It’s 2023, and I’m still laughing at an absolute comic genius!
Very talented guy. He was also the phantom in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA musical on Broadway. Really nice singer.
I’m 75 and I still laugh myself stupid when I watch these shows.
He is a master comic😆
"If he had died he would have never told us". Hahaha
This show never gets old 🇦🇺
Im 36 and this was my oldmans favourite. He passed when i was 9 and i still remember how this use to make him laugh. Still makes me laugh😂😂
3 months at a monastery and graduated as a gas fitter 😂😂😂😂😂
I pissed meself laughing at that one 😂
I'm almost 61,and watching this brings back such memories, of my age of 12/13, and my departed parents laughing away when this was on. This man was a comedy genius.
I own all the episodes on DVD. I also have the 3 Christmas specials and the 2016 one they released. You can find that on You tube as welll
Bless
Me too it was comedy at its best. Hysterical
‘We haven’t found a buyer for the cat yet’ 😂
There’s never been a funnier comedy character than Frank. He’s peerless.
Sad thing was, many years later when Michael Crawford was working in Theater for Phantom of The Opera, some member of staff that I knew, said that he was a right little shit to his staff. Hard to believe but there you go. Maybe he didn’t like the blue M and Ms
@@fretboardmaster70 how do you know it's not true?
My Nan introduced me to this program when I used to stay with her as a kid, Love you Nan, RIP 💚
Good to see some mothers do 'ave em getting the love it deserves here in the comments. Brilliant series.
"I am worried about my mother" " oh getting on a bit is she? " frank: "oh you know, about your age" ..brilliant writing!
I laughed as a boy and 35 years later I still crackup. friction trouble - don't touch it Betty lolol.
😂👌
All the qualities for a PM..!
🤪
We never go to have another frank Spencer’s again
Only one, him

Do you have a criminal record?
No. But do you still need one to go there!
My ten convict ancestors certainly were well qualified 😄
You would wait all week for these shows, and not stop laughing from beginning to end. Remember the roller skates episode, doing all his own stunts,a classic!
Me & my late mate Mick loved this program. RIP mick .
My hat goes off to Mr Spencer.. the funniest man EVER! Oh the good old days eh...
No one can top this man. He still cracks me up.
Me too, loved every one of the series. I'm now an old lady (80years old and still going) they where amazing, so,so funny. Loved them 👍💕
Happy memories
Mr Crawford/Frank is magical for now until forever. In his voice and in his everything. Legends live for lifetime. All our love from Scotland, UK
He was his own stunt man !
Better than comedy today it still makes me laugh after all these years 🤣
Crawford was and remains brilliant and one of the greatest performers
I maybe 20, but I love this show 😂😂
😍😍😍
That's good to hear . I grew up in the 70's ,80's watching it while in elementary/primary school. Frank Spencer is my comedy mentor.
Maybe 20? But you're not sure? 🤣🤣
This is good
It does not get any funnier than frank spencer so funny tears of joy great man xx
I saw this man in person in the play Barnum at the London Palladium ages ago.
His talent is unbelievable.
Condor man as well......
LoL. Don't touch it Betty; all the Spencer's are well built, apart from myself, I've got the lean & hungry look.😅🤣
Edward Hardwicke - very good comic acting here, and passable Ozzie accent from an Englishman in an English production
I thought I recognised him! He's perhaps better known as playing Dr. Watson to Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes in the Granada ITV adaptations from the late 80s/early 90s.
Oh Frank! after all these years, I dunno whether to laugh or cry...maybe a bit of both.
quite a contrast for Michelle dotrice between this and soon the darkness.. and hammer movies , loved her 😊🤗
Cheered me up. When the BBC used to make decent programmes
Fantastic memories from my childhood...still funny today in 2022
A true classic . He was a Legend
How can u not like Frank Spencer, good on u Michael Crawford
How they didn't laugh during that is unbelievably. So funny
I thought there were moments where the interviewer seemed to hold back some laughter. He did an excellent job.
Part time monking!! Awesome line!!
Monking it up!
While Britain ditches its old sitcoms, the rest of the world keeps lapping it up. ❤
Everything of any quality is seeking, here, to be thrown overboard
Ditches? It forgot how to be funny. And Britain's been overrun by right wing thugs who were never funny then or now, unless we're talking about their intellects.
@@ColtraneTaylor What exactly is right wing? Never saw anything attack the industry but a few groups that felt they needed to do something to get notice in life. Interesting subject.
@@gailbirchall2163 Fuck off with your "interesting subject" you alt right troll.
@@ColtraneTaylor quiet, nouveau fascist. if you don't like living in a european advanced jurisdiction, go back to your second or third world ancestry.

Bored flipping through video now writing this with a big grin on my face. Frank and Betty and poor fellow dealing with them classic.
This still cracks me up. 😂😂😂Frank Spencer Mrs Spencer 😂😂😂😂
Frank spencer absolute class beset comedy ever use to watch this in my childhood and still love it at 48 👍
Every man needs a woman like Betty.
I would of loved to see Franks mother, after all they are all a family of slippers hahaha
I love this show! Frank Spencer is hilarious! Michael Crawford is the one & only Frank!!! 😘
Makes every day brighter.
I love this show....I saw a interview with Michael and Michele and it was Michael who chose Michele to play Betty
Love "Some Mothers " & ritely named a daughter Jessica, the laughs I get from Frank are a fab delight
What a crack up always used to make me laugh was always my cheering up medicine when I was feeling down
Don't recognize this show, but this scene is brilliantly hilarious!
