It was not a Saturday or Sunday fight that was hard it was Tuesdays and Thursday’s sparring days, when you spar the same person, who’s taller, bigger and clearly a weight class or 2 bigger than u and you sparred them a million times and u know ur out gun but u step in there and try to win a inch by inch like okay this time I tagged him more etc… that was heart back then stepping in knowing ur getting ur ass kicked but still being brave … probably for a bunch of CTE as an adolescent but whatever life is short lol

@Broken Dice In MMA you have to learn a lot more than just boxing. Theres wrestling, jiu jitsu, clinchwork, and the standup which could be muay thai, wing chun, karate, taekwando, boxing, capoeira, judo, sambo, all depending on the martial artist. Theres alot more to focus on. We have to schedule our week; how many sessions of wresting, jiu jitsu and boxing im going to do this week. Its not as simple as boxing. Jiu jitsu might be the most technical martial art on the planet. And in competion we have worry about getting taken down, elbows, knees, getting submitted.
@Broken Dice also with boxing any average guy could get a lucky shot by swinging wild and knocking a guy out. If you get taken to the ground there is no luck. You can probably 3x out of 10 ten get a lucky shot and KO a pro boxer. You can't submit a Jiu Jitsu black belt because theres no luck involved. Its all hours of training and hard work. You cant just get lucky and wrap someone up in a triangle choke.

Whatever fits your personality best. I don’t have the guts to get into a boxing ring, I know I’ll fight to death if I ever have to get there but the idea of hurting my brain is far more frightening than anything to me, respect to everyone stepping in there
