Susan, I just can’t tell you how much I look forward to each new posting. I’m 73, a nurse administrator and let myself be talked into helping in a different state for “three months”. Well, now it’s been 7 months and I’m missing the Christmas season with my husband and two dogs. Very lonely but I think our generation holds to commitment and I can’t now just walk out. So, that being said, you have kept me company through all of this. You are with me when I get ready in the morning and sometimes in the lonely evenings. It is so much fun seeing Desi, going to the stores with you, decorating, cooking, and all the things I love to do as well. You are a sweet, good soul and I appreciate your thoughts and sweet smile. Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing you in 2022. Annie
This brought tears to my eyes. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage, commitment and big heart to help your fellow Americans. I can just picture you so clearly..working so hard under such grueling conditions..and missing home for Christmas. You make me want to move mountains for you to make this right...but all I can do is tell you how much I admire you and how much you have inspired me today with your story to be a better more giving person. Merry Christmas to you Ann....every minute you spend working you are saving a life. Not many people can say that. You are a true hero.
I’m a nurse too but retired after 35 years of intense nursing. I admire that you are working still! Be kind to yourself and do something special for yourself every day! You deserve it. I agree, Susan and Desi are great company.💖
Susan, thank you and Desi for another heartwarming video 💕 I literally cried at the end when I saw you brought the beat-up snowman home from the thrift store. I was hoping you would as he couldn't find a more loving home than with you and Desi! A friend told me about your you-tube channel a couple months ago, so I'm new to learning more about you. Thank you for sharing your personal life with us about your birth-father, your brother and sister, and finding Bill before he passed, as those are videos I will go back to watch. I have seen a video of your precious Cooper, who was there for you at the beginning of this journey. I know Cooper can never be replaced in your heart, but you sure found another precious bond in Desi when you brought home that new little love in your life. Desi has certainly stole my heart too and I look forward to seeing the both of you every Saturday. Bless you both ☃🎄😇
You are so kind!! I called my girlfriend and told her I was crying over leaving a snowman in the thrift store.! Well I grabbed him.....I think we all want to save the world...the tattered and the discarded...they need our love most of all...Merry Christmas!!!
@@LittlePoet You're such a naturally gifted storyteller .......and so adept at evoking emotion from your subscribers. Of course I teared up too when I saw the snowman all warm & cozy in your home. Your description of the tattered and discarded snowman literally brought him to life for us.
I love that you gave the little snowman a home. He sat there patiently while others passed him by just waiting for you to save him. Merry Christmas Susan. Beth
A film class! You’re taking a film class. Why? You should be teaching the class! No one has a better grasp on beauty or composition like you do. Truly. I love everything about your videos.
May God bless you and Desi My husband the father of my four children passed away after 44 years of marriage and I lost everything and moved in with my son and I lost most of my mind my panic attacks agoraphobia depression but my son and daughter talked me into making a UA-cam channel just so I could talk to other mature women like yourself I've been watching you for years never had the courage to even comment until I started commenting on O'Carroll's show Love you so much your videos are beautiful you couldn't possibly make them any better they're unbelievable we love them and we love you Mary Merry Christmas 😍❤️❤️❤️🙏
@@reneeschroeder5583 if you need me to make a video about it I will you will get better I promise! I've made it to 73 living like this 🙏🙏❤️❤️ God bless you Merry Merry Christmas♥️♥️♥️
I found your channel by accident as I’ve been fighting to regain my health. I watched your videos for a number of weeks before believing in your authenticity and finally subscribing! I’m not sure who’s cuter; you or Desi! ❤️ Thank you for your part in my healing and offering a safe environment for a person to just relax and be themselves! It means a lot 😇💕🌲
Get well soon. Yes Susan is the real thing. One year I wrote her about my husbands passing and so many new beginnings I was being forced into and she made parts of it into her video. Because we all face our own challenges. God bless.
Oh my gosh, Susie we ARE family!!!! I am honored I was the first person to give you shout out, I do a good thing when I see it. You know Mr, Copper stole my heart too. It is wonderful you have been able to touch so many people. Love Nathalie, and Laura. We've been together about seven years, and it's been a journey. Thank you for the lovely words. Your home looks beautiful, and Desi so handsome (and hungry, lol). As usual, this was such a lovely video. Blessings, and love for you, and The Dez...Mimi P.S. I up because I am watching my grandson play basketball. You were a lovely half time show for me, now back to basketball!!
Oh thank you for explaining why you are up so late little girl!!!! I hope your grandson is making those hoops!!!! I had so much fun talking about you! I wanted that montage to go on forever!!! Thank you for everything...we have been through so much in these 7 years...you were the class of 2014 and I am the class of 2015....but you took pity on the freshman and I think you for helping me touch the world...Love to you and a Very Merry Christmas to you and Jim!!! xo Susan & Dez
I want to come to your house, have tea and bread, and just sit in your magical space, and listen to you talk, for hours. I'd do some talking, yoo! Probably, quite a bit!!! So beautiful. You provide us with a fairy world, full of warmth and whimsy. Hugs.
I remember crying my eyes out when Cooper died. I loved watching you and him looking out the window at end of your videos. I was so happy when Desi entered your life. I am amazed at your wonderful decorating skills. ...For me,, this Christmas is filled with hope that I will become more healthy and see many more Christmases. I'm recovering from a triple bypass and am so grateful I survived. Christmas is a new beginning for me. . It is so kind of you to make John the bread he loves. That's what Christmas is all about. I wish I could shop at thrift stores with you. I wish I could snuggle with Desi. Bless you, and your wonderful kindness to others.
