I drove alone to another state this weekend.. My car broke down. Had to get a taxi and stay in this town until car gets repaired. Watched this video in my hotel. I was feeling very down. To pass the time I went to Walmart and saw the white coat you modeled and I smiled. Thank you for helping us in ways you might not be aware of.
You know, when I was about five years old, I saw Marilyn Monroe on television and became totally enchanted. I told my mom about the beautiful lady and how much I adored her. For years after that it became a tradition for my mom to gift me some kind of little Marilyn Monroe item here and there. My mom is gone now, but when I see Marilyn I think of my mom also, and that sweet little tradition she kept up for all of those years. Now I think I will gift myself a Marilyn robe this Christmas. :)
Oh I love this! MM is 'my' actress, also. One time, when my Daddy went on vacation to Niagara Falls - no, I didn't get the travel trinket that everybody else did: I got a Marilyn Monroe plaque that says Niagara Falls ;> It's on my wall right now!

I don't understand why Susan is suppose to be the one who has to move. It's a new day. Woman shouldn't have to give up what they have and follow the man. She has a pretty place where she is and her surroundings outside are beautiful. Her Grandkids are a part of her and her son. She shouldn't have to leave it all behind. He can come visit her if he wants too. This is so new. It needs to be taken slow. Like Susan has said, her goal is to get a nice little house with a yard for her dog Desi and Grandkids. I agree with Melinda! My first inclination was to “say yes,” because it’s what women of our age do! But then Susan answered honestly, and I thought, how refreshing! And why do we, as women, have to take on men’s lives, and incorporate our lives into theirs?! Our lives matter, our lives are meaningful and important as well! Living out-of-state just isn’t the same as living nearby. If my grandmother had lived out of state, we wouldn’t have had the incredibly strong bond we had, we never would have attained the level of intimacy we experienced, and we wouldn’t have been best friends! She was my soulmate and savior. I lived nearby. She had grandchildren that lived out-of-state, they were practically strangers… Much affection from the city of Detroit! Linda

I worked in film and tv production for 25 yrs and did a film with KENNY ROGERS. He was a very kind man and his brother Leland was even nicer and we became friends. Your videos are high quality and I see the work you put in from a production viewpoint. Keep up the great work. Remember Grandchildren grow up and stop having time for the older ones in their life. Loved this video and it's so nice to see how you talked about your date. You were smiling so much that I could tell you really liked him. I'm surprised he asked you that question so soon, but it must mean he could be serious about you. As much as you really want to live near your grandchildren, it can be difficult. I am 76 and lived in California for most of my life. I met my forever husband 16 years ago and 11 years ago, we moved to Idaho, because my one daughter, and three grandchildren, moved there a few years before. My other daughter and her three children live in Arizona. So, I have learned that you can't always live near your children and grandchildren your whole life. We take frequent flights to visit them often. Now, four of my grandchildren are old enough to move away to school or just live somewhere else. You're younger than me and you never know what might happen in the next 10 or 20 years. You don't have to make any decisions now and you might feel differently in time 💖

Hi Susan Desi in his Christmas cap, It doesn’t get any cuter I have that hair accessory, I also stoped blowing my hair out. I have naturally curly hair, I use a hair mask twice weekly, and after I wash my hair I wrap it up in a soft tee shirt until it is dry, then I use the heated brush. I stopped wearing makeup 10 years ago. I put a moisturizer on my face a little lipgloss and do my eyebrows and that’s it. I have salt and pepper here mostly pepper and I am 71. I’m all Italian my skin is olive and I’ve been taking care of my skin since I was a teenager and moisturizing my body since I was a teenager. So I guess that helps😀 I am going to look into the natural products that you advertised. I would love to put a bowtie on Otis but he’ll have no part of that thank you very much. Hello again my Michigan sister :) I love birds (all animals), dainty fine jewelry (no clodhopper jewelry for me), old Hollywood, etc too! The white jacket looks extra pretty on you...just had to tell you that. Don't do it! Don't move out of state for a man! As you know I'm just moving back home to Michigan (born and raised in Grand Rapids) after living in Kentucky for 16 years. It's not as easy to move out of state and especially to move back as some people make it seem. After selling our house in KY starting early this year (March) putting it on the market and selling it, doing renovations on our MI house and finding my hubby a good MI job...and then finally (8 months later) making the big move back home to the mitten this past Sept...I'm happy to say I'm sitting in my new living room in Michigan (which we still need to paint ;) on my 60th Birthday today. There's no place like home...

