Thanks for sharing . Great footage from an awesome looking destination. Reminds me why we fly what we fly and shoot where we shoot , to create memories for ourselves and others. I have been on the fence on getting another DJI FPV Drone and or repairing the one that I have now. Stayed until the end and subscribed, i own a dji mini 3 pro, and i love it. I am ready for FPV though with the go pro 11 mount, the footage i have been seeing including yours looks fantastic and i can’t quite capture it on my mini 3 pro so i’m excited to own 2 cinematic drones!

Now that you can pick-up the FPV drone at very good price online, I have considered it. You got some awesome footage from the Hero 11 Mini mounted on top, and I understand a little better now how the FPV drone can help you get different shots than the Avata. I did stay until the end, sorry about Sony overheating and losing your footage, I lose footage all the time. I need my camera's uploading to cloud as soon as the footage has stopped recording. I lose audio all the time as well. Great video Eddie, and thanks for sharing.

Awesome footage Eddie! I need a Mini 11 that shits crystal!! I have had my fpv drone since April of 22 and i absolutely love the power and range of that baby. I just ordered an Avata but i have a feeling the DJI FPV Drone 2 and Goggles 3 are about to drop, theirs a reason the goggles 2 wasn't named Goggles 3 Imo🤦♂

I dont know if they will release a new fpv like this one, they are too focused making selfie cameras and agros.
I would like the new fpv to have better signal, and be even faster.
But im perfectly happy with mine, its a dream to own, the video feed is great, the speed and the camera has great image. Its super agile and fun, i mostly fly it for fun not footage, that says a lot😁✌️

Me too, really hope the next dji drone will be a fpv v2. Perhaps the rumor of the Avinox name is the next fpv , we just need to wait at least til march to find out

I stuck around to the end and I'm here to tell you I have 2 of those drones. They are beyond my favorites and if I find out DJI is going to come out with another version I'm going to do an ocean's 11 where they store them at and grab one before they go on sale! Come to think of it maybe I should just go ahead and do it now and get the prototype....

Much easier to film at slower speeds and speed it up in post. I get far better battery usage doing this as well.
Not the same with motion blur and you’ll see jitter from the skipped frames. If it works for you tho, that is all that matters.

You shouldn’t have to do any firmware updates to switch drones. You might need to check your firmware. I can easily switch between avata and o3 for example with just changing the settings in the goggles. The issue is the remote control when going to o3
really? any time I switch from o3 Air Unit to DJI FPV or Avata, or between Avata and FPV I have to do a short firmware update and rebind the DJI FPV controller 2 to the drone. IF it stays in O3 air unit mode it switches between my custom built drones, all with ELRS receivers and o3 Air units, seamlessly. The same kind of thing happens when switching between the Mini 3 Pro and the Air 2s so I wonder if it is something with my particular version of the DJI Fly app.

I fly my FPV drone all the time! I enjoy the speed of the drone, but I wish the controller was full size. My wish is that the integra goggles binded to the FPV drone

I will always love my FPV Potato because it was my introduction to FPV, but since I started building my own drones, the performance, durability, weight, etc is not even close. I had to force myself to fly the Potato the other day and while I had fun, I couldn't wait to get back into my custom drones. I've crashed a DJI Potato before and I am always a little scared to fly in any risky manner with it. With the M10 GPS under $20 and Betaflight 4.4 GPS rescue being so good, the advantages of DJI drones are becoming less and less. My custom built drones all have o3 Air Units so the video quality is the same as the Avata. The ability to tune alone makes custom built or BNF drones better. Like I said, I will always love my DJI FPV for getting me into FPV, but I can't agree that buying it now is worth it.
Fair comments William. I treat this FPV drone as my long range cinematic cruiser and its my go to for vacations as you saw in this video. I also have BNFs which I love, especially because of the points you made. However, it is very cumbersome to travel with traditional FPV components.
what custom drone website or brands do you recommend? I'm wanting to put the new DJI action camera on one, so it would need the power for that.

What are the DJI FPV requirements. I just purchased the immersion package along with the mini 4 pro. However, the immersion package is not compatible with the mini 4 pro. What remotes, FPV gear and hand controller works with the DJI FPV?
All the FPV gear works with the DJI FPV drone, goggles and remotes.
Made it until the end. I guess I'm different than most people though, I usually won't even click on a video unless it's over 5 mins long.

I would argue a betaflight based quad is the better option if you arent against the tinkering and dropping the somewhat more user friendly experience. The battery life is going to be better pound for pound on the dji but you can put it to shame if you want. I just put an O3 airunit in my iflight evoque.
A betaflight quad would always be superior, but for a newbie or someone looking to do cruising over risky places, the DJI FPV is superior.
I have the Avata with Integra Goggles and now the goggles are supposed to be compatible with the FPV drone. I don’t know if should I get the original FPV drone or wait for the new one which probably won’t be compatible with my current goggles. Do you think that the first FPV drone together with a GoPro will be a good drone for a couple of more years?
I think the original FPV drone will be here to stay. I don’t think we will see more of these types of drones from DJI, only avata style.

Can I use the dji fpv goggles that come with the drone for other drones? And controller?
The DJI FPV drone only works with DJI goggles and controller. However If you build your own drone later and get a DJI 03 Air unit then you can use your goggles still with your new drone but will have to get a new controller.
Yes, you can. Especially with Air 3 units.

I don't know, seems like the drone records great quality video with the DJI video unit, no need to lug along a gopro but I guess I am not super picky photo dude.
Its fair, the sensor size is small compared to what is out there right now. But if it works for you, that is all that matters.

Tough to say. I think the community definitely wants to see another fpv v2 but apparently DJI said in an interview they wont be making one because of all the crashes.

I just got off a chat with a DJI tech person... I will never buy from DJI again. I spent like an hour talking to this guy... finally he said.. you'll have to buy a new battery sent me the link... $159.00... that is just too much.. the goggles battery is only 30 bucks. Lesson learned...

This one is by far my favorite DJI drone BUT battery endurance is a joke. 5 to 7 minutes when real 30 minutes flight time (minimum) is what is needed . I hope DJI does not abandon this amazing design and that fixes battery performance asap. I would happily pay double for decent batts for this aircraft . I hate the Avata, a useless expensive toy. Just bought a brand new Mavic 3 and while I find it to be a masterpiece drone the old Potato FPV is the most fun and agile DJI drone to date, period .
It’s hard to get anywhere close to 30 minutes on a FPV drone using a lipo battery. Maybe it can be achieved using a ion battery, but you will lose that punchy throttle and definitely will need throttle control to maximize on efficiency.
They are not going to come out with a new FPV drone since they sell the DJI Air unit to put in custom quads, people in the FPV community are very into building their own and DJI knows that, the biggest problem DJI has in that area is needing to plug your phone into the goggles in order to take off, custom quads don't have that burden so people are just building their own quads using DJI air unit and DJI goggles instead of having to deal with the hassle.

I build my own quads, and still prefer a DJI fpv for long range, or over water flights. Can’t wait for the fpv v2, it’s coming.

This potato has power? A 7" BNF has MUCH more Power and is MUCH more agility, better flight performance at all!
Yes you are correct, but what that 7” bnf doesn’t have is the smart features, ease of use, that the DJI fpv offers.
