- In today’s segment, we’ll add moss to the display and secure it with isopropyl alcohol and a glue/water mixture.

Had to laugh when you said you guys left to run some errands. Cause of course 3 places popped in my mind! 😂 This vignette looks great, can’t wait to see it finished. Thanks for all the tutorials and inspiration.
Hahaha-I can assure you we hit two of the three! We may have a problem!?
Thanks for all these tutorial vids. It’s cool to see how others make their villages.
You’re welcome!!
So excited when you showed your "peek" into the witches' houses--we have 6 currently---LOVE the intricate detail on each one--I think they are some of the better crafted 56 pieces! Currently we have them out of the boxes--sitting on a table with a few trees sprinkled here and there...(It IS September so decorating for Halloween IS allowed now! LOL!) We cannot wait to see what you do and we will try to do the same....very very happy to see that you decided to buy this line of houses! As always, thank you SO much for the time and commitment you put into these videos--Hugs...
Haha-you’re late for decorating!! Yeah, I’m pretty excited for this series as well-still trying to figure out how I’ll display them!
I haven't even started building my display this year. I moved and rebuilding. Good tips!
Never too late to start! Thank you!!
What is the glue water ratio?
Probably about 75% water, 25% glue
Great tutorial.
Thank you!!
I am excited to see what you do with the witch pieces. I have several witch pieces but never seem to get inspired by them. Looking forward to your inspiration!
Yeah-I felt the same way…and then just really wanted to do something with them!!
Looking forward to your lighting video! I’m setting up my first large scale display this year. Lighting is one area where I know what I need to do, but would love to see the best practices from others.
Thank you-that video should be coming out this week!
Ah, Witch Hollow.... I have a few pieces, looking forward to your reviews/display. I highly recommend the Halloween Oak Tree #800028 for this series. I have one (wish I had more). This series has a lot of cool witch accessories as well - Fire Burn & Cauldron Bubble, Another Prince Croaks, Black Cat Snack, Witch Watch are some of my favorites.
Awesome! I’ll give the tree a look!!
“How to make a haunted tree for dept 56 village” by LegacyStation. You tube video. My husband made one for my witch village pieces. It was a hit! Now I have so many he is making a new one that will house 12 instead of 5. We are attaching “rope” bridges to each platform for a real witch community feel. The bridge is made out of twig fencing sold by Lemax. The platforms are bigger than the ones in the video to allow more decorating. I’m interested in knowing your plans for your houses. I’ve loved everything you have done so I’m sure you won’t disappoint! Thanks for the videos.
Awesome!! I’ll check out that video for sure! Feel free to post some photos-would love to see your display!!
Do you now prefer using the pva glue over hot glue to attach moss?
Yes…works better, takes longer to dry, but less expensive in the long run.
How much is to much? I have so many extras. My village looks cluttered. Do you have this problem?
Amy-it’s easy to do for sure! I try to keep my displays somewhat clean and uncluttered. Sometimes more is not a good thing!
Love it as usual! 🎃Is the PVA glue in the milk jug diluted any?
Thank you! Nope, the glue in the gallon jug is full strength.