Oh Susan, I don't know how your videos could be any better, they are just amazing little stories that could stand alone but you somehow weave them together. I am always happy when I see that you have a new one up. You and Desi have a wonderful week.
I'm glad that you bought the poor snowman, I would have too. And, crying is good, makes your soul feel lighter afterward... Thank you for being here Susan!
So happy you bought the snowman! Now, lessons learned. I learned that people really do value me, for me. I hadn't believed it, until lately, when I started a project that forced me to look at myself, physically, while just being the real me. Susan, you've helped me, so much, to step out and be the real me, raw, and real! And, yep, with tears, and laughter, and all the things that make up the souls we are. It's made me come to terms with no longer allowing anyone into my life who is going to try to manipulate me, and take me for granted. Of course, that's because I no longer take myself for granted. I'm 66, and this is, indeed, my Route 66 year, where I'm travelling down a highway that's cool, where I can get my kicks, and really start enjoying life! Merry Christmas to you and your sweet Desi, and to your family!!! May it be wonderful!
@@Xzyu2 John was her neighbor for several years, at her old apartment, whom wanted to date her ( too much an age difference, ' I think ) so kiddingly she calls him "the man whom hates her" - B/c she wouldn't date him. 🌲
You are the only one on UA-cam that brings me a smile! I’m not well and on disability and live with someone for 17 years long that is so verbally abusive I must start over at 61. He has money and unfortunately I don’t so my daughter has decided to stay with him. Life isn’t always fair, but we just move on and have faith. Best to all!💕🌲💕 My life has been such a struggle like yours Susan and I feel if you can do it, so can I.
I have been through all of it. Take care of your body, your mind & your soul. We don’t get much time here. I don’t think getting older means we have things figured out any better or that our lives will be any better or any worse. That we will be any more or less lonely or afraid. They don’t tell you that. To be 61 is very different now than when our mothers & grandmothers were 61. I am 63 & I’m carrying on the same as if I were 30. Certain things are different, but we don’t know if we will be here for 1 more year or for 30. God be be near to you. Comfort any animals that you can.
@@rs5570 The worst part is that I’m not well! I can’t do to much since I have so much pain when I do. The best I can do is move on and manage a tiny place on my own. I think the stress here is too much for me to live with!💕😊💕 Thank you for your thoughts.
@@tammydietschweiler7852 hey Tammy, for sure you will feel better being out of that abusive relationship! Take a big deep breath of fresh, beautiful, positive air! Good thoughts & loving prayers to you!🎀
Oh Sues, I'm crying with you. I've been blessed to get to know you girls on UA-cam. You're all such lovely ladies full of love. And I can see why they shouted you out. And we are so lucky that they did. I love the centerpiece you created. You have such a beautiful eye for that. And I knew, like me, that you were going to bring that little Snowman home. He's adorable, rough around the edges, but he's full of character. He looks perfect with your centerpiece. I should have known to have a tissue box beside me. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful self with us. What would we do without you? I don't ever want to know that. I hope you are enjoying the holiday season, which seems to be flying by. I wish it would slow down a little. You and Desi have a good week. Thankyou again. Sending you a big hug 🤗 and much ❤, Mary xoxo
We have been through so much together Susan! You are so incredibly talented. I loved you from the moment I saw your first video. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you said. MaryEllen and Nathalie have also been so good to me. What a blessing you have been in my life. Love you always!❤️
I had so much fun talking about how we met and the chance you took all those years ago....almost 7 years!!! I am so thrilled for your success and I just love watching you dance..the talent is just so incredible! And your big heart...you do the best makeup videos on UA-cam...you told me last year what the real dupe for Pillow Talk was!!! - but it's your heart that keeps me coming back...I can't wait to see your future! Love you to the moon and back! xo Susan & Dez PS: I forgot to say how pretty you are...!!!! How you can transform into any look!!
I never felt like I was taking a chance because I could see how gifted and talented you are. Every video you create evokes so many feelings. We are all blessed by your beauty, talent and creativity! Love you!
I knew that you couldn’t leave that little snowman behind. He is a reminder of what we all have gone through. I think that he is adorable. I enjoy your videos so much. So much to think about and try. Thank you for giving. ❤️
I love Mary Ellen. She is a lovely and giving person. Grateful for you, Mary Ellen and a few others I follow. You can never have too many friends. Oh yes, Desi too. P. S. I am 66 years old and watching the original Rudolph the Reindeer. Just takes me back to my childhood and the excitement of Christmas. You are never too old to relive wonderful memories. Merry Christmas my friend.
Oh Susan, you don't need to take a film class. You could teach the film class. I'm always in awe of your videography. I always look forward to your videos. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Susan I want to let you know how special you are to me❤️ I feel very blessed to have found you years ago and feel like your family. God Bless You and Desi😘
Susan, you will never know just how much that I look forward to and enjoy your videos. I have been watching since you first got Desi, and I just LOVE your beautiful scenery, the thrift store items you show, and the ones you bring home. And of course, being a dog mom as well, I love Desi!! I appreciate you sharing from your heart. What you discuss is so many times just what I needed to hear. And if it is a subject that doesn't really apply to me, I can appreciate that you are reaching people who DO need it!! Since I was an only child, I do understand your growing up alone. So much that you say about that resonates with me. I mostly watch you on my smart TV, so you haven't seen more than one or two in the past, but for this one, I had to comment. Thank you for sharing from the heart every week, and thank you for the recipes. I can't wait to try them!!. BTW, the centerpiece is gorgeous!!! God bless you always for the place you have in my heart. Merry Christmas, happy new year, and abundant blessings in 2022 and always.
