i had no problem with the first part of your comment, it was the self obsessed snobbery that followed that pissed me off.. It is very hard to make something cutting edge when electronic music has been so fully explored, Pangaea was at the forefront of the dubstep movement so who are you to say that he is predictable... I'm sure you didn't predict dubstep spawning as many offshoots as it has... one more thing, please don't patronise me, even if you have been listening to dance music since c.1924
please... i listen to all sorts of music, much of it critically acclaimed (as is pangaea) and even if it isn't who gives a fuck, people are free to listen to what they like.. the level of cynicism that you show is pretty horrifying, as far as i can tell all you do is offer incredibly unconstructive criticism on various different songs..
Why are maccagrabme's comments being removed? Censorship isn't really very sensible is it?. I don't agree with him though. I've been listening to dance music since 1989 and i still think this tune is rude, it's a skankers riddim :-) There's some great stuff about but, due to the ease with which things get released there's no quality control so the scene is awash with vanity releases by DJ Spazz and friends. (if there is a real DJ Spazz, no offence intended)
i do sort of agree with maccagrabme. i don't think this song is bad, i think its ok, and you i would happily dance to it, but it's not really very new or interesting (although those vocals are something new.) i don't wish to spread hate, i just want to know what you think is really good and genius about this song. thanks :)
I'll stick with music of all genres and all decades that is pushing the boundaries of technology. Not a dull damp squib of noise that is going nowhere. Geez you kids are far too easy to please. I could record a sysex patch dump and you'd all be singing it's praise raving to it.
Not bad but a lot of this new generation dance music sounds a bit lost. Its just a beat with garage overtones and a ghetto bassline that isn't really pushing any major boundaries. Someone messing about with Ableton Live on a laptop and a few sample cds.
this is my karaoke song of choice
inside the mind of pangaea on a lazy sunday afternoon....
this is intense.

Most of the new generation don't to be honest, that's why I believe there are so many genres nowadays because nobody knows what they want to do.
>implying dance producers have ever known what they were doing
I think it's good to not really know what you're doing. open to more possibilities.
