The fence is great…looks beautiful. Clematis is a flowering climbing plant you should consider. Luce is adorable…love seeing her eating the steamed finger foods. We always fed our babies pastina as one of their first foods…but we fed them, they didn’t feed themselves the pastina. We were worried when we heard about the earthquake..glad you didn’t have any damage. Great video….love you.

Hello...so glad you were not badly affected by the earthquake. Your fence project looks awesome. I wonder about the way you attached the panels to the other fence. Zip ties tend to deteriorate over time. They do however have ones made of metal that you might consider. Also wisteria while beautiful has a negative option as well..... The root system on wisteria can be very invasive it can ruin block walls and choke out all other things growing near it over time over time. Please research that before planting. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us.
I'm laughing out loud at Luce, she has so much personality and is the happiest baby I've ever seen. Wonderful to see her eagerness to dive into life with her will and curiosity and so excited at the table. Awesome she is trying solid food now, a variety and so natural and healthy. Good afternoon from County Durham, England. 🇬🇧 Oh my goodness, I forgot that it was Sunday today. Woo hoo. Leaw 👏 Luce made me smile with her excited conversation at the beginning. Bless ❤️ my son enjoyed his baby led weaning. I remember him devouring a strawberry as his first piece of food and he never looked back. It did him for harm. He’s 33 now. As for climbing plants I’m from the North East of England and it’s rather cold here in the autumn and winter. We use clematis plants that are climbers and come in a variety of colours, flower shapes and sizes. Also jasmine and honeysuckle are good climbers too. They are hardy against the colder weather. When they are blooming, it’s like a rainbow coming to life. The flowers are like butterflies 🦋 and fairies 🧚♂️ blowing in the wind on your wall. Beautiful and very Hardy indeed.
great ideas, Clematis montana is very vigorous, it takes a few years to establish but then flies and it's beautiful. Plant a late flowering one as well and you'll have the summer and autumn covered. Those panels need bracing, though

What would be good would be sweet pea flowers or morning glory’s or something like that. Your fence isn’t very strong for something heavy like wisteria. Especially if it gets windy. You really need posts that are taller and at each junction to give stability. So with something like sweet pea or morning glory they can be temporarily planted in planters that you put along the fence, along the road side, so they grow on it and in winter time they can be removed. So if you have snow removal to do on the road/driveway it is out of the way. Something to think about. Rain and wind can bring down trees, not sure then fence would last long unfortunately without better structure. But it does look beautiful.

Climbing rose or Rambler rose are amazing and can survive frost. I know, cause we had them in Germany when i was a kid. The smell is intoxicating and the beauty is outstanding. They exist in different colours, but red is my favorite

I absolutely love Jasmine. All I drink is Jasmine tea because I enjoy the scent so much. But, you need to plant things that you enjoy the scent of. Luce is so sweet and very observant. She is doing so well feeding herself. And the foods you are giving her, are all very nutritious. She is learning from the start to love food in its natural state. The new fence is beautiful! They are just starting because their boy is just now sitting up, and then got a cold from his sister, so they were waiting until his congestion was gone. Just seconds after starting your vlog-our electricity came back on after being off for over 24 hours. My community only experienced power outage but sadly other locations experienced heartbreaking damage. Thank you for sharing your week with us - a lovely distraction. ❤ ❤ The fence looks great. There are fuzzy painting mittens that could make future detailed projects like this easier and faster. I know it will look lovely when you finish.
The fence looks nice! However, I think you should reconsider how it's attached. The plastic ties will degrade and crack over time. Perhaps sandwiching the wire fence between the new fence and another piece of wood would be stronger.
Wisteria is a very strong vine. It could easily destroy your lattice panels. It's best on really strong metal structures, & even then require advanced pruning skills to keep it under control. You might like a blend of roses, or check out the many types & colors of Clematis vines. There are also pretty annual vines to consider.
Love the lattice fence, the color is great, and it does add continuity to the wood siding on the house, though I have to agree with the comment above, maybe attaching them on the other side of the wire half fence, as the poles are anchored into the cement wall, that way if there is a strong wind, they will be held by the half wire fence. How about morning glory vines for the lattice?

We always ate with our children and gave them what we had, and now our four granddaughters have followed baby-led weaning, and have very healthy and wide ranging appetites! Luce is doing wonderfully and such a happy baby!