Another sweet and thoughtful video Sues...you made the most beautiful centerpiece.. honestly you have a talent for putting pretty things together in a way that I can't tear my eyes away from them. I ran into a darling girlfriend who I'd lost touch with this year and I thought I was having a glass of wine and a salad alone but there she was and we sat at the bar and laughed and cried and hugged and honestly, we couldn't be more different, but our friendship is so easy, sincere and nonjudgmental, that I cherish her. I had slept poorly last night, awakened by what I call night terrors, fears both rational and irrational, prayed and asked for sunshine today and a small change in a positive direction, just for renewed hope in 2021 and when I walked into the darling little restaurant, there was my sweet friend Ava, who had a son that she feels the same way I do about mine and I've never been so thankful to see a precious face. No one can make me believe God isn't listening to us when we need something so simple yet so profound as another soul to connect with. Merry Christmas to you and Desi honey and you've made such a cozy inviting place for your family. ❤️🎄🤗🙏
I totally believe you Karen, I cease to be amazed at how my prayers are answered by God. In very real and obvious ways, and the timing is incredible. It seems these days, it is not very long of a wait when you truly hand things over to God and pray so sincerely from your heart. It makes it easier to believe as these answered prayers build on top of each other so it gets easier to believe and ask in faith with positive expectancy.
@@starsparkle999 . Nail on the head Linda, praying from the heart. We've got some weighty ones right now and together with the one a year ago for my precious son's life, these right this moment will define our faith and will surely pull others up with us who are clueless. Merry Christmas to you Sweetie and blessings to your family and those you love..🙏❤️🤗🎄
Each time I watch one of your videos, I feel a warmth that you feel with an old friend. I absolutely love how peaceful it is here. No matter what. Your place looks beautiful 😍! I love that you're in the spirit of Christmas! Have a wonderful week! Oh, as far as lessons I have learned, it's got to be patience and learning when to let go. I won't go into why but I learned these things. Also to take opportunities to share your feelings with people because you never know if you'll get a chance to again.
I learned that I do not fear death in 2021. Covid taught me that little lesson. Surprised me as much as anyone. Sues, you could teach video making. You reach right into the heart and touch us every week. You know I love you.
Susan, you always life my spirits with your love, wisdom and encouragement. Thank you from my heart. The biggest truth I learned in 2021 is that dreams can come true. Last week, we finished moving to a sweet cottage, just a few miles from our kids and grandkids. I'm a cancer patient (doing well right now!) but I've learned to treasure every single day. I hoped and prayed to be able to live nearer our family so I could get to know my granddaughter and the baby that is coming next month!!! God in his goodness and grace, answered my prayer and I am incredibly moved by His generosity. I hope and pray you and Desi continue to enjoy this wonderful season! BTW I adore that little, raggedy snowman you adopted. Good for you!!
Susan, when I put your channel on today and your voice started my Mainecoon cat started running into the room with her full fluffy high tail - I think she loves your channel also! Who knew?? I’ve learned this year to take each day as it comes - and do what I can to enjoy despite living in the same house with my 96 year old Dad. I’m still working as a young looking 65 and that helps - and I go for walks on weekends with friends and try to just let him do what he wants. He craves independence and doesn’t want anyone telling him what to do and that including turning the TV down lol. Doesn’t want anything changed in the house so my decorating and remodeling is very minimal for now. He drives, grocery shops, and cooks for himself. I take him to his eye appointments because he won’t drive the highway and I wouldn’t want him to. So I try not to lose my patience because it only makes things worse. I’m thankful for a brother who fully understands also. I focus on dressing up each day - makeup. my stamp collection and taking care of my cat.
Those earrings look so beautiful on you! Susan, I have been a You Tube viewer for 3.5 years, since I retired & I believe that we choose the creators we follow much more by their personality & ability to connect with the audience, rather than the quality of their videos. You are already doing well. Self improvement is good if you are doing it for yourself. We are already happy with your progress!
Sometimes the Holidays can be the saddest of times...so many losses, family and friends. Your beautiful little videos spark joy and imagination and bring childlike wonder to the Season. Thanks for sharing your beautiful insights Susan! Blessings to you and Desi from Canada.
I've learned that I can decorate the house for me, I don't need guests to appreciate it. I love Mary-Ellen over 60, too. I've been there with you through much of your UA-cam journey. I lovingly remember Cooper. Wishing You and Desi a Merry Christmas! You got the snowman!!!! Merry Christmas!
Hi Susan. Hello sweet Desi! Susan, you definitely have the soul of an artist! The coffee table centerpiece is so pretty! And, I’d love to try your nut breads. You know, you said that you are a crier. Well so am I. And at times I get so annoyed with myself because I cannot control myself! This time of year is hard for lots of people- me included. I find that I’m depressed at a time when I should be rejoicing. When I’m depressed I cannot create anything at all. I wish you were my neighbor! I’d love to get to know you and that sweet boy, Desi in person. Merry Christmas to you both. I’m so glad I found your channel. Xxoo I look forward to seeing you each Saturday. Oh! I’m so glad you brought Mr. Snowman home! He was longing to go with you to his forever home! ♥️
Omg, he hugged you! " We're all are a little beat up. We all are full of love, hope, and passion to live this life to its fullest. A little love goes a very long way.“. Indeed!
