I do love the cool licenses we've gotten, but boy do I love how creative the original killer concepts are
I feel like most of the licenses are boring. They keep doing videogame licenses with not scary characters. Who actually finds Wesker or Nemesis scary? Vecna isn't even slightly scary.
Honestly, the original characters are way more mechanically interesting 9 out of 10 times imo. The last 3 licensed characters we got were a guy with Demo's lunge ×2, a killer doll with a midrange lunge and pallet mitigation ability like Demo, and an otherworldly alien with a midrange attack and tunnel transportation whose hubs are frequently right next to generators, which is LITERALLY what Demogorgon does. I love Demogorgon as much as the next guy, but damn, play another tune. Vecna is a breath of fresh air.
@@Droid6689Wesker is one of the best mechanical killers in the game tho, it was a good addition because the game is not about being scary anymore
@@mitchsz Then what's the point? If it's just a competitive game then there's hundreds of better games to play
@@Droid6689name a better killer game then dbd with a fan base
They did a really good job at making this killer creepy af
I think they tried to make him _too_ creepy and by doing so they made him actually goofy.
The axe, the shirt and the hair are all put together with no real reason, like it doesn't follow any sort of aesthetic, just a weird looking guy with an axe
à PRETTY* good job so far
@@theycallmeJackoexactly
@@theycallmeJackoI think the axe puts it over the top. Like wtf he need that for lol
@@sionkeanu2753 i mean isnt the whole thing about the unknown that its an amalgamation of the theories of people in-universe of what it actually is. is it a monster? an axe-murderer? an alien? a ghost? is it even real or a myth?
I think the reason Survivors get off the gens when you teleport is because your Terror Radius doesn't instantly drop to 0. It must fade and when you teleport, the terror radius is still audible for a short amount of time
I know for a fact that whenever your Undetectable status effect ends, the terror radius doesn't come back immediately, but take around a second or so to fully be back (pretty much appearing whenever the black smoke around your screen disappears). Maaaaaaybe the same goes with whenever you lose terror radius...? Who knows ^^
@@VelvetHexUwU it does
Yeah thats how it works,it progressively grows or shrink, its not immediate,or else survivors would know you just went undetectable, like if they hear heartbeat as if youre really close to them and then it just dissapear in an instant, this way it gives the impression youre walking away from them instead
Im convinced tofu de-ranks to find weaker megs to further advance his meg hating agenda.
There is no Meg that is safe from Tofu’s wrath
Always has been. All content makers de-rank so they can show how good they are because that's the thing makes people watch them.
@@theanonymous5065 its so easy to hit the mmr cap that new players find themselves at it all the time.
i have quite literally never seen a good meg. in my 3k+ hours
@@DeputyFish I play killer frequently and they exist, but they’re so rare due to most good players preferring to play another character like Yui or Feng
I'm fairly certain the sound of your teleport is heard globally by survivors, but they wouldn't have any indication besides terror radius if it was close to them. Otherwise, if they knew the location of the hallucination they could just be playing cautiously whenever you teleport. I could be wrong, but that's at least what I would do as a survivor.
the teleport sound range is large but not global, I've personally seen his hallucinations enter cooldown animation (as he teleported to a far away one) and not heard the noise. Also, the sound is produced both at the husk the unknown leaves behind and the hallucination he teleports to
@@UnsolverI believe it’s directional as well. That’s why the survivors in the first match were avoiding him.
I genuinely believe that the unknown is the most balanced and fun killer in dbd to date
Sound like skill issue
@@theanonymous5065 if youre gonna roast him like a mean meg, at least make it make sense XD
@@theanonymous5065so you're saying he's a good player then lmao
@@theanonymous5065 dumb take😂
ive been using nowhere to hide, unforeseen, and pop on him since day 1 of the ptb. its a practical jumpscare build which is very fitting for the character
bbq might be good replacement for nowhere to hide so you will have the auras + know where to teleport
HAvE yOu SeEn mY DoG?
WaNt sOme cAnDy !!!
😁
Love the creative videos lately! It's been great to see you back on the youtube grind!
That build would also be fun to pair with dragons grip if you leave a tp by the gen
Yes! Thank you! I’ve been wondering why no one else seems to have thought of that! Especially since the terror radius remains on the gen and is very distracting. Plus the new thing where you can just tap a gen to stop it regressing and immediately run
Unforseen+nowhere to hide is super combo!
I highly recommend Sketch Attempt with this build. 20 seconds of Oblivious on every UVX shot means you can mindgame tall loops much better, and if you teleport out of sight right after weakening them, half the time they run into you or act super paranoid since they have no idea which direction you're approaching from or if you're even chasing them anymore.
I've been running this build for a couple of weeks and its honestly the most fun I've ever had playing DBD! So happy others are finding out how fun jumpscare Unknown is 😊
The reason why she knew to look right there is because when you teleport theres a directional audio cue
Man cannot be stopped. The cool build videos are upon us. We are eating good!
I feel like I've barely seen any content made for this killer after the first couple weeks of their release which made me so sad. it's so cool to see this!! fun build :p
May the algorithm ever be in your favor
I use this exact build, but with friends til the end instead of pop and either iri addon instead of the green one.
You can be super aggressive with teleports with the blurry photo and either iri addon works great.
Tofu posting more content is so fun
lmfao im sure that sable jumped out of her seat
I actually did some testing and found something interesting.
First, you also get 10 charges (not seconds, more on that later) towards your Hallucination whenever someone is Infected, not just from UVX Blasts. This means that if you use the iri Captured by the Dark add-on, you functionally start with a Hallucination ready to deploy the moment you have control. The green Vanishing Box add-on also gives charges. I'd assume that Weakening someone via failing to Dispel, but I wasn't able to test that on my own.