I do believe weaning is more a personal thing because you know your baby best. Years ago my girls had baby food from the store. I wish I knew better, but I can definitely teach my daughter when she has a baby. The fence came out beautifully. Today in the US is National Daughters Day. WOW! Beautiful fence. I'm so jealous that you got them all for such a great price. All that staining takes forever, but it really paid off. I think any way that you decide to finish it will be good. Your choice. I yelled at the screen when I saw that panel starting to fall. The baby is absolutely beautiful and clearly happy and healthy. It's very interesting to watch your evolution as parents and to hear about the different child rearing techniques that are out there.
Luce is just so fun to watch. She loves the camera because Mommy and Daddy always talk to it. I parented a baby 31 years ago and find it interesting with the bed on the floor and finger food first. I know you are doing what feels best for Luce and have all of this access to baby information that wasn't available when my boys were born and raised. My sons grew up healthy and fine and I expect Luce will too. I love watching your little family.

So glad you are safe after the earthquakes. Here in Atlantic Canada we just experienced hurricane Fiona. Just seconds after starting your vlog-our electricity came back on after being off for over 24 hours. My community only experienced power outage but sadly other locations experienced heartbreaking damage. Thank you for sharing your week with us - a lovely distraction. ❤ ❤ The fence looks great. Good morning from St. Augustine Florida. We are waiting for the hurricane to decide on its' route through the Gulf of Mexico. About the painting project. There are fuzzy painting mittens that could make future detailed projects like this easier and faster. I know it will look lovely when you finish.

The fence looks nice! However, I think you should reconsider how it's attached. The plastic ties will degrade and crack over time. Perhaps sandwiching the wire fence between the new fence and another piece of wood would be stronger.
Especially if you grow anything on the lattice wood as plants are very heavy. Wooden posts if they are permissible on the neighbours driveway?
Wisteria is a very strong vine. It could easily destroy your lattice panels. It's best on really strong metal structures, & even then require advanced pruning skills to keep it under control.
You might like a blend of roses, or check out the many types & colors of Clematis vines. There are also pretty annual vines to consider.

Love the lattice fence, the color is great, and it does add continuity to the wood siding on the house, though I have to agree with the comment above, maybe attaching them on the other side of the wire half fence, as the poles are anchored into the cement wall, that way if there is a strong wind, they will be held by the half wire fence. How about morning glory vines for the lattice?

Luce is the spitting image of my granddaughter at that age. With the same early vocalization and focus. She is now 8. I think Luce will be of high intelligence and a faster learner in school. I so live watching her. Sending love to you all during what has proved to be a challenging time.

Ciao tutti. I look forward to seeing your beautiful family every Sunday. I’m Italian as well. My family is from Bari. Luce is doing so well at eating. It’s such a better more healthier way to eat. I do believe weaning is more a personal thing because you know your baby best. Years ago my girls had baby food from the store. I wish I knew better, but I can definitely teach my daughter when she has a baby. The fence came out beautifully. Today in the US is National Daughters Day. We just post on Facebook pictures of our daughters (if you have one) and how blessed we are to have these precious girls in our lives. Love you guys! Ciao❤
Luce is absolutely wonderful and growing so fast. Solid food! And soon, teeth! My granddaughter just turned 5 months and is close to cutting her first tooth. I loved the video of Luce sleeping. It looked like she was dreaming. I wonder what babies dream of? And lastly, it was so cool to watch Luca and Luce together. Such a loving father. She'll do just fine with the both of you as her parents!
WOW! Beautiful fence. I'm so jealous that you got them all for such a great price. All that staining takes forever, but it really paid off. I think any way that you decide to finish it will be good. Your choice. I yelled at the screen when I saw that panel starting to fall. The baby is absolutely beautiful and clearly happy and healthy. It's very interesting to watch your evolution as parents and to hear about the different child rearing techniques that are out there.

Luce is just so fun to watch. She loves the camera because Mommy and Daddy always talk to it. I parented a baby 31 years ago and find it interesting with the bed on the floor and finger food first. I know you are doing what feels best for Luce and have all of this access to baby information that wasn't available when my boys were born and raised. My sons grew up healthy and fine and I expect Luce will too. I love watching your little family.
