Just so you are aware, Soylent is banned in Canada because they don't adhere to their standards as to what a meal replacement is.
Their reasoning is sound, America Vilified Fats and Cholesterol but both are very important for the body. Soylent uses those erroneous studies produced and published by the Sugar Companies in their product and marketing. It's definitely one of the funniest vids in a while, what keeps me coming back to this content after all these year's is the fact that you STILL see stuff that you've never seen before. That shroom escort level felt like somebody had to search the depths of the game's code to even figure out how it was possible to get it working, and the koopa kid gauntlet was another absolutely insanely creative method to torture someone. Like yeah, it's poorly designed, but that's the point. Coming up with stuff like that requires such a stupid amount of creativity and on top of that the effort of the uploader actually beating it themselves. It's commendable in its own twisted way.

That Koopa Kid shield level is just one more example of a neat concept with a horrible execution. Checkpoints and maybe an extra powerup or two would have made that a lot less frustratingly unforgiving.
If memory serves, don't clear conditions prevent the placement of checkpoints?
You can just put a "manual checkpoint", that is, something that link can do that Mario can't to progress to the checkpoint and then next koopa kid.
@@silky_merkin Maybe not, but the level appears to be a boss rush so it's actually necessary to have zero checkpoints; the clear condition just raises the stakes a little.

I'm not entirely familiar with every interaction the Link suit has. Could you not just have used the forward charge dash on that last platform with the Boom Booms? Or would they have dealt damage to you as you passed through them? Or would you even pass through them at all?
Yes, it would've worked on all of them. Definitely could've started at the bowser jr and ran straight to the goal. as long as you don't get hit by bowser fire. surprised he didn't realize this