I have to agree with what you said at the beginning of the video. My Birthday is on Dec 14, so Christmas was always special but my mother died on Nov 2019 2 days before Thanksgiving and since that every Xmas is a little sadder.

I’ll always remember the Christmas when I didn’t celebrate because my husband and I had COVID19. I will always remember a Christmas time when I hadn’t seen my parents in two years. I could only sit and watch the Christmas lights of everyone else’s houses but I didn’t have a house.

I drove alone to another state this weekend.. My car broke down. Had to get a taxi and stay in this town until car gets repaired. Watched this video in my hotel. I was feeling very down. To pass the time I went to Walmart and saw the white coat you modeled and I smiled. Thank you for helping us in ways you might not be aware of.
You know, when I was about five years old, I saw Marilyn Monroe on television and became totally enchanted. I told my mom about the beautiful lady and how much I adored her. For years after that it became a tradition for my mom to gift me some kind of little Marilyn Monroe item here and there. My mom is gone now, but when I see Marilyn I think of my mom also, and that sweet little tradition she kept up for all of those years. Now I think I will gift myself a Marilyn robe this Christmas. :)

I agree with Melinda! My first inclination was to “say yes,” because it’s what women of our age do! But then Susan answered honestly, and I thought, how refreshing! And why do we, as women, have to take on men’s lives, and incorporate our lives into theirs?! Our lives matter, our lives are meaningful and important as well! Living out-of-state just isn’t the same as living nearby. If my grandmother had lived out of state, we wouldn’t have had the incredibly strong bond we had, we never would have attained the level of intimacy we experienced, and we wouldn’t have been best friends! She was my soulmate and savior. I lived nearby. She had grandchildren that lived out-of-state, they were practically strangers… Much affection from the city of Detroit! Linda

Loved this video and it's so nice to see how you talked about your date. You were smiling so much that I could tell you really liked him. I'm surprised he asked you that question so soon, but it must mean he could be serious about you. As much as you really want to live near your grandchildren, it can be difficult. I am 76 and lived in California for most of my life. I met my forever husband 16 years ago and 11 years ago, we moved to Idaho, because my one daughter, and three grandchildren, moved there a few years before. My other daughter and her three children live in Arizona. So, I have learned that you can't always live near your children and grandchildren your whole life. We take frequent flights to visit them often. Now, four of my grandchildren are old enough to move away to school or just live somewhere else. You're younger than me and you never know what might happen in the next 10 or 20 years. You don't have to make any decisions now and you might feel differently in time 💖

I have that hair accessory, I also stoped blowing my hair out. I have naturally curly hair, I use a hair mask twice weekly, and after I wash my hair I wrap it up in a soft tee shirt until it is dry, then I use the heated brush. I can’t imagine not having it, it takes all frizz away, and makes it possible for me not to blow dry my hair…

I stopped wearing makeup 10 years ago. I put a moisturizer on my face a little lipgloss and do my eyebrows and that’s it. I have salt and pepper here mostly pepper and I am 71. I’m all Italian my skin is olive and I’ve been taking care of my skin since I was a teenager and moisturizing my body since I was a teenager. So I guess that helps😀 I am going to look into the natural products that you advertised. I would love to put a bowtie on Otis but he’ll have no part of that thank you very much. Hello again my Michigan sister :) I love birds (all animals), dainty fine jewelry (no clodhopper jewelry for me), old Hollywood, etc too! The white jacket looks extra pretty on you...just had to tell you that. Don't do it! Don't move out of state for a man! As you know I'm just moving back home to Michigan (born and raised in Grand Rapids) after living in Kentucky for 16 years. It's not as easy to move out of state and especially to move back as some people make it seem. After selling our house in KY starting early this year (March) putting it on the market and selling it, doing renovations on our MI house and finding my hubby a good MI job...and then finally (8 months later) making the big move back home to the mitten this past Sept...I'm happy to say I'm sitting in my new living room in Michigan (which we still need to paint ;) on my 60th Birthday today. There's no place like home...

I have to agree with what you said at the beginning of the video. My Birthday is on Dec 14, so Christmas was always special but my mother died on Nov 2019 2 days before Thanksgiving and since that every Xmas is a little sadder.

I’ll always remember the Christmas when I didn’t celebrate because my husband and I had COVID19. I will always remember a Christmas time when I hadn’t seen my parents in two years. I could only sit and watch the Christmas lights of everyone else’s houses but I didn’t have a house.