Darn it Susan you always make me cry…your words touch me so So glad you bought the snowman, all he needed was a home and some TLC he looks so much cuter What I have learned is to appreciate good health, the last 9 months I have been in a lot of pain, I herniated two disc, and doing so I have had sciatic pain, there were days I could hardly walk… I’m getting better and I see a light at the end of the tunnel, but it has taught me to appreciate every step I take, and how glorious it is to wake up, and not limp into the kitchen to get my coffee. I will never take walking for granted again. Susan your hair looks beautiful, just wanted to tell you that you are glowing. Have a wonderful week both you and Desi xo
Oh Christina...a very special thank you to you for all you have done for me this past year. Always here being so supportive...sharing your life stories and opening up my eyes to new things. @@LittlePoet Merry Christmas to you and Desi and family…. We are kindred spirits you and I….. we are very much alike in so many ways, even your baking John the cake that he likes, I would have done that as well. Love always xo
Oh Susan, I love your home and the way you decorate it! It's the kind of home I would love to live in :) The most important lesson I've learned in 2021 is always put God first. If you place God first in your life, everything else will fall into place. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and God bless you!
I haven't been with you as long as others. But long enough to be hooked on you and Desi. You have come up and out of so much. I am so glad you get to see you son and grandchildren for Christmas. I am going to see mine. They were traveling in an RV last year with my granddaughters. 15 and 13. I missed them so much. We only have one daughter and she is everything to us. So they will be here and I am glad this is only the 2nd year since my Mom died. Our hearts really hurt at holiday's. She loved holiday food. I look so forward to seeing you on Saturday nights. When you are a little late I think what is going on? I hope she is ok? I guess that is what happens when you feel like family. You put so much into your presents. I will be more thoughtful. thank you. Joyce

I am so glad you pursued your dream. Keep being yourself and sharing your life with us. Love to you and Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your shopping Christmas tips. I was invited to a little Christmas lunch where we were to exchange gifts. Thanks to your tips I was able to shop in our local thrift stores and found things to pull together, making a perfectly lovely gift. I never would have thought of doing this without you ♡♡♡

Susan, one video a week is just not enough and on top of that they are way to short. I am so blessed by finding your content this year. Enjoy your holiday season with family and your little gangsta!
So many others have already said this but I'm glad you gave that little snowman a home. I knew you would as soon as you talked about him:) I don't really have any lessons learned to share. Christmas is always bittersweet for me since losing my 9 year old daughter in 1986. But God blessed me with two wonderful grandchildren (now teens) that have brought joy back to Christmas. My heart always aches a little though for those I know who are hurting at Christmas, so I try to remember to say prayers for them. This video was so sweet....it's always such a blessing to have people to believe in you...and I know all of them appreciate your sweet words about them. Your bread looks delish and the centerpiece turned out lovely:)
Your videos, full of your unique charm and authenticity, are chicken soup for the soul. I love my Saturday visits with my friend Susan. Lovely job on the coffee table arrangement.
I'm happy to see you gave that little raggedy snow man a home. He looks happy now and so do you! You are one of the first UA-cam ladies I followed and I really enjoy your photography. i still have the little speaker, sleep machine I won during one of your give aways. Your messages are always inspirational. Be well...hugs from Ohio :)
Susan, what a touching video, I just adore you and Desi. I'm 71 and I've learned being kind to each other and staying humble are good things. May your Christmas be merry.
I'm 34 and a Michigander. You remind me of my aunt's on my mom's side. I always enjoy your videos. This is my first Christmas as a widow thanks to Covid. Me and my little girl plan on having a happy Christmas in spite of our grief. We pray the same for you and Desi. I really admire your resilience and life advice.
You reap what you sow.. Most think that as a negative. You are the positive proof, when you walk in love, light, kindness, and compassion. That will let you reap as you have sown. And Ma'am you have done it WELL. Wishing you a happy and joyous holiday season.

Hi Susan:) in August I went to a Phil Collins concert with my youngest son. We drove to North Carolina from central FL and we had the time of our lives! We had purchased the tickets almost a year in advance. When we got back I was sicker than I had ever been in my life! My home was decorated to the max with fall decorations! I was so weak my son and his dog moved in and nursed me back to health. On Christmas morning that year I finally managed to finish putting the fall decor away and I brought out a little tree and got it up just b4 we had our Christmas dinner. I’ll never forget that Christmas. My son cooked Prime Rib and yummy mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. We toasted with 2 bottles of champagne! Love all ur chats😊❤️💛Julie xo
Susan during 2021 part of me wanted to live in a pandemic state of mind where I saved the best food in the freezer or my good candle for "later". But it is right to give ourselves the best part right now, as the great Erma Bombeck wrote about not saving things for later but use the good silver now. I want to stop and smell the roses now instead of waiting for the perfect day to enjoy flowers. Merry Christmas to you and Desi.
