Great conversion, flies amazing in that gusty wind! But as you were talking about improving form drag and then I see the V-tail servos straight up like a wall in the wind at 3:10 - that can't be optimal?
Why? V tails fly like ass. There is NOTHING to be gained by going to a V tail. The loss of drag is minimal especially considering the loss in overall flight performance.
I got to take the controls on a Beech Bonanza V-tail for a while in 2017. Ever since then, I have had a minor obsession with all things V-tail. Nice job.
Where do you get those pancake motors?
Awesome work and flying, Nathan! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

put a small capacitor on your 5v+ cable that powers the cam to get rid of the lines

Fantastic building and great maiden of the V tail. Jeff in LA USA
I think making the v tail 100-120 degree will perform well. What do you think?
Why are the ailerons the entire length of the wing?
Usually called strip ailerons in this case. Easy to attach and hinge etc. Laurie. NZ. 😊
Nice looking design. Great build.
