I learned from your video that an old cookie sheet in my kitchen just got a new life as a soldering base. another why didn't I think of that moment.

Way more organized than my working space! You mentioned a twin, my latest project was a F82 profile twin similar to 2 mustangs tie together. started with 2 2822-11kv motors but not enough zip to be impressive. Changed to 2826 -2200Kv and plenty of zip but ruined a battery 2200mh- 35 with each flight. Did a current check and pulling more than 50 amps. Took 6 hrs to program differential thrust ,some how sw a got set! Flys good but did manage to stall it turning in windy condition.

Thanks for the tour ED. Nice place to hang out. I wish I had a nice place like that. I go from the work bench to my bed. Then up out of bed straight to my workbench. Walls are covered with planes, and with my T45 90 mm EDF, Skywalker LRS plane, and MFD AAT on tripod in the middle of the room, I barely have room to walk out the door. Thanks for the tour. My tour would only last 2 minutes if even that. Keep up the great videos.

  • @rifted

YES! Agreed with Andrew! my work bench needs to be efficient, so I cant go so spread out! lol but thanks Ed! it realy gives ideas on how to improve my organization! lol
PS: See you at FliteFest 2016!
    Cheers!
    Ed

Thank you so much for all your videos. Congrats on your new location, I too have retired and moved closer to fam.. I have a large Gemini V2 under construction that I hope to use for Ag. mapping, so much for retirement. I just completed building my batteries for that that I thought you might find interesting. Each contains 60 Panasonic 18650 GA batteries in 3 cells that give me 12.87 V and approx. 70 amps that equate to about 4 hrs. flight time. I found the best price and service for these out of the Netherlands. For 125 Bats. delivered to Canada, taxes, freight and duties the bill was less than 500 Canadian Peso's. The last video notification I had from you was you Tat. removal, I hope all is well with you and yours, Billy in B.C., Canada

Nice shop Ed! I've really been enjoying your channel. Just built my first EA plane (photon) and it was awesome. I'm looking forward to building another EA plane (thinking the Ansley) and using some of your techniques on my own builds. Thanks for all of the great content and see you at Flite Test!!

Explain why you are in Richmond and not your home in Az. FlightFest 2016 must be in Richmond VA this year. Florida has much better weather. Try April, about the same time as Sun-N-Fun in Lakeland for the EAA. There is a Sailplane competition near Clermont that month too. Florida has some of the best flying weather.

Wow...great workshop.A couple of additions I'd make. That line of loose lipo batteries scares the hell out of me.Get a substantial metal tool box to store your batteries in.Also get a 10" x 15" Pyrex baking dish. You can put your batteries in the dish as they charge.A fire in the Pyrex baking dish is easier to deal with.Or use charging bags.I'd do the charging out on your main bench, rather than on the shelf.Flames won't reach the ceiling, but they will reach the bottom surface of the next shelf up.Since there are lipo batteries in the room, it goes without saying that a handy fire extinguisher is a must have.

Cool....I didn't know you lived in Richmond, VA. I am in Suffolk, VA. Great workshop. I am just getting started. Be watching a lot of Flite test Video and have several of their kits that I have assembled. And if it ever stop raining around here I hope to get to fly them soon.

Thanks for sharing. Always cool to see how others do things. Certain things one sees are aha moments where you say to yourself, "that's handy. I wanna do that". Hello from Roanoke on the other side of VA. I visit Richmond at least every quarter for work meetings etc.

Looks like your getting your new place under control, thanks for the tour Ed. Looking forward to some new planes and videos.
We've had months of daily high winds here so haven't done any flying, just slowly collecting bits and pieces to build a plane I've got going together in my head.
Thanks for all the great work you've done for the RC community my friend.