I'm grateful for you and Desi. I'm over 60 and live alone the last two years. Noone visits but I go visit my adult kids and gkids...I get uplifted when I watch you every week ❤️👍thankyou so much🤗
Hi Susan, love decorating for Christmas bought myself a golden bling Santa, battery flame candles, cherubs and artificial flowers for my birthday. Feels so good adding special pieces around. My lesson I have learnt lately this year is not to take everything so personally. My new perspective is "It's none of my business what others think or say about me. I can only control how I respond and what I do. I have learnt to disengage from negative people and their judgements and behaviors. I observe it, learn from it, see if there's anything I need to change and move on without internal beatup's. I have learnt to get up like a duck out of water, shake it off and change the ending. Make it less, a minor nothing instead of a major head game. Desi looked extra cute today love to you both and happy spreading of good cheer.
Your Christmas center piece looks really beautiful. Your friend/other neighbor will love his orange nut cake and the train decoration. We all appreciate and love you and Desi.Makes my week to sit back and watch your video.♡Merry Christmas to you and Desi.♡
I am in my 50s and widowed, and somehow your channel came into my UA-cam feed... Watching your channel is like snuggling up to a fireplace, in PJs with a tea and my puppies.. I so love your channel and all that you share. I love your enthusiasm,, creativity and how heart-connected you are--it really shines through.
Thank you Susan. I can’t imagine how much work goes into this. This is a very hard time for me. Seeing you is very important to me always, but especially now. God bless you.
I am finding myself looking forward to Little Poet on the weekend. You make me take time for myself, to sit with a cup of tea, and visit you and Desi. It makes me a little teary to try to explain what I feel about Christmas, but here goes: When I was growing up, we had a silver, pom-pom Christmas tree. Every year, I would drag it from the basement, up the stairs to the living room, and decorate it. All by myself. My sister wasn't interested. My mother was busy, or working. My parents were divorced, so there was no Daddy in my home. Every year, it was just me, and the tree. I plugged in the color-wheel when the tree was decorated, and admired all of the colors; running outside to the front yard, to see what it looked like from there. Your attention to the little things, the pretty things, reminds me of why I did it. Even though I did it alone. I understand, and I feel like we all understand. This is such a nice, warm place to visit. It makes up for the times that I did it alone. I am comfortable with doing, and being alone. Sometimes, there aren't words. But there is the little snowman. There will always be (in my memory) the silver, pom-pom Christmas tree, and now there's Little Poet. Thank God for the most precious Gift. We understand that too.
Hi Susan. I'm Colleen from Knoxville, TN. I'm still learning how to live without my son that I lost two years ago. His birthday is tomorrow, Dec. 18, 2021. He would have been 47. But instead he is Forever 44. (He died 4 months before his 45th birthday.) It doesn't get easier. It just becomes more tolerable. Really not even that. A part of me died with him. I think as a mother you just become better at hiding the pain. I don't know why I'm sharing this with you. I just watched your video and decided to write to you. I hope you and Desi have a very Merry Christmas.
I am deeply sorry for the loss of your wonderful son. Oh Colleen I wish I could take all that pain away. Grief is something we all deal with in your own way...I will be fine for months and then a song comes on the radio which brings my lost loved one back and I cry and cry. and almost feels good to cry...they are still alive and well in my heart. when you think of what your son wanted for you, I am sure he wanted you to be happy. And my guess is you give it your all. Not even death can stop all that love between a parent and a child. I miss my Mother so much and I know all she wanted for me was my happiness...so through my tears, I go on and I have faith I will see her again. Thank you for being here...I am honored...and I am wishing you a very peaceful loving Merry Chritmas...xxo Susan & Dez

Such a touching Christmas video, Susan- an honest & openly so very kind & thoughtful; as well as filled throughout, with authentic gratitude🌲. I believe you've touched upon the often overlooked emotional background connection of this most special holiday season that is uniquely CHRISTMAS🎄 🎅🤶. 2021 for me is mostly about two words: Turning Point. Who knew, yes? I certainly had no idea, yet that's what seems to define this year in countless ways. Gratitude & thankfulness fill my heart & soul. 2015 took what felt like nearly everything that mattered, away. Now, six years later, I began embarking upon the new pathways of living once more & no one could be more surprised than me. I thank you for being a part of that. And- you ARE a good thing that eased me gently upon that unforeseen pathway to rejoin the *living*once more. [* shocked to suddenly be widowed & deeply in love*]. 2022 is a mystery to be experienced ...... embarking with thankfulness.🌟 Wishing you & sweet Desi a magical Merry Christmas.
Thank you for supporting me when I was going through a hard time! I can’t believe you wrote me such caring words. I’m crying too. I love you and all the subscribers that are here supporting each other. What a gift ! Merry Christmas
Hello Susan thank you for streaming these beautiful videos I love to watch them they me feel happy inside , I am a almost 65 single lady who whishes I had looked after myself better , you are so beautiful and elegant have a fantastic Christmas with your family and little Desi xxxc
Aren't we all a litte beat up : well said!! I think your mom and grandpa would be so proud of you and what you have achieved. I notice you have more subscribers than the ladies who recommended your channel. But I can see why you are popular. Thank you for just being your gentle and positive self - you're very refreshing and uplifting and encouraging.