Alan Robinson it’s called some mothers do have em
I remember, almost screaming Beaty Just leave him, please Beatty; please , please! Good old Humour, and he was such a genius! You can almost hear me scream Leave him Beatty all the way from New Zealand! Its is so good to be bale to have a trip down memory lane; I remember watching this with my Grandfather and Parents; thank you so much!
Betty :)
the belly moving laughs you get from watching this character is something else. Great classic comedy, miss it!!
Actually its a good work out
Love this show !! ( please keep him where he is )
This guy was a master comic😂 I was around 5 years old when I watched this... Best show on NTA then
Brilliant... laughed too much...
Pure MAGIC !
Provoking Australian immigration that's not difficult 😂
Its got so bad they don't let anybody leave.
Even their own citizens can't get back in... 😂
Feel sorry for any one that a citizen dictator state
We have a few Frank Spencers, filling in time in Parliment house.
Let's hope that they do not get into government 😉
and thare is a lot of frank Spencers in NZ parliment as well hahaha
...I wonder who put them there...
No, I don't vote since ages...you see, I couldn't bring myself to queuing at the poll boot, knowing that there were Franks Spencer in the queue hiring other F Spencer for the Parliament...only a blind boss won't see what the employees are up to //-))
Frank needs voting in
Only 650
"Ah, I was just looking at your aberration! At the water hole. He's a rude aberration, he is!"
Edward Hardwicke was best known for playing one of two incarnation of Doctor Watson, alongside Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes, I didn't know how good a comical actor he was.
He also played mr Hooper in the employment exchange episode in series 1
2024 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll never stop laughing at episodes of “Some Mothers…..”
Classic - true comic professional - timing, acting, script - perfect
Well I have swam much further... but I was wind assisted 😂
Trivia: Edward Hardwicke who played the emigration officer also played Mr Hooper the job advisor in The Employment Exchange episode.
He also played Dr. Watson in the best Sherlock Holmes series every, with Jeremy Brett. Him and David Burke. That is another spectacular series.
Must have changed jobs after his encounter with Frank Spencer!
The civil service employs clones.
If he had died he'd never have told us
Comedy genius
One of my favorite shows in the 80's. can't believe that he became the main star of the Broadway Phantom of the opera.
You might find this hard to believe but there are thousands of real life frank Spencers. .
Yeah but only one of them who knows how to make you laugh.
+Marc Veldman Yeh it's absolutely side splitting. .and you know what, nobody in the world could have played that character as brilliantly as Michael Crawford. just the funny looks he gives and is posture, pure genius.
+Marc Veldman we'll never see grates like this again. or things like black adder or the new statesman with rick mayall. .the comedians today don't make me laugh at all. I don't find them funny at all!
Yep and my hubby's one of them. He has Aspergers ...brain damage via vaccines, he can't read people, and he takes things they say literally.
His antics are hilarious, you just wouldn't believe the things he does, I didn't at first, but now I know he doesn't do them on purpose.
He was warned not to go off with anyone outside the hotel he stayed in, in Gambia, then once outside, a man asked him if he wanted to see around the place, and he thought that would be nice, an hour later he was in the middle of nowhere and the man said he had to leave, so my hubby asked him how to get back and he summoned a car, he said was a taxi, and my hubby had to pay a fortune to this """taxi guy""""" to get back!!!!!
I remember laughing at this show as a kid. Hilarious!
I would love to see a prequel series about the lives of young Frank and his mother.
Its near the sea, lol
I still laugh so much love the show of Betty and Frank
I was just admiring your boomerang 🪃 😆 🤣
well, i have always been his grandson
Brilliant comedy...classics cnt beat it
It's an extraordinary character, almost hard to believe.
When I see Betty, I know there's hope for me, Lol
My mate when we are drinking we,d say to him go on do Frank he,d start talking like him we,d. All crack up at him😊😂🤣😁😀😆
Lol love it! Nearly 50 years ago.
After this, how could he NOT be cast as the phantom?
This highlights how we have lost our sense of humour in 2022. He is still brilliant after all these years. So good.
We lost it way before 2022
@@recall2880 You'll never be permitted to air the "aberration" line with all the idiotic PC police screaming for your blood!!!! 🙄😂
Way too true it's always great
Funny thing is, I arrived in Oz in 75 and every work place had a Frank in it 🤣🤣
Just brilliant absolutely annoying hilarious...British comedy is brilliant...
Absolutely fantastic ❤❤
Loved it, thanks, gave me great belly laughs, from an Aussie. :)
Most brilliant program ever. I loved his mother in law who actually hated his guts. She said he kept having accidents as it was a hereditary condition in his family. She couldn’t stand Frank. She said he was an idiot.
Brilliant as ever
Vintage Frank Spencer. Absolutely brilliant...❤
This scene is the absolute highlight in this briljant serie.
That's why British comedies are the best for me especially using the Queen's English.
I love it !! Thanks for posting ...
I would of loved to see a short script on them coming here for a holiday lol
would of?
I enjoyed it so much..thanks
Betty was very patient with Frank, 😂😂😂😂❤❤
So funny,such a clever man.
Love the show
Enjoyed, good one.
Omg forgot how hilarious it was
this is the best scene ever