Second, the cooldown of the Hallucination spawn functions like Wesker in that the more people you have Weakened, the shorter the cooldown is. The reduction amount is... weird, though. I lacked proper tools for millisecond testing, but these should be accurate with about a .25 second margin of error.
0 Weakened: 45 Seconds
1 Weakened: 36 Seconds
2 Weakened: 25.75 Seconds
3 Weakened: 19 Seconds
4 Weakened: 13 seconds
No, I don't know why there's a bigger reduction from 1 to 2 than there is 0 to 1, but there's definitely diminishing returns after. Note that the 3-second deployment time (when the border changes from pink to green and starts filling faster) isn't affected by this and remains 3 second, and is also not factored into these times.
Third, even though Weakening someone is supposed to reduce the cooldown by 10 seconds, if you think of each second as a charge and the power requiring 45 charges by default, it adds 10 charges.
Amazing! You're the first person I've seen online notice this! :D
@@Xenard I am too, which really baffles me, because you'd think people would talk about it more. I'm no big-name so I'm just hoping someone with more influence sees this and investigates or something.
the range of the sound when you teleport is 16 meters, but walls can interfere so it’s not very consistent. In any case past 16 meters you’re guaranteed to not alert them if you’re undetectable
Lethal + Nowhere is a solid combo on basically any killer
Yo, this idea is genius
Funny enough this is my main build for Unknown and it is so much fun, I swear.
aw man i wanted a 3rd game so bad, even if it isn't the most scientifically accurate way, this was so much fun! :D
This is the build I run with unknown but instead of lethal I run I’m all ears to get hits through walls during chase with his blast thing
Woooo tofu upload
14:50
She DID just get off the hook, but she also just got on a gen. If you're OK with progressing the game, you're OK to be chased.
Undetectable/Oblivious is really strong right now. There's so much synergy, especially with Unforeseen now, you can keep your TR off you pretty much the entire match. Constantly surprising survivors and starting your interaction with a hit, half the chase is already over!
Demogorgon tops it off with stacking duration addons and get 16sec of Undetectable coming out of portals. _Unforeseen - Dark Devotion - Furtive Chase - Nemesis or FTTE_ It's filthy with double iri Doctor, too. _Vanity Mirror for Tier 2 "Scratched Mirror" Myers_
Deathbound is slept on, it's a very useful perk -- it's tracking and Oblivious
Hot & sour soup extra Tofu🔥
"She just got off hook, there's no reason for us to follow up on that."
Doing gens and not healing is the very definition of a reason to follow up on that?
22:40 what the hell is up with that right arm when you open the locker?
Isn’t the loud noise when teleporting map wide? Like when Plague picks up her power?
Damn that’s literally just my normal unknown build
wow this is my favourite part time youtuber
You make Unknown look so easy
"The Ugly Hunter". Should be the name of this build.
Another thrilling breakdown, OhTofu! Your insights on the killer Unknown in Dead By Daylight are always on point. Can't wait to try out some of these strategies in my own matches. Keep the killer content coming!

I think I may be going crazy but in your intro there is this occasional high pitched sound that sounds like the warning sound my fridge makes if I leave the door open. Theres a really noticeable one around 1:45. At least for me, it's like a dog whistle it drives me nuts. 😅
The unknown sounds like Gooigi
Most fun killer in the game
I havent playing in awhile how do yk w the unknown when your gunna leave a clone ?
There's an audio cue, and the bars on the side of the screen will fill to reach the top when you're about to spawn a hallucination.
@@SirNawk ohhh thanks
tofu the reason you heard that killer instinct in the first game 7:35 is bc they stoped dispelling your copy half way through
Ps I also can’t believe you actually timed me out for a whole 24 hours on twitch bc I got you with a deez nuts joke 🤣
So we can hit them directly with his power and it damages? Cause when I direct hit it doesn't seem to damage. Is it only if you hit their legs?
It does damage when it explodes after landing on the ground
@@Idontlikethemoneybutitlikeme Completely didn't answer my question. If you hit them directly it only slows them down and doesn't do damage. But in this video you can clearly see him directly hitting the legs of the survivor and then it hits the ground afterwards. My question is where is the meridian point where it no longer just slows and actually bounces off of them
Gonna do a vid on the official dbd randomizer?
AoE2 soundtrack? Sorry too busy listening to this banger, what were you saying?
♥u Futo
You really should just put out some games where you had fun with a certain killer I really love those games
Tofu I love you and AC/DC!!!!!!!!
Wasn't know where to hide not being updated to gen or was I mixing it up with ultimate weapon.....
Yeah you are mixing it with Ultimate Weapon. I have said myself from the day that Nowhere to Hide was revealed that it should be around the gen not around the killer as its not really counterable with anything else than hiding in a locker, having distortion or staying away from the killer. Its one of those idiot proof perks like Ultimate Weapon was.
I main unknown been p100 absolutely satisfying killer bbq and chili is his best perk
Want some candy!?
i mean tbf. you cant really expect people to play against a killer with a 64% winrate and a 10% pick rate.
What happened to your friend monto?
why his arms so janky when he opens lockers?
wait is tofu making YT vids again?
Tofu what province are you from
your mom
@@MonkeyBurrito thanks
afk claudette, gotta love it
He/she has an add on to where u can teleport and a clone stays back with a terror radius and stain that add on would be perfect with this build kick gen then teleport
I like trail of torment. If you can push a survivor that is alone then that gen might not be worked on for a bit and give you undetectable for many seconds
22:31 min?😅
Wow I’m never this early
"I didn't feel like this game showed cased the build well"
Why did you post it then.....