You're right: we ARE family.... because you make us feel like we are part of your family ! You look so beautiful in that soft pink blush sweater and your make-up is gorgeous! I cannot tell you how much I look forward to your videos ! I think Desi is adorable.... I also have my 3 little fluffy dogs that have hilarious personalities and your sharing of Desi with us is so precious ! I also love the music you play in your videos.... so..... thank you so much for sharing yourself with us.... inspiring us and making us feel like a community of sisters (and even maybe some brothers) who are going thru --- and feeling like --- you!
Susan you and Desi are such a gift to us. This is going to sound crazy, but I hoard your video or maybe I should say hold it. I wait until I need that someone to help me carry on. You are like my friend in my pocket, I carry you with me. That good book that I don't want to end. God bless you dear friend for all that you are, I hope 🙏 you know how much you are valued. Much love from 🇨🇦.
Hi Susan You are a real treasure your thoughtful & kind nature towards another's is a blessing. Your channel is inspirational i love every minute of it 😀and sharing the short stories about yourself, past experiences & taking us on a trip to the opportunity shop's is always fun 🙂👍👏👏👗👜👠👢👒 Hope to see you next week & have a lovely week ahead & hope John liked his Orange/banana bread? 🤞🙏 May your Christmas holidays be a happy, joyful, peaceful one & most of all just being with the ones that matter most of all (FAMILY) 👨👩👧👦 God bless you & Desi & wish all of the ladies out there a very happy, safe & enjoyable Christmas time 🎄🌟
That was charming. This is my first viewing of this channel. Your channel was suggested to me by Patti, rxstr mom. She is over 70, as am l. You doggie is sweet. I was intrigued by the name of your channel. I thought, "Aha, a fellow poet." It is nice you are making the orange-nut bread for the curmudgeonly gent. And l was delighted that you adopted the snowman. I would have too. He is one of a kind.
You amaze me. This was another masterpiece. It's wonderful that you will be taking a film making class, but honey, you could be teaching a film making class. You've definitely enriched the YT watching experience for so many of us these last seven years, taking it to another level. A gal that would make a loaf of orange bread for an ex-neighbor that hates her and take in stray bedraggled snowmen is my kind of gal. And yes, it was MaryEllen that introduced me to you all those years ago. What a doll she is. Love to you and your darling little Desi in this beautiful Christmas season. Laurie
Laurie....can I get a hug? 7 years of us writing back and forth...I still have the beautiful box you sent me as a beautiful gift and in it treasured letters I have collected from my subscribers over the years. I cherish our friendship and after all these years, I look for your face in the crowd and always will...xxoo Merry Christmas my dear friend and Merry Christmas to that little fur baby of yours too!
You and Desi always warm my heart! And you bought the sweet snowman, so beautiful, seeing the beauty in things that others don't see, truly a blessing my dear friend. I thank you for all you have shared and I am so very thankful for you and Desi. The orange and banana breads look delicious! Your previous neighbor will appreciate that you thought of him and deep deep down he loves the banana bread too LOL. You have a way of decorating, you should have your own store! The Little Poet Store, it would be fabulous! Love and big hugs to you and Desi. At the end of each video, I see how happy, content and proud Desi is to do the outro with you and of course his cuteness within the video. I see how his eyes are filled with so much love for you. Have a beautiful week sweetest friend!
I am so happy I found your channel, I am 4 yrs out from divorce still struggling, but watching your videos has been inspiring to me! I look forward to your weekly videos and of course Desi! I look forward to the videos of the other bloggers, I watch these videos of women that are our age it makes me feel normal that I am not alone with what I value or think is important. I learned I need to have boundaries as I am too giving, but I do love my family
I loved everything gonna try to the orange bread and ever so glad you got the little snowman he has so many of our age groups qualities have a great week to you and desi 🎄🎄💞💞
Oh great! Another Little Poet video and I'm crying, it's okay I'm Pisces and that goes with the territory. I am so glad you rescued that little beat up snowman he reminds me a little of me at the moment. Grateful to having you in our collective corners. Stay well.
Hello Sweet Susan! I knew you were going to get the little snowman ⛄️!!! I so appreciate you for your beautiful videos and I can’t wait to see what you do in 22! This year was my first year of following anyone on UA-cam and now I can’t wait for Saturday nights and your latest post. It’s so good to have something to look forward to just for me not for anyone else. I think that is what I’ve learned this year. That it’s ok to do something just for me because it makes me happy! Best wishes and all the best to you dear friend and little Desi! Love Donna ❤️
Awe I just knew you would bring that snowman home, he’s home now. I love watching you decorate something so simple to a beautiful display. So grateful the day I found your channel. You and Desi bring me so much joy and comfort, I laugh with you and cry along with you. Bless you and our Sweet Desi, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you and your family. That last clip with Desi was just so adorable.❤️Seeing the intro with sweet MaryEllen is how I found you and I also follow Laura Rae and Natalie the Beauty Diva, amazing wonderful ladies.🎄❤️🥳🐾🥰
Merry Christmas Susan! I love your channel! I would love to go thrifting with you... I'd also buy the snowman! :) You think we have taught you.. oh how you have taught us! Sharing what I have learned in 2021: at 75 years old my husband and I left our home of 40 years with stairs and updated it to get the best possible price when selling. During a time when we could not get workers to work for us, we ended up doing most things ourselves. We were stretched farther than we thought we could be stretched but we are now in a ranch style home and we have the fun of making it our own... still stretching. Moral of this saga is that You can certain do more than you think you can. We still have many boxes to open and upgrading yet another place, this time we are not having so much trouble finding workers. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can! Don't underestimate yourself... you can do it!
