You said the vocals are the most important which brings me three to add to Floor. Floor is a master of her instrument, probably the best of those that cover multiple genres in the world today. And while I don't present these women as competitive rivals each represents outstanding mastery of their instruments each representing the past three decades and multiple genres. All three are independent artists.
The oldest of these is Morgan James (30s) who has some classical background, done Broadway, been a featured performer with PostModern Jukebox (Dream on) and a prodigious independent artist (the entire Beatles White album) on her channel. She also is a wicked comedian.
In her late twenties is Hailey Reinhart with four albums covering jazz, country, 70s rock, and pop genres. She also has been a featured performer with PMJ (7 Nation Army, Creep, Black Hole Sun). She's a voice actor, movie actor, and done commercials.
One of the most reacted to performers on YTube over the past 18 months has been the now 17 year old, Russian contralto Diana Ankudinova, whose unique vocal range has stunned almost all who have heard her for the first time. She sings in English, Spainish, French, Arabic in addition to her native language. Singing on the Russian tv show "You Are Super" she won two successive seasons with outstanding performances of Derniere Danse, It's a Man's World, Rechenka, Wicked Game and Human when she 14 & 15. Here genres span from soul, rock, pop, jazz, and traditional Russian folk. She is currently working on her first independently produced album. Her channel has hundreds of live performances recorded over the past decade.
Bottom line here, each of these three will bring traffic of different fans who support their fav. Of the three, Diana will probably bring the most, but as I said at the beginning, all three will impress with their mastery of their instrument. No ..it!

Floor is a Huge fan of Henk Poort and she promised him that if he does the Phantom with her in this show they do one at a Nightwish show together.
In this show she sings in 4 languages and many different styles.
The older guy(Henk Poort) does a cover of The sound of silence you realy don't wanne miss.
If you do more from this show take the versions with the English subs and intro talks to get a better understanding in the backstory of why they take a song and why in that style.

You will find the Nightwish army to be extremely generous but fiercely protective. Its almost like a drug.

Same show, Floor sings "about love I don't know a thing" (she sings it to the young on the coach who was depressed for a long time when his parents divorced; he wrote this song to overcome his problem) listen to "Winner" with Floor. She sings it to the young man who wrote it for his brother who is disabled after an accident and ended in a wheelchair.
Furthermore she sang with Henk Poort a duet "Phantom of the Opera", in the mean while a classicer, febulous.
Floor can sing anything and touches your emotions, every time.

You're going to love her on this show lol! Floor sings in 4 different languages German, Dutch, Spanish and English. You more than likely will have never heard any of the other songs she sings on the show but she hits a home run with every one. I think only one of the other singers on the show was familiar with Floor all the rest had no clue who she was along with most everyone in her home country of the Netherlands. After the season was over she started a tour with the band from the show and some were lucky enough to see her before the pandemic cancelled everything ☹ great reaction once again 👍greetings from Florida 🤘🤘
Well, Tim Akkerman (the curly rocker) knows Floor a bit from earlier groups (After Forever, ReVamp) but she was a total unknown for the others... and also for most of Dutchies (except metal fans). That one changed a bit after this show... and she well deserved it.
She made this her own & kept it small , From her own U Tube channel the cover of the songs "Adagio" & "Oblivion" are life changing

Can I just say that I think it is so fantastic that you love tis song? It's another exercise in "don't judge a book by its cover." You don't seem like the person who might like it and yet you love it - and that's wonderful! It should just remind us all that no person is as they might outwardly seem; we are all complex creatures.

@@Versifyer Oh, my mind is crazy open. I listen to ALL kinds of music (except country... just can't do it) from all over the world. In fact, one of my favorite bands is a rap/street metal group from India called Bloodywood. They could not be more different than Nightwish, but I love them just as much. And my all time favorite group is Deep Purple, a classic rock band that's been around since 1968!
I just meant from a sociological perspective, your video is a great reminder that none of us are as simple as a stereotype would make us out to be.
Do the acoustic version of "How's the Heart". You also should go back to her first band "After Forever" and her second band "ReVamp". Some amazing singing there too.

Comparisons are, from my point of view, a good thing to describe similarities or differences, as well as emotions. They are difficult in a way of "better" or "worse".
Some people are just too easily offended by them I suppose. I personally think it brings perspective!

