is a comedic genius. He also brings an inner sweetness to every role he plays, either as Frank Spencer or as the Phantom or everything else.
despite the fact that his character was clumsy. He was absolutely brilliant with Jessica. He should have persued a career as an Early Childhood Teacher
I absolutely love this. Haha, Michael Crawford is one of my all-time favourite comedians and performers. Who knew that Frank Spencer would become the fantastic voice behind the mask
Frank Spencer was the clumsiest character I have ever known in my life!!!!🤣🤣 He really made me had a good laugh back then in the days, when I was growing up watching "Some Mothers do have them"!!!🤣🤣
Deep sadness underlies great comedy. Crawford's marriage had ended just prior to his taking this role. The loss of his 2 little girls in the process adds poignancy when he tells Jessica what they'll do together as she grows up. Fine acting.
I ''grew up'' with MC as Frank! MY fav has to be the Scottish dancing one.At the time,it caused a LOT of excitement because the ending was unexpected - MC not wearing anything under the kilt!If anyones seen that one,the reactions by the extras are totally REAL,inc Michelle Dotrice!!! I also agree with prev comment about his interaction with ''Jessica'' - hes so sweet.I love also the one where hes trying to make her eat''going in the tunnel'' - he looks like hes going to throw up!!Love him!!!
I was looking for, there was a man who had a cat. He fed it well. It grew so fat. I always sing it this time of year when I hear that Christmas song by Coldplay 😂
"He had to stoke it with a Broom. And when it purred it shook the room. One day, the Cat, a dog it saw and went along to shake a paw? The Dog just gave a frightened pant. He thought it was an Ele-phant." I always laugh when I think of that!
@@Dermot2927 I watched a documentary on this show some years ago. Apparently they filmed her laying in her cot in her parents house so as to not unsettle her.
Love it he so funny I know if I ever had a little one and he or she had been fed changed and wouldn't settle I would get daddy to sing a lullaby.✌✌✌✌🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
If his leg has gone to sleep, its definitely pins and needles. Try telling that to a doctor or a dentist who put things to sleep temporarily with anesthetics
i remba wen they played em on beeb2 in the late 90's afta sum sports show and if they ova run and smdae was cancled i was in a bad mood all evening! i neva get tired of frank!
@@kevinfred10001He was talking about Edward (Ted) Heath who was British prime minister at the time. He owned his own boat, in recent years its come to light what he got up to on it too with kids. The guy moved in sinister circles.

Michael Crawford is an absoloute legend. I really admire him. He makes me laugh when I see him.
"And now the dog is walking to the tree!"
I love how he doesn't even realize what's going to happen until it's too late! XD

I love Frank Spencer. I love the scene were he's feeding baby Jessica.
Amazing performer. The way he could inject pathos into such a pure slapstick comedy character was brilliant.
One of my favourite shows growing up!! Kid's probably about my age now.
Crawford is a Comedy genius!
The expression on baby Jessica's face at 1:29 is priceless. XD
Wind….
My nanna and I used to always watch this at her house when I’d stay there, man. These memories are killing is.

I guess he shouldnt have cheated on his wife.
He didn't lose them, they kept in touch.
Even Jessie laughs at Frank 🤣🤣🤣❤️

That baby’s thinking “oh god, please no, daddy” 😟
I was looking for, there was a man who had a cat. He fed it well. It grew so fat.

Eating, eating, it couldn’t stop… Growing, growing, until it went POP!

Jessica: *gargle*
Frank: Pardon?
I'm sure that was improvised!
I don’t think the baby was even there for the long shots.

Hahaha Frank Spencer's a legend.
Best voice ever!
I watched this growing up in the 80's. Reminds me of my late dad. One of his favourite shows.
My God, this character is ADORABLE. Frank reminds me a bit of Hugh Laurie's Bertie Wooster. X3 (Except, somehow, more bumbling.)
Now the dog is walking over to the tree...(snaps the curtains shut) NAUGHTY DOG...
Impressinations.....genius!!!
"i spy with my lidda eye" :D

You don't get shows like this anymore apart from My Family it is a real shame.
Does anyone have a clip when Frank is singing a lullaby to jessica

were can i get the sound track for this comedy?
Even Jessica looks at Daddy..seriously Dad🙄
That's so cute :)
I know Frank spencer is such an idiot, but in a way I think he makes such a good dad :D
I think the same
Yes for all his flaws Frank is a sweet and gentle dad to that baby girl.
He based the character on his 5-year-old daughter which I think is so cute

Ho ho ho ho ho, I don't care 'cause I got a boat