Susan, you brighten our day every time any of us watch you. I have realized that being alive is so precious to me, as you see last December I was hospitalized with COVID it was quite serious I ended up with several blood clots ,pneumonia and problems breathing, it was very scary to be in the hospital and not have any family with me .. I was blessed to of had made it home 5 days before Christmas on oxygen for 2 more months and bed rest due to the clots. I thank god every day for my second chance and appreciate all that comes my way..So I want to wish you a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year and may 2022 bring you all the happiness you deserve ❤️💐💐
So glad you found value in the tattered snowman. He looks so happy to have a home in the decorations!Your centerpiece looks beautiful in addition to your entire home.I hope your neighbor drops the "grinch" and appreciates your kindness.Your warmth and graciousness bring us back each Sat.Merry Christmas Susan and Desi!🌲⛄😊
Hi Susan! I love, love this video! One thing I have learned in 2021 is that I am stronger than I know. Whatever life has (and will) throw in my pathway I will accept, conquer, and keep a smile on my face and love in my heart! 🥰
Ditto for me!!
I’m a nurse too but retired after 35 years of intense nursing. I admire that you are working still! Be kind to yourself and do something special for yourself every day! You deserve it. I agree, Susan and Desi are great company.💖
Hello Ann how are you doing?
Hello Ann how are you doing?
@@LittlePoet I was so relieved to see that snowman in your home!! I think we all were.
@@LittlePoet You're such a naturally gifted storyteller .......and so adept at evoking emotion from your subscribers. Of course I teared up too when I saw the snowman all warm & cozy in your home. Your description of the tattered and discarded snowman literally brought him to life for us.
Hello Susan how are you doing?
Susan, we are all so blessed to have you to cry and laugh with!! You and Desi have a wonderful Christmas!!
Thank you so much Laura...what a beautiful thing to say...a Very Merry Christmas to you!!! xo Susan & Desi
Hello Laura how are you doing?
I love that you gave the little snowman a home. He sat there patiently while others passed him by just waiting for you to save him.
Merry Christmas Susan.
Beth
I thought the same thing about the snowman. So glad Susan took him home with her. Just so sweet❤
I have suffered from agoraphobia for years I need to find a way to get passed it. Renee
@@reneeschroeder5583 if you need me to make a video about it I will you will get better I promise! I've made it to 73 living like this 🙏🙏❤️❤️ God bless you Merry Merry Christmas♥️♥️♥️
It won’t be Saturday if I didn’t spend time with you and Desi!
God bless.
She's become one of favorite people.
I'm praying for you to feel better and get well soon. Susan is wonderful she has a warmth and compassion that shines through.
Blessings, and love for you, and The Dez...Mimi
Bless you Mary Ellen we love you too.🥰
I want to come to your house, have tea and bread, and just sit in your magical space, and listen to you talk, for hours. I'd do some talking, yoo! Probably, quite a bit!!! So beautiful. You provide us with a fairy world, full of warmth and whimsy. Hugs.
I agree!!
Meee tooo
I would love to meet Susan.. ❤🙏🌝
Me too ❣️
Me too!
I'll be praying for your continued recovery and good health, Carolyn. Have a blessed Christmas.
@@loiscampbell3510 thank you so much Lois. And that was my mom's name❤
Link your channel Joyce! Let's got some nice gals to find you!

God bless you 🥰
I have been through all of it.
He got the gold mine and you got the shaft… but you turned the shaft into a beam of pure white light that warms many many lives. 🥰

Hello Linda how are you doing?
Rudolph is my favorite Christmas show but I can’t watch it anymore, for sadness. I’m 64 next month. It’s my favorite though.
Oh Susan, you don't need to take a film class. You could teach the film class. I'm always in awe of your videography. I always look forward to your videos. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

You may not think you are a Diva but you are definitely a STAR⭐️💥💫✨ Please keep being you and sharing your thoughts and life with us
Another sweet and thoughtful video Sues...you made the most beautiful centerpiece.. honestly you have a talent for putting pretty things together in a way that I can't tear my eyes away from them.
Tears are so healing. Your music is so calming. I get tingles, and get so relaxed watching your vids.
I am so happy to learn that your kitty loves me!!! Am I jumping the gun with " love"? Too soon? LOL....Merry Christmas my sweet friend!!
Love the earrings, also!!
Sometimes the Holidays can be the saddest of times...so many losses, family and friends. Your beautiful little videos spark joy and imagination and bring childlike wonder to the Season. Thanks for sharing your beautiful insights Susan! Blessings to you and Desi from Canada.

Oh! I’m so glad you brought Mr. Snowman home! He was longing to go with you to his forever home! ♥️
Omg, he hugged you! " We're all are a little beat up.

A little love goes a very long way.“. Indeed!
Darn it Susan you always make me cry…your words touch me so
So glad you bought the snowman, all he needed was a home and some TLC he looks so much cuter
What I have learned is to appreciate good health, the last 9 months I have been in a lot of pain, I herniated two disc, and doing so I have had sciatic pain, there were days I could hardly walk… I’m getting better and I see a light at the end of the tunnel, but it has taught me to appreciate every step I take, and how glorious it is to wake up, and not limp into the kitchen to get my coffee.