Beste Zangers (your pronunciation is fine I think) is a Dutch reality tv show featuring some of the top Dutch singers and they take turns singing each other's songs or maybe their favorites. This episode they were singing for Emma Heesters which Floor chose Shallow. Another of my favorites is Winner which she sings for Tim Akkerman who wrote the song for his wheelchair bound brother so it's very emotional but uplifting. Link:

Just do your thing my man. We understand the comparisons, but once you hear everything Floor can do, you will understand that she is a rare and special breed of vocalist. My friend you must remember that many of your viewers are from Europe. Europeans usually are able to speak 2, 3, or 4 different languages and they are trying to help you to understand some deeper cultural issues like pronunciations and such. It is not meant to demean your intelligence, only to help you learn and grow. Open your mind to the bigger world. Just like you my friend, I am an American which is a great place to live, but there is much to be learned and so much music to experience besides what is marketed to us in the States. Beste Zangers is a great show and something we do not have in the USA. It is not a competition. This is 7 well know Dutch vocalists from different genres paying tribute to each other by singing songs for each other. This one was sung for Emma Heesters (young blonde on the couch). She is an amazing YT singer who loves Lady Gaga. Floor also likes Gaga. Thus she sang this song for Emma. Loved it Versifyer. See you soon I hope. Peace out!
Hey, if you want to see a different side of Floor Jansen you should check her out in her previous band before nightwish. Revamp songs disdain and wildcard, awesome.

this is a much more intimate version than Gagas and I think it surprised all the other singers as they were all expecting Floor to belt it out as that is what she does for a living!

Just in case (which I can really recommend) you're going to do more of "Beste Zangers" make sure you take the clips posted by "jenniezelf" on UA-cam as she has also included the talking / interviews before and after with english subtitles. The concept of the show is, that on one day all singers sing a song for one of them.
It's a song that is by that singer or a song that means a lot for him / her. So it is very interesting to get to know the story behind each song. And it will help to understand the reactions of the other singers. Floor is singing there in German, Dutch, Spanis and English. Her "Phanom of the Opera" duet with Henk Poort is legendary.

Yes, I am another Nghtwish fan, but I have to say I am a music fan, if the composition and lyrics grab me I don't care who is singing it or what style it is. I really admire a band who can do a stripped back acoustic version of a song and it still be able to stand as a solid version. So while I can listen all day long to the epics that Tuomas and Nightwish have created like Ghost Love Score, Greatest Show on Earth, The Poet and The Pendulum (that is such a deep and meaningful song I think I forget to breathe) and Shoemaker, I go looking for the quieter or acoustic versions to listen to while painting (pictures not walls). Floor puts such feeling into any song, almost constant goosebumps, so if you like hearing her voice try How's The Heart and Nemo from the Planet Rock acoustic sessions

You should really check out her duet with Tim Ackerman(same show) to the same song. She doesn't hold back. Belts it out.
In your own time go to Jenniezelf channel and watch the versions on there. She has done a marvelous job clipping more of each song with English subtitles.

Finally did yourself a solid, keep it going....
Metal isn't part of the pop culture of the Netherlands. I can't help but think she was invited to this group of singers from Holland for contrast or possibly comic relief. They knew she was a tattooed lady who sang in a metal band. Then she opened the series singing light opera. Jaws dropped. She did a wonderful and impressive job singing each selection that she chose, and closed out the final show with a stunning interpretation of the Phantom Duet with Henk Poort (the oldest of the singers in the group). The video went viral, racking up a million views a week for over a month. (Over 13 million to date.)
She is now well known in the Netherlands, somewhat to her surprise, although she doesn't spend as much time there, as she now lives in Sweden with her husband and daughter.
Blame the radiostations not the people and nightwish does have fans in the netherlands. (comic relief) ?????....you can't help thinking wrong, i think!!!!! And also an insult to Floor, i think

This one did come through a bit too quiet. I agree. I was prepared for her usually loudness and it was a complete overlook on my part. I tried to boost in post but I didn't get it quite as amped as I wanted because the distortion started coming through.

Man I highly recommend watching either Winner, Mama, or of course Phantom of the Opera. I'm digging your reactions. Let's see what you got next! Yes it’s hard not to compare artists to another because that’s how associate to what we’ve listened to. That said poor Gaga she lost her song to Floor. She destroyed this song stripped down as it is. This show Beste Zangers brought Floor to another level showcasing her versatility. Many songs from this show you can also check out. If you feel adventurous to seeing Floor cover other songs check out her personal UA-cam channel. Since the band isn’t touring just yet.
