I love Jay’s channel and have found a ton of amazing games through him. Plus the PGC discord. Waiting for my new Yokohama this week. I’ve also played Yokohama roll & write which is very good. I live in Tacoma and work in Seattle. Are you going to PAX West this weekend? I decided to go after I saw Oink would be there.
I bet you‘ll love res arcana. I find the base game already great for two people. Maybe the attack cards work better with more people. It’s one of my favorite games. Looking forward to the new drafting mechanism.
@@Neon_Gorilla because they aproach it with a 4x mindset, meaning they plan turns without knowning what's in their cards. instead of building strategy based on the cards in their hand.
I am just north of Seattle to be totally accurate. I just went to a new location for Zulus in lynnwood that has the biggest gaming area I have ever seen. We might be able to get a group together. I am not in any local groups and really only active in my discord at this point. I get lost in the big discords :)

We should find some time to play a game, we have similar tastes - Spirit Island, Arcs, Nucleum etc.! Not sure how to reach out on YT direct message though. My BGG UN is @adi_venturer! :)

I get what you’re going for with the scale, but personally I think it’s a little bit weird that you have a hype of 5 for a game you barely know anything about or feel anything towards. Maybe that should be a zero? Zero hype = not hyped, just not anti-hyped as well; negative hype = actively not interested. I think it would be clearer.

@@Neon_Gorilla I didn’t mean any game in particular. I just find it odd that you assign 5 as you neutral, “not here nor there” value for hype. I think it should be zero. No hype = 0. Low hype = low number. Actively not interested in a game = negative number.
@@FBracht you lost me at negative number to me that invalidates your scale :) 5 = vaguely interested 1 = no interest at all 10 = I can't stand not playing this and would sell a child to get it :)
@@Neon_Gorilla Well, it’s your show. :) Several scales (most of them?) allow for negative numbers. For me, they not only “not break” anything, but they also communicate a lot more clearly. If I tell you I’m at hype level 4 (of 5) for Leviathan Wilds, 0 for Yokohama, and -1 for Res Arcana Duo, I think I’m communicating really clearly that I can’t wait for the first, have no strong feelings for the second, and am slightly disinterested in the third.

I played Leviathan Wilds on TTS and absolutely loved it. I went all in on the 2nd printing campaign.

Snagged a copy of LW on eBay a couple of months ago before it was sold out everywhere. Like it a lot. I don’t think you’ll regret backing the KS.
