    1. The boy on the wooden box (by Leon Leyson)
    2. The incident on the bridge (idk who it’s by)
    3. Girl, interrupted (I still don’t know who it’s by)
Girl, interrupted is aimed towards 12-14 year olds (for swearing etc.)
The boy on the wooden box was written by a holocaust survivor. It’s more for 10-12 year olds (violence really violent.)

If you want funny characters, the William of Alamore series is a great Medieval Sword/knight fantasy series. However, KotLC is one of a kind-I do not recollect any of similar character groups. (Might also want to try the Land of Stories. I’ve heard it is a great series, but I never could get into it)

as a now teenager, we seriously need more books about the transition between being a kid and a teen, especially for girls. it hit me at twelve and i had an entire mental crisis. PLEASE educate your children about this, and girls (and boys!) just know that it’s normal what you’re going through

    (I’m 12 right now.)

    -Tuesdays with Morrie
-The first 5 people you meet in heaven
-The first phone call from heaven
    All by Mitch Albom!

I think magnus chase is a good choice if you 1. Can handle *very* mild swearing, like 2. Norse mythology (or mythology of any kind) 3. Liked the Percy Jackson series because it’s by the same author.
