April, thank you for the swatch, the colors are striking and the tip seems easy to manipulate on the page. I've been wanting this set for a while now, but haven't clicked buy yet. I'm looking forward to seeing you work with these, especially since using them full strength seems to produce streaking on the page. Is it best to layer them while wet or should the first layer be dry? Did you create the swatch sheet or did find it online? I like how the colors are laid out, each major color in a column. I'm a swatch and chart maniac, I like organizing colors in interesting ways so I can choose a palette. Lisa
I usually layer them while still slightly wet. It is the way I use any water-based medium. This swatch sheet is one that I created. I'm a bit of a nerd like that. Feel free to use it if you would like. All the swatch sheets that I've created are linked in the description. Use them to your heart's content! I have both the 108 Tombow chart up there and my original 96 as well.
Which one do you like the most: the Crayola supertips or the Tombows? I am using my waterbased markers a lot lately and I would like to 'invest' in a big set with a great variety of colors.
I know I am bit late, but if you didn't bought them yet and still planing to buy them, you can get a set of all the 108 colors on Amazon. Unfortunately they aren't the same price as they were a few years ago ( they cost around $270 I think ), but yet, they are still cheaper on Amazon than on other websites or on the original Tombow website.
Tysm for the swatches so helpfull😍😍😊
This really helped me pick out the colors I want to complement my very small collection :) Thanks

I prefer the Tombows because I like the brush tip much more. It makes it easier for blending when I don't want hard stops and starts of color.
my new visual stim!!!!!!!
Really helpfull Tysm!!!

approximately how much did it cost to purchase all 108 of the brush pens???
The 96 set cost me around $140 and the new 12 set cost me around $40. So around $180 all together or $1.67 per pen.
