      Saw him once. Never a huge Dead fan, don't get me wrong I like them alot, but Jerry is hands down top 5 guitarists of all time.

    Lesh is hilarious at the end of this song, its like hes telling the funniest jokes ever on his bass. The band is looking pretty serious and hes over there listening to a stand up comedian and he can hear the punch line, we can only feel it.

    That solo is just fucking amazing. That figure that Jerry plays at 2'21'-2'25" is brilliant... something that no one but Jerry would think of.

      As good as he is when you watch a bunch of these they start to sound the same.
      The Dead played for stoned audiences who could never tell the difference.
      They were still awesome and fun though!
      Had great times at their shows!

    I'm not a huge Dead fan, I respect them ALOT, but this solo is f-ing fantastic. I cannot stop listening to it. RIght at 1:43 = Goosebumps.

      Have you heard the Cornell version? 5/8/77? The hottest solo this song has ever seen. You can find it on UA-cam. So so so so good. My Spotify recap told me i played that version 256 times in 2022 😂

    Great song and the solo gives me goosebumps. The bit at 2:14 when the guitar note seems to break/ ring through (i'm not an expert) is just beautiful. Superb.
