Cindy White, Attendance Secretary - Falcon Elementary School of Technology

“I love being like the ‘auntie’ to all the students, and watch them grow through the years and see how they change and mature and learn so much,” says Cindy White, attendance secretary at Falcon Elementary School of Technology. “I wouldn’t change it for the anything - I really love working here.”
White grew up in Dallas, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington, about 30 minutes west. During the past 25 years, she has traveled around the country with her husband Joe, an active duty Air Force colonel. They had two children.
White started assisting District 49 schools in 2006, as a secretary at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. But in 2009, she transitioned to Hawaii with her military family. She returned in 2012 to Colorado Springs, where she joined the students and faculty of Falcon Elementary School of Technology.
“I really enjoy helping the students and staff as much as possible,” said White, “and it’s very important to me that I help welcome the parents and make sure that they feel comfortable here, and that they know that they’re leaving their child in a safe, comfortable, happy place.”
“As a military spouse, I know how hard it is to move to a new school - it’s scary, whether you’re the parent or the child - and I try to ease that transition.”
In her spare time, White enjoys “being creative,” staying organized and hiking the foothills.