A true friend. A very Merry Christmas to you...and a very Happy new Year! Love always to you and yours, Susan & Dez
I will be more thoughtful. thank you. Joyce
I was so happy to see you bring the snowman home with you ! He will have a beautiful home with you and Dezi! Sending you warm wishes and a Merry Christmas! 🎄
Susan, what a sweet video! Your videos are so soothing to the soul. I feel like I have been visiting with a longtime friend. I could just eat up little Desi. He is such a little munchkin. I am so glad you pursued your dream. Keep being yourself and sharing your life with us. Love to you and Merry Christmas!
Thank you Carolyn! desi is a little Munchkin!!!! LOL...Merry Christmas!!! xo Sues & Dez
Thank you for your shopping Christmas tips. I was invited to a little Christmas lunch where we were to exchange gifts. Thanks to your tips I was able to shop in our local thrift stores and found things to pull together, making a perfectly lovely gift. I never would have thought of doing this without you ♡♡♡
This has been a very tough year for me. We moved to be closer to my father whose health was failing and he did pass away in October. You always are the bright spot in my week. Thank you for sharing your life with us, it means so much. Until next Saturday.........
Merry Christmas Susan! I come to your channel for your sweet, calming demeanor. It changes my mood for the better instantly.
Just started watching. I'm 65, dealing with the loss of my 29 year old son this past June, a hubby who is struggling with major health issues, and becoming more and more aware of my age. You handle everything so beautifully! I've enjoyed your videos. You have made me really think about this time in my life. What a wonderful mission you have inspiring others. We have much in common.Love thrifting and my sweet little Maebelle ❤ My little miniature golden retriever. I am an author, so many of the books you choose speak to me as well. Decorating is also passion that keeps me busy and THRIFTING. God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas.
Cheers to you sweet Susan and adorable Desi🥂….love being in your life and thank you..Happy Holidays and wishing you much peace, happiness and love..❤️..Liz❤️🎄
Susan, you are so precious! I really enjoyed our visit and am so glad you are still giving your "Mr. Grinch" goodies for Christmas!!! Thank you for the new recipes! Thank you for the "shout outs" to Mary Ellen, Laura Rae and Nathalie! Going to their channels tonight! Merry Christmas !!! XO
Susan, one video a week is just not enough and on top of that they are way to short. I am so blessed by finding your content this year. Enjoy your holiday season with family and your little gangsta!
Youre giving me female Mr. Rogers vibes.....and hunni this 52 yr old is here for it!!!🙌💖🙌 Ima new subbie. Love ur channel. Never ever change Queen.
Once again, I'm in tears as this video ends. Lol. So glad you got the snowman. And Desi is just precious. Thank you!
Thank you so much for being here Jana!!! You are so sweet!...A Very Merry Chritmas to you and yours! Love & Joy, Susan & Dez
What a wonderful video I new you would buy the snow man.Yes we were with you in your up’s and downs and we still are 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
You reap what you sow.. Most think that as a negative. You are the positive proof, when you walk in love, light, kindness, and compassion. That will let you reap as you have sown. And Ma'am you have done it WELL. Wishing you a happy and joyous holiday season.
There is Something that drew me in ,,about this Lady …She is such a Loving Spirit and She is Gentle with her Presentation .. She Absolutely Loves People and her little dog is so Adorable ... She is All About helping other Ladies and Men Find Things and Lessons that Are helpful in this difficult Life We Live Day to Day …..From one Susan to another ,, Thank You
Hi Susan:) in August I went to a Phil Collins concert with my youngest son.
Noone visits but I go visit my adult kids and gkids...I get uplifted when I watch you every week ❤️👍thankyou so much🤗
Susan you inspire me every week. Every week I learn something from you and it amazes me how good I feel after I watch you thank you.
Your place looks Merry and Bright 🌟 🎄 !
You are a true artist, very lovely and I love seeing Desi. Merry Christmas to you both. Catherine❤️🐕❤️🇨🇦
You are so sweet! A very Merry Christmas to you!!! Love always from Desi & me
Thank you Susan.
It makes me a little teary to try to explain what I feel about Christmas, but here goes:
When I was growing up, we had a silver, pom-pom Christmas tree.
Even as you chat with us, your eyes 👁️ give out that warmth of goodness just like your *home baked sweet breads 😇. You have decorations details giftitude right off the tip top! Your 'harmonious' subscriber friend ......
2022 is a mystery to be experienced ...... embarking with thankfulness.🌟
Wishing you & sweet Desi a magical Merry Christmas.
Thank you for supporting me when I was going through a hard time! I can’t believe you wrote me such caring words. I’m crying too. I love you and all the subscribers that are here supporting each other. What a gift ! Merry Christmas

Thank you, Susan! I am going to bake those two breads. You are a part of my life
Merry Christmas! Love you!

You always cheer me up and I thank you for being you. Have a happy Christmas.
Thank you too, Susan for all your sharing.
I'm glad I found your channel. May you have a wonderful Christmas!
That goes for Desi too!
Stay well.
You made that centerpiece look so easy to make.
It came out so beautiful!!!
I bet your homemade breads will be so appreciated!!.
Love your videos
Thank you Susan, you are an amazing role model for older women and you shine so bright!!
I hope you have a really nice Christmas Susan. And I love the snowman he is cute! Love you Desi!! xoxo
I just love that cute little Desi. He's so special. Happy Holidays to you both.
