Roy Jones Jr is probably the most gifted athlete in the history of boxing. But his style is a "young man's" style. You have to be young (full of energy and strength) to do the things Jones did, which is ironic to say because you have to be mature and experienced to also do what Roy Jones Jr did.
But look at Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis: Ali had a fast pace style, a style better executed and displayed when you're young, and it showed. Later in Ali's career he started using the "rope a dope" strategy because he was just simply not as fast as he used to be. You can work out and exercise rigorously but it's inevitable that things start to slow down, and it's normal. But Joe Louis, who had a dynamic style, had a composed approach: Louis is regarded as one of the greatest champions of all time but he's also regarded as perhaps the most textbook perfect fighter. Louis never threw a punch without purpose.
The point of the matter is, even fighting styles can determine how long your stay is in the boxing world.
Fascinating insight even five years later especially for someone new into Boxing.

Its mostly what has been believed for a long time since the early days of boxing. Now there is said to be scientific proof that that masturbating does not have a bad effect in your overall boxing performance the day after you masturbate. They say if you masturbate it increase your testosterone. This could be true but I dont like doing it since I feel weak when I do it but I dont the next day though, so yeah it could be true. I still wouldnt masturbate before a fight though, ha
