Release for full show on DVD and I would buy 2 copies it in a split second. This songs are not complete. But never mind, they are incredible. Johnny Winter And fans have been waiting many years for a full film on this band to come out. Please do it for the many many Winter fans out there. They did not forget his amazing shows from the 70`s. There are over 20 MAJOR FAN SITES ON JOHNNY WINTER ON FACEBOOK. Thank YOU ALEX R WHEN CONCERTS WERE A LIFE EXPERIENCE YOU NEVER FORGOT. LIKE DERRINGER AND EDGAR, BUT LOVED JOHNNY AND DERRINGER. THAT WAS THE BAND THAT WOULD OF MADE MORE ROCK HISTORY. WINTERS ONLY GOLD ALBUM WHEN IT CAME OUT. ROCK MANAGER WHO DON`T REALLY KNOW ROCK MUSIC. WILL MAKE BAD MOVES FOR THE MUSIC. JOHNNY BELONGED BEING A BIG DRAW, FOR MANY YEARS TO COME. WITH RD IN THE BAND, IT WOULD OF HAD A LONG STAYING POWER. BOBBY CALDWELL GET WELL SOON. THANKS ALEX R
So GREAT! Man I wish they had UA-cam back when I was a kid to be able to see all the great JW footage. It was like the dark ages back then. At best you could find a bad sound quality record if you were lucky and looked long enough.
This is so good! Prodigal Son was one of my favorite songs and then "Money for nothing" by the Dire Straits came out with almost the same opening riff. This is Edgar on the drums, right? And yes, Celt, Peace!
Bobby Caldwell replaced Randy Z, the member of the McCoys, who, according to Winter, went a bit out of his head and committed himself to hospital. Edgar Winter stayed behind to fill in drums until a new man was found.
It musta been cool to see that . Nothing against Edgar -- I love his talent and hold his work in the highest regard. But Bobby Caldwell was the one who really made this WInter incarnation go!
Edgar on drums This must right after Randy Zehringer had his encephalitis issues and couldn’t play drums anymore But before Bobby Caldwell joined the band.
Edgar Winter on drums. I saw them during this time in Rochester, NY July 1970.
Edgar on drums! The Second Atlanta International Pop Festival, July 5, 1970.
